Content Warning: Suicidal Ideation, PTSD, Violence, Assault

This discussion is about some of the lyrics in songs that mean a lot to me. Songs by Within Temptation, Kobra & The Lotus, and Delain.

I'm at the beach in Santa Cruz and I'm talking from my journal. It's about a video I saw from a suicide's spouse (the survivor).

Plus you can enjoy some stills I shot near there 😉

Haha, I look like a reporter on the beach beat 😃

I got what may have been a real call (probably not) from Homeland Security on my work phone. I talk about how concerning this is

One of the things I'm learning is to make a video (audio ??) recording of when I'm in a dark place, or completely frustrated

The idea is to view this later and listen to what you are saying and use the techniques we are learning in our PTSD PHP sessions to get to the facts of the thing that was bothering us/me

I like to 'review' videos of many artists that deal with #mentalhealth and how some of the verses or lines resonate with me and my #ptsd #cptsd

I had the pleasure of talking to REL a long time ago when they performed at the Warped Tour at Blossom Music Center near Akron/Cleveland and even got a couple of decent shots

I talk about how this song related to me, one bad night in October. I think artists articulate the emotions I went through that night much better than I ever can. I'm not that good with words! #mentalhealth #ptsd #cptsd
