Space Cats Peace Turtles

We've got another batch of Arcs Leaders to overview for you today! We're gearing up to finish our Base Game Arcs coverage before we go full hog wild into the campaign Arcs. Prepare for that content to become the mainstay to go along with our traditional Twilight Imperium coverage. Also this episode features a guest appearance from Arcs developer Joshua Yearsley! We let a developer write a strategy guide FOR THEIR OWN GAME, WE'RE THAT CRAZY.

Finally the most important episode of the year! Today we're talking about the cats we are named after. We love these poster children of the Twilight Imperium brand and we want you to care about them too. Grab a bag of a money and sit down for this big one!

It's another Arcs episode! Hunter is out this week so we've gone a bit lighter and just have two guides brought to you by Matt and EJ. Don't worry, it's not like we don't have an hour and a half worth of stuff to talk about even though it's only four sentences worth of text to evaluate...

This week we're back in the shadows, we have your guide for the Yssaril Tribes! This tricky faction is full o' surprises. Don't turn your back on these guys! Also this episode is kinda grumpy and we apologize for that we were feelin' spicy.

You asked and we're here to provide! For months Dane has been leaving a trail of bread crumbs. And recently that trail led to some substantial components! The Galactic Council has asked us to talk about what seems to be brewing in Dane's Workshop. Here's the thing...it's not actually very much so get ready for us to make a lot out of very little....

Hunter's out on tour this week which means Matt needed a new friend! Good for him he works with some pretty cool folks, including Nick Brachmann! Nick is a Senior Developer at Leder Games and is responsible for the upcoming Ahoy: New Horizons expansion. It more than doubles what is possible in Ahoy and Matt has been playing a lot of it recently. Let's talk game development, creativity, and fostering strategic depth! Also MAPS.

It's a Muaat Guide! Embers of Muaat is one of those factions that some people in the community insist is "actually really good." I haven't been convinced, but they do have tools that can FEEL good if everything else went right. What does it take to get this faction from their bad start and to a game that feels good?

More Arcs! And this time, we've got Hunter around. He's been thinking about the Overseer for months now and is ready to get it all off of his chest. Meanwhile, EJ and Matt are back, this time with the Upstart and Rebel. It's a mix of Leaders that all seem to want to strike very early in different ways which honestly made it incredibly difficult to play them against each other so many times! Some games of Arcs are all about chapter 5 and it turns our some games the whole game gets played in the first two chapters and the rest of the time you're just living with your mistakes...

Here begins a series of SCPT episodes that will absolutely get to the deep dark depths of strategy you've been waiting for. The show really begins here, everything else has just been a precursor. He who controls the direct hit, controls the universe!

Sit your butts down and get ready to be schooled in the classroom by your god-tier Winnu player: THE MATT MARTENS. Jk Winnu is bad and we'll cover in depth the why and the how. There is a lot of useful information here for those of you that feel the determination to pilot them regardless of their ineptitude. It's one of our shorter super guides but it also makes a strong case so I hope you enjoy it!
