Before we get into the actual football, we're talking why everyone is in such a rush to restrict the money players can earn just days after “The House” settlement, getting ready for the most interesting season in UNC football history with Money Making Bill, why we absolutely don't need a fourth place Big Ten team anywhere near a 12 or 16-team playoff, and where the business of college football truly threatens the on-field product. The College Football offseason is upon us so to start this week, we shift our focus to the pro ranks. Talking Pete Carroll coming to Vegas, whether the NFL has a coaching development problem, how bad things have gotten in New Orleans when the Jets are the more coveted job, then for the college ball, Carson Beck going to Miami, is there any chance Nicco Iamaleava plans to leave Tennessee, Oklahoma, USC, and some other blue bloods flirting with fading into mediocrity, then to end, we go back to the NFL in a nod to Jayden Daniels, we rank the top-10 rookie QB seasons of all time. The 2024-25 College Football season is in the books! Congratulations are in order to Kirk Herbstreet (and I guess Ryan Day) and the Ohio State Buckeyes for winning the 2025 National Title! First, we're talking the NFL Divisional Round where the Chiefs have broken all of you, Jayden Daniels is the best rookie QB ever, Saquon puts himself on the Mt. Rushmore of Philly athletes, and Buffalo out physicals a team who most identifies with physicality. Then to wrap up the college season (starting at about 1:30:00 in) we break down the Natty, give proper praise to the best ND season in decades, tell you why Ryan Day should retire, and all praises due to Will Howard; the hero Ohio State didn't know they needed but absolutely deserved. The CFP final four is in the books and our national title game is set! We're talking a continuing troubling trend in the NFL as Antonio Pierce is fired (what else is new NFL), then for the college football breaking down why ya'll are going too hard on James Franklin this time, giving Marcus Freemen his credit (and not just for being good looking), Ohio State's defensive line winning the game (again!), the future being bright at Texas, what will it take for a non “blue-blood” to play for a national title, and why we aren't closing the door on Dieon to the NFL. The second round of the CFP and all other bowl games are in the books! First we're talking the NFL's Black Monday (oh the irony of that title) as Jerod Mayo is fired after just one season in New England, our take on the NFL MVP race, then for the college ball we're talking the four playoff games, one of which was awesome (thank you ASU), Penn State on the doorstep of a National Title appearance, can anything stop OSU (specifically Texas), Marcus Freeman out coaching Kirby Smart, does Oregon have a larger problem, are we sure the SEC is that much better than everyone else, a bit of transfer news, and finally we wrap on some of the other bowl results of note as the season draws closer and closer to it's conclusion.
