Spice Makes Us Talk

Screaming. Crying. Calling my therapist. In this weeks episode we each talk about books we cannot recommend to the other. We fell down the dark romance rabbit hole and we haven't been the same since. Whether or not dark romance is your thing, we hope you enjoy this weeks episode because we definitely learned a lot about ourselves while making it. Now on to more sunny pastures!

Does your friend ever tell you to read a book but it takes you months to finally do it? Same! This week we are discussing Mile High and The Right Move by Liz Tomforde. We have some fun with a bookish quiz, try and pretend like we are sports experts and gush about some of our favourite books that we regret not reading sooner!

We're melting! Melting! Because this book is spicy! This week we are discussing Wretched by Emily McIntire, a fracture fairytale take on The Wizard of Oz. It's a little darker than some of our previous reads but we are into it. Be careful because you don't know where the yellow brick road may lead you...

Somebody once told us that Shrek is the perfect book boyfriend and we would have to agree. Get comfy while we discuss Get In My Swamp and Stay In My Swamp by G.M. Fairy. We even got to ask the author herself some questions about her inspiration and fave moments in the book. We hope you listen and prepare to fall accidentally in love. 

This weeks episode is CHAOTIC. Your girls took a road trip to the Calgary Stampede to embrace our cowgirl summer. Unfortunately, the podcast we tried to record en route didn't work out so we are trying again! We don't have a specific book to discuss this week but we play a couple bookish quizzes, chronicle our stampede adventures and discuss some books that we hope to read next. We hope you tune in to find out what unique souvenirs we each took home from the Stampede!

It's finally happening! Amy read her first fantasy book and Steph didn't even have to force her. This week we are discussing Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. So come with us to explore the world of dragons, battles and Steph's fave, enemies to lovers.
