Space Cats Peace Turtles

We're continuing our investigation of the Vuil'raith Cabal, and today seemed like a good chance to do a progress report. We come to you not with highly analyzed takeaways, but instead a handful of notes and anecdotes that we're gradually using to build a case for Cabal. Think of this like us "showing our work" when it comes to experimenting with factions.

Wowee, what a treat. Our dearest friend and board game designer Dane is here to present the upcoming release of Codex 3: Vigil! There's a slew of new things packed in it, most notably an ENTIRE NEW FACTION. We cover it all in some broad strokes, and reveal a few specific components. This is slated to drop later in April, which we had too much fun while recording to remember to mention. GET HYPE!

This is a Galactic Council episode. I repeat, this is a Galactic Council episode. There are many, many places out there where you can get this kind of content, but today you're stuck with these two idiots. I would say that no one asked for this, but turns out a sizable enough percentage of patrons did, so here we are. Here's some top 10 lists from two guys who have not played nearly enough board games for you to take their opinions very seriously.

Are you a new or experience player trying to find a new group to play with? Or are you scheduling a game and decided to invite a new friend to join your typical group? Maybe you're looking to play online for the first time casually or in a tournament. Well we hope this episode can be a resource for you. In it we discuss what it's like to join a game with strangers and how to navigate the tricky social balances of Twilight Imperium. The Superbowl of Board Games is a pretty wild way to meet someone, and we think it's helpful if you go in with the right expectations.

Enter "Season....3? 4. 3?" It's a new arc of the show where we, you guessed it, dive deep into the board game Twilight Imperium. How deep? Well now we plan to do cover a single faction over the course of numerous weeks. We don't anticipate every faction getting the same structure, but we're starting with Vuil'raith Cabal and they're in a bit of a rough position currently. So, to begin their journey, we decided we'd need to throw the playbook out and theorycraft new and crazy idea. Join us, won't you?
