This coming weekend will conclude the massive 2022 Patreon Tournament Qualifiers. 480 players have competed in 80 games and now those winners will match up against our 136 players who received a bye into the Prelims. The Galactic Council chose the right option this month! The Qualifiers have been raging in the background and we haven't done any sort of overview of how it's been going. This is our 17th base game faction to update for Prophecy of Kings and our 24th faction to cover since the release. Which means we've DONE IT. We're almost done with this phase of strategy guides and as we wrap up we though it'd be fun to take the temperature of something we've been thinking a lot about. Prophecy of Kings added a lot of things that made people excited for War Suns again, the question is if it actually fulfilled the promise. So today, we're going to explore the viability of War Suns for all 24 factions!

We're tackling some bottom tier factions today, which means it's time to let loose a little and have fun. We're nearing the end of our preliminary guides and today we get to NOT talk about blue tech! Jol-Nar is regarded as one of the higher tier factions, depending on who you ask, and it's primarily due to their monumental amount of flexibility when it comes to tech and defenses. Mentak are seemingly the opposite when it comes to flexibility; these days it's Mirror Computing or bust!

IT'S A NEW YEAR which means it's time for a new Faction Tier list. This is our annual tradition around here to redefine how we perceive the meta going into the new tournament. Last year's list was a bit of a goof considering how much we knew we didn't know about the game. But we've learned a lot since then, so we can definitely say this one is DEFINITIVE.
