Goodnight Ranch - Goodnight, Texas
Charles Goodnight is the iconic cattleman, who, along with his close friend, Oliver Loving, virtually invented the cattle industry. Goodnight also invented the “chuck wagon.” The Lonesome Dove story was loosely based on the exploits of both of these pioneers. Charles Goodnight was a colorful and inventive man who lived in a home in the Texas Panhandle that he built with his wife. Join us as we knock around the ranch and his home.
