We don’t take heart because we escape suffering but because, by faith, we can see victory through it with spiritual eyes.  We therefore need to pray about our problems first so that we aren’t living in reaction to the devil, but in response to God.

One of the things we need to move through is our feelings, which requires faith to endure. Trusting that GOD is with us as we experiences feelings that are uncomfortable or unpleasant, and even painful. On the contrary, if we avoid our feelings we become imprisoned to them.

The difference GOD made in the lives of those who made a difference started with devotion not deeds.  And prayer is central to our devotion in CHRIST, this is the sacred space wherein our  relationship with HIM is refined. It is not a systematic code, but being there as simply and honestly as we can manage.  Prayer is placing ourselves in GOD's hands - relying on HIS sustenance alone.

GOD has carried us as a church through some turbulent seasons since our birth 4 years ago. HE has guided us through the unfamiliar dessert and keeps been consistent in HIS character, and HE is not yet done. This is true in our personal journeys. The enemy wants to distract us from the direction we're going in because he doesn't have the power to keep us from the promised land.

As a church, another way that we grow in our devotion to one another is by seeking reconciliation. We have to intentionally embrace the ongoing navigation of unity together as GOD's people - a unity that transcends the divides and prejudices we hold by virtue of our human nature.
