This week, Nikki and Chad recap their quick trip to Boise, ID, where they rode their bikes into a fire, ran some fun trails, ate the best English muffin in the world, and watched cars race while towing boats. They then discuss local beltline fare, becoming a "neighborhood friendly joint," how NOT to serve shrimp cocktail, and why Florida Man is actually evacuating this time!
This one-on-one finds us on a birthday, so Nikki and Chad chat about not feeling your age and what factors contribute to being 49 but feeling 29. They also talk about the Six Gap Century event, the running explosion, Strava’s newly released data, why group runs are more inviting than group rides, what employers can do to capitalize on running’s popularity, and how Nikki runs in the wilderness with nothing but bear spray and Ronnie Milsap to keep her company. They also give a special shout-out to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, who successfully moved into their new Arthur M. Blank Hospital over the weekend.
After a rare week off, Nikki and Chad catch up in this week's one-on-one. They chat about the Atlanta U-turn epidemic, Tallahassee healthcare, their +SpeedClub Rendezvous event at Pendolino, how Old Fourth Ward is changing, Diddy week, Nike’s inevitable leadership change, and Amazon RTO five days a week. Nikki somehow thinks about communication strategy while watching Sex and The City, and they chat about how it's hard being a leader when you don’t want to talk to people.
In this week's episode, we talk about being too tired to picnic, fall is here, underconsumption-core is back, T-Swift and Travis aren't over, $100 chicken tendies, old movies, new movies and a different perspective on employee health benefits, just in time for open enrollment.
This one-on-one episode finds Nikki and Chad working on Labor Day in order to provide insights into why we celebrate this holiday. They go deep on worker rights, maypoles, the May Day king, whether you should wear white, how budget season works at big companies, and what you should consider if you work from home. They also explore the Oasis comeback and John Mayer’s Wonderwall.
This week, Nikki and Chad check in with their long-awaited and eagerly anticipated report from the SBT GRVL race. They go deep on the festivities, reception of the new course, finding new ways to break your bike, parking enforcement in Idaho Springs, how traveling with bikes is a challenge most are not up for, and Michael Garrison igniting the crowd at the Hill Climb. Nikki also reports on a next-level mansplane session from a random observer. Lastly, they touch on college football season starting again.
This week’s one-on-one finds Nikki in Nashville and Chad in Atlanta. They recap their visit to Tampa – possibly the most humid place on earth, how some people don’t need to sleep, Nikki’s recent impression on what is happening in Nashville (it’s not good), how the Paris Olympics were a true milestone, and what they have planned for the upcoming SBT GRVL race.
This week’s one-on-one with Nikki and Chad goes deep on the topic that has everyone’s attention these days – the Paris Olympics. They chat about only the most important zeitgeist topics: how Peacock lets you watch EVERYTHING (if you want), which sports should not be in the games at all, how skateboarding and surfing seem less cool, Kristen Faulkner’s shocking road race victory, which uniforms look best and how it’s just baffling that track participants ignore aerodynamics.
A special Olympic edition with our friend Lara, who is competing in the Mixed Dinghy (470) events August 2-9. We chat with Lara about living in Miami (of course), what it takes to train for her event, who are sailing fans, the deal with professional sailing, the overwhelming food choices in the Olympic Village, brushing shoulders with super-humans and the all-important “race before the race.” Chad and Lara nerd out over Vuarnet optics and Nikki thinks “Mixed Dignhy” would be great on branded merch. Be sure to give Lara a follow (@ldallman) and cheer her on starting August 2nd!

This week’s one-on-one has a new feature: professional cyclist Michale Garrison joins us in the studio. We chat about our recent event, 129 on 29, and whether we should rethink how we organize cycling events. We also tackle the latest controversy regarding safety in gravel cycling, the Tour de France controversy of domination, and whether Nike has lost its way when it comes to brand. Lastly, we consider what a Gen Z athlete has on his Spotify playlists.
