How to guide on full disassembly of W541 / W540 Thinkpad models. We finish with removing the motherboard from the frame. Both W540 and W541 are extremely similar, making this video process compatible for both Lenovo Thinkpad models. We will use as few tools as possible, and least possible damage as our goal today.

That's it - new soldering equipment time in my lab! My previous station (Solomon SL20) served me well for 15 years if not more, but I grew more and more impatient with having to wait until it heats up, and I work with SMT electronics pretty often, so I needed a modern iron for precise tips and a hot air station. Will this one deliver? Sure so!

The intro was recorded later on after I found out I lost audio on a good part of the footage. Had this issue once before, got no idea why it's the case. Still gotta pin that pesky little bugger down... Anyway, I had some time to work with the new station, both hot air and iron, and am really satisfied with it.
