I keep seeing this topic pop up in my newsfeed so I thought I’d share my views on it. The thing is...deception is all around us. It’s in New Age Manifestation, it’s also in religion. Anytime that you are tricked into thinking that you have to give your power to something “out there”, you have been fooled.

THE DIVINE LIVES WITHIN.

That’s where it’s accessed and that’s where you will always find truth.

If you look around you will see people giving their power away to external objects like crystals and even deities which sets a person up for deception.

Now I am by no means saying that you should not enter into prayer or use crystals...what I am saying is that there can be a real fine line and you must be able to use your discernment + intention.

Rather we are praying to a god “out there” or using a crystal to heal our heart chakras, there’s one thing that we should always remember...that the divine is always in charge and it’s accessed through YOU.

Perhaps the greatest paradox in the world of co-creation is that in order to receive something faster, we must learn how to slow down first.

When we can’t slow down our energy becomes “frantic” and that’s when we end up manifesting haphazardly; either things show up at a very slow pace or we manifest something that we didn’t quite want.

Either way, the magic lies within your ability to slow down in order to become open to receiving what it is that you desire.

New year's resolutions are false promises (most of the time). I know because I used to tell myself that I was going to change my life every new year and then it only stuck for a tiny bit.

The problem is, New Year's Resolutions are far too surface level for real change. It takes depth to experience a new life and it requires you to take a long hard look at how you IDENTIFY YOURSELF as well as how that self-identity is connected to every aspect of your life.

Your identification of yourself is responsible for your health, happiness, love and prosperity. When you directly deal with your identity, you work at a deep energetic level, and when the energy of something shifts, you see the same in your outer life.

This year has been quite a challenge for many people, no doubt about it...and especially for the youth.

Many children have had remote learning, forced to wear masks at school, stay 6 feet away from their friends, and have even been told that socialization is not for school but for social media.

Kids are more isolated than ever before, receiving most of their interaction over video chat, online.

These kids are quite literally experiencing something that none of us have experienced during our childhood, or ever really.

As parents, we have likely asked ourselves the golden question, “What can I do to help my child?”

And that’s a GREAT question because our kids need us more than ever before.

They need to be reminded about love, touch, laughter, real conversation, and human interaction, and most of all they need to feel SAFE.

In this episode, I will share some parenting advice for those who are struggling during the pandemic. As a mother of 3, I know how challenging this all has been but luckily I have found ways to embrace the challenge and squeeze the gifts that have come out of this adversity.

Please know that you don’t have to feel powerless, defeated, or overly stressed anymore, there are ways to work around this and you too can use these times as the catalyst to deepen your relationships and help your kids reach success in ways that you may never have thought of before.

If overcoming a 15-year addiction taught me anything it was that if we resist our dharma it will create suffering and perpetuate a life cyle that’s anything but enjoyable.

So often we are running from the very things that will help us become free. When we incarnarted into this life, we made soul contracted agreements that we would learn and experience certain things in order to grow and expand.

Those challenging people and moments in life serve a higher purpose. They are here to help us live out our dharma and when we learn how to live aligned with our dharma, we see things from a new perspective and learn how to enjoy life for life itself.

We stop seeing things in good or bad and instead we accept the journey that is being bestowed upon us.

Life is full of gifts and some of the most treasured gifts of all come from the darkness, from our challenges and our dharma is sure to bring us every encounter and experience that we need in order to see and embrace those gifts.

The other day someone asked me how is it that I am always so positive. First, I am not ALWAYS positive, this is humanly impossible. But what I can say is that I know I get to determine the way I want to perceive the world around me. My attitude is my responsibility only and part of becoming a sovereign being requires me to embody this truth.

There’s also some very ground level things that need to be in place for anyone to have a positive attitude in the first place. Things like self-care, tending to your nervous system, working with your trauma, mindset, and facing those things that we’d like to run away from.

But at the end of the day, it’s always a choice.

This week's episode came from a question that was asked on Facebook (thank you by the way) ;)

So how do our emotions affect our habits and how do we “detach” from the emotion that is driving these habits in the first place?

We first need to understand what emotions are behind the habits so that we know what to look for. When we can change our response to the emotion we change the way we engage with our habits, thus we change our experience.

And in order to change your habits for the better, it will be extremely helpful to take part in an emotional detox. During an emotional detox, you will be focusing on activities that create less dopamine and more serotonin.

Dopamine is the chemical response that is responsible for keeping us feeling unfilled as it is highly correlated with instant gratification. Whereas serotonin is the chemical that creates long term fulfillment and does not come from instant gratification.

The more you are able to 1. Catch the emotion that is fueling your habits and 2. Engage in behaviors that help you break those habits (ie- creating more serotonin) the more you will have mastery over yourself which always has amazing rewards and benefits.
