2021 NHRA Funny Car Champion Ron Capps might well be considered the fourth Freak. His first appearance in The Freak Nation came before the radio show was launched. The title, however, came at the last minute this weekend. Capps lost early in the Sunday eliminations and had to pace nervously until teammate Matt Hagen lost delivering the championship to Ron. He came back from oblivion in the final 50 laps of the race thanks for a storm of a pitstop, the second fastest stop of the team's season.
