The failure of those under the law in no way nullifies God's faithfulness, but only serves to further demonstrate his righteousness.

God gives us grace to fight against hypocrisy by calling us to place our confidence not in our works but in the gospel of Christ and the work of the Spirit to change our hearts so we can grow in godliness and practicing what we preach.

God’s Word is the only way we can have clarity about our sinful condition without Christ and the gospel of Christ is the only power by which our sinful souls can be saved from that sin and from the judgement those sins deserve.

God will judge all people impartially (Jews and Gentiles alike) based on their deeds.

God is just to pour out His wrath upon unrighteous sinners and God is merciful to pour out His wrath on His righteous Son so that the unrighteous can become righteous in Christ.

God calls us to exercise self-control by being dependent upon the Spirit of Christ so that we can demonstrate the love of Christ all for the glory of Christ. Biblical self-control is not about bringing ourselves under our own control, but about being controlled by the love and power of Christ.

We are not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for salvation!
