v2 – Attaining wisdom & discipline (discernment & instruction/correction)
v2 – Understanding words of insight (lit: understand words of understanding)
v3 – Acquiring a disciplined & prudent life (“prudent” = wise behavior, emphasis on action)
v3 – Doing what is right & just & fair (right: morality, just: legally, fair: relationally)
Micah 6:8
v4 – Giving prudence to the simple (naïve, open-minded, foolish, simple. Wisdom is not just elite)
v4 – Giving knowledge & discretion to the young (That the young might learn without exp.)
“Learn from your mistakes, but whenever possible, learn from the mistakes of others!”
v5 – Wise would add learning & Discerning would get guidance (Never stop/finish…)
v6 – To understand proverbs & parables (Progressive & Cyclical, Concept of Hermeneutics)
v7 – Fear = Reverence/piety, Beginning = initial & principal, Despise = disrespect/devalue
