  • 36.0 Echos / Echo #6 - Hail Thunderstorm

This echo was recorded from my apartment on my Zoom H5 with Rode NTG1 shotgun mic on May 17, 2021, edited today.

All hail broke loose before a rare thunderstorm (we don't get many of those here).
I must say I really love this one, which is why I decided to cheat and make it much longer than my usual 36". And I really like the effect the gust of winds made towards the end. Because of the DeadCat, it's muffled, but it makes it sound like a heartbeat, echoing the rolling of thunder in the distance. And it gives a bit of a creepy, end-of-the-world kinda vibe.
