Amidst the recent COVID-19 virus events - we must look to God as our only Refuge. The state, nor it's institutions, nor the economy, nor this worlds sinking foundations can ever be a secure refuge for the longing soul. --Christ alone is our sure foundation - refuge-

Genesis 1-27 - Mankind is created in the image of God for God. We are made especially for our Creator. --Three Sermon Points--1. Mankind is created, not evolved.-2. God created us in His own image for a reason.-3. Our responsibility towards our Maker. --Mankind consists both of Body -flesh- and of Soul -Spirit-. Heaven -- earth had to come together to form man. There is purpose and meaning in life, we are NOT like the animals - to just eat, drink, be merry - watch TV. --We are made to have a relationship with our Creator. The only way we can do that is through Jesus Christ, who made a way for us to be right with God - through what He did on Calvary for us sinners.

A very brief message explaining the doctrine of Total Depravity. A much mis-understood - taken out of context doctrine. --Every part of man's senses - faculties - have been corrupted by the consequences of Adam - Eve's - Original Sin. That does not mean utterly depraved, but totally depraved. 1 Samuel 8-7 - The people's rejecting of Samuel the prophet and consequently God, so that they may have a king reign over them like the nations around about them. --The excuses the elders made to Samuel help us understand the real reason why they wanted a King to reign over them. --Herein is the danger of rejecting God in ones life that king sin may reign instead of the King of Kings. For where your desire is there will your heart be also. --Decisions made in haste can rob men of their reason.
