  • Episode 53 -- Fail Blazing

Tre Blanco subs in for Austin Brezina as the fellas discuss the fallout with the Portland Trailblazers hiring former Detroit Pistons star Chauncey Billups as head coach following the resurfacing of the rape allegations against him from 1997. They also briefly touch on Bill Cosby's release, and finally some long-overdue criticism of the Academy Awards and the Olympics during "Is This Your King?"

  • H is for Hell: 4th In The July Machine

Quite a bit of Clint Capela talk on this fourth of July weekend episode. Plus former Houston Rockets forward Giannis Antetokounmpo gets a good amount of talk due to his injury affecting the NBA playoffs. Oh wait, he's not a former Rocket....hmmmmm....

Zip also talks about the Stros fortunes changing over the summer and taking the AL West lead and then plugs himself shamelessly. We support shameless self-promotion. Support Zip!

  • Episode 52 -- Out and About in the Sports World

The gang minus Austin talks about a range of LGBTQ+ milestones over the last week including Carl Nassib in football, Laurel Hubbard in weightlifting and Layshia Clarendon in the WNBA before holding a special retirement ceremony for Ted Cruz.

  • H is for Hell: Second in the Draft Machine

Zip discusses the Houston Rockets being so bad at basketball only to end up with pick number two and yet he seems happy about the results because it wasn't a total disaster. Then he moves onto the hottest team in baseball, the Houston Astros, finally taking control of the AL West and the continued enforcement of MLB's new checks on pitches using illegal substances on the mound.

If you're wondering what Winnie the Pooh has to do with this episode, definitely listen.

Oh and he talks about the NBA playoffs again this time without lying and saying it has a Houston tie.

  • H is for Hell: Joe in the Buck Machine (recorded 6-18)

In the first of our Friday double-header (completely D.R's fault that an episode didn't get uploaded), Zip talks about the Astros hot bats, injuries, and bullpen issues and then he briefly touches MLB's latest scandal with the retraction of a story claiming multiple big-market baseball teams cheated. After that, he starts a feud with Joe Buck and immediately praises him afterward for his work on Brockmire.

Finally, he closes with baseball's other issue with enforcing their foreign substance policy against pitchers and former Houston players in the NBA playoffs which was really just a cover to talk about the NBA Playoffs despite the Houston Rockets not being in it.

  • H is for Hell: Hakeem in the Dream Machine

After correcting the correction and complaining about the heat in Houston (apparently, the H really does stand or hell), Zip traverses through a hodge-podge of NBA topics including Hakeem Olujawon's forming the first super team, LeBron's number change and longevity before touching back on the DeShaun Watson sexual misconduct allegations, the Texans canceling mandatory minicamp and the Texans sixth-round pick getting some ominous shine.

Finally, Zip ends by talking MLB's decision to start enforcing its foreign substance rules and former Astros pitcher Gerrit Cole choking under the pressure of being asked about it.

  • Episode 51 -- Leave the Athletes Alone

    ft Julien Owens

Minus Daniel Davidson and Austin Brezina, the guys discuss what right the fans and media have to professional athletes' time, energy and effort, the state of sports journalism, and NBA crowds getting out of control in the first round on multiple occasions. Then, they switch it up during "Is This Your King" on Kat Williams.

  • H is for Hell: Nothing in the Houston Machine

Just because something is a dumpster fire doesn't mean it's always exciting. Despite the nothingness happening in Houston sports at the moment, Zip cobles together an intriguing episode centered around animal videos and explaining his podcast's own theme song. Quacks in the Zip machine!!!!
