Let's fight a 'flayer! In this episode, the party concludes their fight with the Mindflayer that has claimed Kindhir for themselves. However, with strange magical devices and unknown monster abilities ahead, that seems easier said than done. After some heavy hits on all sides, the combat ends up taking an unexpected turn, leading to Oddyn making hard decisions. After getting some new lore and information from each of the PCs, the group is left with three final tasks: finish the job, take what they need, and leave Kindhir.

It's time to throw some punches! As the mindflayer has met the gaze of Id and Oddyn, it seems words will not be enough to resolve this particular conflict. With the party still split and combat on the horizon, our disjointed party must learn to come together to defeat a greater evil.

Apparently our party cannot follow the most simple rule of dnd: never split the party. Following the aftermath of what went down at the church, our party splits into two teams (yet again) in order to gain more information about the mindflayer controlling the city proper. With not much to go off of, Id and Oddyn find themselves repelling down a well. Meanwhile, Melwyn and Myla start trying to follow the former pair's path, catching wind that they might be in danger. Packed with new discoveries and daring adventure, follow the crew as they delve into the heart of the city.

We pick up right where we left off: with our group of troublemakers infiltrating a chapel and gaining more information on the mindflayer at large. With not much to go off of, the newest party members have to make a decision: should they stick around and hear what this preacher wishes to enlighten them on, or do they resist and return to their new friends? Meanwhile, Myla and Id do what they can to gather information. Trying to assist their new pals, the pair take to the library and streets to gain a firmer understanding on the arcana around them. Join the crew as they get their bearings and head towards a dastardly horizon!

As the party continues their time through the festival (or rather away from it), Id and Melwyn are given the chance to get to know each other a little more. After some banter and back and forth, the pair noticce some strange happenings and reunite with Oddyn and Myla. It seems the town has been shrouded in this grey form of arcana, and the only people not effected are our recent arrivals into the city. With not much to go off of but a single lead from a barkeep, the group continues their search and tries to get to the bottom of these strange happenings.

Don't worry, it's still the day of the festival, but the party decided not to take advantage of the time and instead kidnap a few suspicious people. Melwyn, on the other hand, looks for a way to placate their patron through cheating at a card game, leaving Jared in another losing pickle. Id has a strong conversation with Oddyn about morals and Myla has little remorse for what she chose to do. While the prisoners act oddly quiet and unfazed, Id finds Melwyn and the two find a quiet place to be. Meanwhile, it becomes more and more obvious that someone doesn't want Myla or Oddyn looking for info.

As a new day dawns, it's time for a festival! Nothing can go wrong, right? That is, until you add our party into the mix. Still on the search for answers, the party attends the day's festivities with the intention of experiencing new things and locating new targets. However, some words said give Myla and Oddyn a cause for suspision. Chaos ensues and the party's objectives are once again split as they each do what they set out to.

Continuing their decompression from the day's earlier events, the party settles in for the night and gets to know each other. Upon their "bonding" and "comradery", it is brought to their attention that a festival is on the horizon! A time of games and community to celebrate autumn's retirement and winter's commencement, our adventurers start looking ahead to where their paths may lead them. They ponder this idea, asking themselves if they are willing to part ways with each other yet. (also, they finally get paper)

The all investigate the abandoned house of a noble in Kindhir and find a few tacks but one well-used one. Once they discover where the tracks lead, Id and Myla fall for an illusions tricks while Oddyn and Melwyn try to figure out a way to snap them out of it. They must continue on with the search for whomever may have ahd the power to make Melwyn's kidnappers invisible.
