John Darling ~ Since May of 1976, John has written and published many short stories, poems, and magazine articles. His lone play, Stage Directions, has been produced in the United States, Canada, and most recently at the Soho Theatre in London, England on October 3, 2012. Most of his publications have been short stories and articles, though he has had some poetry in print. Many of his short fiction stories have been collected in two books.
On Borrowed Time contains eleven different mysteries revolving around his anti-hero, Detective Anderson and his colleagues. The Angel and The Bear is an eclectic collection of mixed genres from hard edged science fiction in Saving Abraham to romance in The Right Note to YA literature in Jennifer Rising.
You’re the Who?: A guide to classic band name origins + rock connections!, is a collection of short articles which tell how rock bands and singers chose their stage names while also showing Rock Connections between performers. He also co-authored a cookbook with his late grandmother, Loretta Duffy. Grandma’s Favorite Recipes is a cookbook made up of his late grandmother’s favorite recipes which she hand wrote over the course of 70 years.

What book have you gifted the most?
That is easy: The Last Juror by John Grisham which I can get for $2 a copy, often brand new, from a local library volunteer gift store. So far I have given away 27 copies and I still have a few more in my stock. Why? Simply because it is the best book I have ever read. It has so many layers to it, so many stories interwoven, and so many emotions from laughter to tears in it.
What is the one productivity tool you use every day?
I wish I could say that I write every day like I used to but I don’t, however when I do write it is usually a cathartic event; I have words and ideas that I have been collecting while NOT writing and they just have to come out.

Dogs, all dogs. I can be friendly or fierce depending on your attitude.

Intelligent (don’t ask me why)

The thought that all that mankind has worked for over the centuries could be destroyed by the act on ONE single human. That is not right.

Get married. I like the bride I have had for 37 years. No need to change now.
