Part 3 - Words matter. They can make or break us and those around us. Word can influence in the most profound ways, both good and bad. So, what effects do our words have for the good? Knowing all that we know, what positives come from a spiritually mature tongue? How can God use our words? Have you ever been with someone and after theyve spoken youve simply been helped and all you could say was Well said!. Its refreshing, helpful, convicting and even at times life-altering! God can use our words to truly give health.

Part 2 - Sanctification is the process of making us more like Christ. In all ourbeing, Gods plan is that we would be made in the image of Christ. Jesus is themeasure to compareto when it comes to maturity. This means that our tonguemust also be subject to Christ.Whatwe say is an indicator of our maturing. Just like Jesus had ultimate controlover His Words, we too must grow in the maturing of our speech. The tongue must be under control as it's a conductor, contained as it's a fire, and constrained as it's like a wild animal. If we hope to achievematurity with our words, wemust learn what is needed to achieve the threeabove scenarios.

Part 33 - Johnthe Baptist was the greatest prophet sent by God. The Bible teaches us that hehad the highest privilege of Jesus forerunner. Jesus admonished him as beingthegreatest born among women. John was a mighty preacher, a rugged man and wasone that had a great following. Yet, John couldnt escape the very humancharacteristicof doubt.Herewe see how Jesus deals with someone who doubts. This ought to be a comfortto us because when we truly are one of His, our doubting doesnt reframe us inHis mind. In fact, what we find is that Jesus defends John in spite of others making judgment about him. Part 32 - Widows were amongst the poorest of society in Jesus day. Having lost a husband notonly meant emotional turmoil but often meant that a ladys financial securitywas severelycompromised. Often the hope was that children, particularly a son,would then be able to take up the mantle of providing for her.Here, we observe Jesus manner with someone who wasnt a person ofmeans but a person lowly in society. Here we see Jesus show compassion to onethat was sufferingthe ultimate loss: the death of a child. We will see Jesuscompassion toward this widow of Nain.

Part 1 - We are accountable for each word we utter. As people, we can use our words to both hurt or heal. Yet, as Gods people, we must understand that our words can impact eternity.

God who created man in His own image, enabled man to have meaningful communications. We are set apart in this way from all of Gods creation. Language and speech isnt just instinctual, its something we have been given that distinguishes us to be made in Gods image. Yet, what we find is that words spoken can either bring good or evil. The source of words comes from within and is an indicator of the reality within. Words bring out what is truly happening in our heart. So, when we speak, nothing is accidental. Words are realities of the hidden.

Part 31 - Some of the most memorable stories of Jesus life almost always involves Him doing something miraculous for those in need. In this chapter, the driving characteristic that is examined by Luke is Jesus mercy. We see Him interacting with people across the wide cross-section of society and with all, He shows mercy.The first one is a Centurion.What we find in this first interaction is that mercy is available to those who are in the greatest of positions, who have worth in the sight of others, but have underlying values that Jesus commends.
