Good evening Spectre fans. George here, your Keeper of Arcaine Law.

As you can probably tell we've been on a little break recently. This will be the case for a little while longer while things in the background, notiably being an adult, settle down and get

back to more easy and gentle pace.

So I have something a little different for you.

Tonight I will be reading a very short story I wrote last year around October, after a friend challenged me. Now by short I mean I wrote it in about 5 minutes but I still think it's worth

sharing. Most of my writing is heavily inspired by writters like M R James, E F Benson and the like. I like my stories to be "scary" but for the horror to be something more than physical

gore.

I hope this comes across in this evenings tale, a story I call The Visitor on the Train....

Coming up with stories and characters has always been a passion of mine but for one reason or another I've rarely done anything with tales I have created.

After awakening to a horrific scream, the Chateau Estrange investigators headed out into the night to find the source however the night was still, all except a startled Hubert.

Well our mini project comes to an exciting end with the lovely chaps over at Snyder's Return!

Last time 5 new investigators stepped off a boat onto an island off the coast of France.

Their job is to assess the condition of Chateau Ētrange, the home of now deceased magician and occultist Henri Cabanal, and carry out any repairs required before the Chateau is auctioned off.

The island itself has been abandoned for a few weeks after all the remaining staff fled and or disappeared.

Signs at the dock show a possible violent escape, and other clues hint towards a far darker situation than our investigators were expecting.

Now alone on this mysterious island, our investigators head towards the Chateau sitting in a clearing surrounded by dense woodland...
