Our own Christian morality is being used against us in a genius ploy to oppress Christians. And it's working.

Divine Simplicity is a doctrine of God that's been turned into a Frankenstein's monster of theology stitched together with pagan philosophy and forced back into the Bible. There is a Biblical version of the doctrine, and here I'm seeking to correct my previously held beliefs about it, as well as explain two issues with the view I previously held: how it leads to inconsistencies with the rest of our theology, and how the incorrect version of Divine Simplicity's true source is not from Scripture.

Every time there's a national tragedy like the one that happened in Nashville, the things that evangelical elites and pastors choose to say and choose to stay silent about on the following Sundays reveal more of their true values.

In this episode I discuss the difference between evidentialism, which I wholeheartedly embraced when I was younger, and presuppositional appologetics, which I'm coming to love in recent years.
These two options aren't only arbitrary approaches to apologetics, but reveal deeper theological truths. Does evidence prove God? Or do we all have an innate knowledge of God like Scripture says? In reality, a consistent Christian must be presuppositional, and we can do this while still studying the evidence that exists for various theological truths.

No other story that has come out of the Southern Baptist Convention has done more damage to its credibility and expose all of the horrible corruption in it's highest levels. Get ready to hear about Bruce Ashford, the horrible things he was guilty of, and even worse, how SBC leaders knowingly covered it up.

In exegetical expository preaching, or preaching from the text to explain the meaning of the text, there are two main views on application. One view is that we should stick only to what the text says and avoid application. The other view is that we should feel free to carry the text to new places and apply it to the lives of the congregation. There are risks in both positions, but does the Bible offer any guidance on which preaching style is best? Absolutely it does. We explore it in this episode.

A certain view of speaking in tongues is tightly knit together with the charismatic movement that's been influencing popular Christian culture in America for generations now. In this episode I break down one of the most popular "proof" texts for speaking in tongues and what it really means if we look at it through fresh eyes.

There's an interesting connection between the direction secularists expect the world to go, and the direction many Christians expect the world to go, and it's not good. Literally. Let's compare this to a more hopeful, and hopefully Biblical, view of the direction the world is going, the end times, and eschatology.
