End of the month? New episode of Spin Doctors. We'll be getting more frequent again soon, so thanks for bearing with us during these last few monthly eps. We got a unique one for you this month, folks. Previous guest Corey Jernigan steps in for Nick as co-host and he brought a guest along with him. Comedian, poker player, and former Converse spokesperson Matty Goldberg joins us and we DON'T talk about him working with Dwayne Wade, sorry. We DO talk about the 1987 album from The Replacements, "Pleased to Meet Me" and how it connected Matty and his daddy and inspired literally every other piece of music in the process. And what would an episode of Spin Doctors be without plenty of tangents into things like The Great Corey and Rick Road Trip, the ethics of afterlife servitude, and the questionable popularity of GG Allin. The audio isn't quiiiiiiite as good as usual, but this episode is still super fun, so stick around!

We're going the distance, folks. This episode has a short skirt and a long jacket and a whoooooole bakery back there, because this week we out here double-cheeked up with some CAKE. Spoiler alert, that's not the type of cake they're named after. Michael Zalusky is back to help handle hosting duties, and we have producer, rapper, podcaster, and jack-of-several-trades Awesome Ty on the show to help us explore the album Prolonging the Magic. I won't prolong this description, but know that we cover such topics as: dogs with buttons, what is art?, and the meaning of dude ranch, all in less than 2 hours!

We have a super special episode for you this time, folks. Nick is out of town and instead of going it solo again, Rick invited a co-host: friend of the show and past guest Michael Zalusky! It's a reunion of the Avast! Ye Scoundrel hosts and so of course it immediately goes off the rails. We have comedian and podcaster Rivers Langley on the show discussing the weirdest album we've ever done: Ween's Chocolate and Cheese. We go deep in on this one, people, but we still make time for brand new segments Tomato Talk, Mushroom Moment, and Hooray for Hollywood, and to discuss the Chef Aid South Park album. Strap in for this one!

Awaken, my listeners! We're back with another installment of Spin Doctors (which I promise will start being more regular again soon) with a guest we've been wanting for a while, the incomparable SLOcal comedian Kelsie Rae! On this episode we answer the hard hitting questions like: which is the silliest animal? Did Kelsie have the best band name of all time? What memories does Pokemon GO unlock? Join us, won't you, as we ponder these questions and more on our exploration of Childish Gambino's third album, "Awaken, My Love!" And if you know Childish Gambino, then you KNOW we did the name generator. Bonus: listen towards the end of the episode for when Rick's allergies really kick in!

BING BONG! Spin ya life! Hi everyone, and welcome to the newest episode of Spin Doctors. Come on in and make yourself comfortable and warm, cause it's about to get rainy. We have a first for this episode, as our guest, the hilarious Jacob Blaeser, chose an album we've already done! So we made him change it. Look, I don't make the rules. Well, I do, but still. I'm glad we changed it, because this album ROCKS. Pearl Jam's seminal (haha) album, Ten, is a cornerstone of rock and roll history, and we have a blast going through it. From the Big Game halftime show, to how glue is made, to the science behind pop music, this episode has it all! #CatchMeJoking

Ok, cards on the table, this one was recorded WAY after the last episode, but Rick had COVID and there's a lot going on. Either way, we're back with a very special part 2 of our countdown of Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 20 Songs of All Time. We're really gettin' into our stride on this one, with plenty of bird and hair talk, which we know is why you listen. These top 10 songs are undeniably great, but are they the greatest of all time? Only a thorough investigation by the Spin Daddies can tell, on this week's thrilling finale! Bang! Zow! Zot!

I....AM....SPIN DOCTORRRRRR. Get it? Like the song from the album we're doing this week? One of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time, Black Sabbath's Paranoid paved the way for hundreds of long-haired, pentagram wearing, devil-horn throwing, angsty teenagers to piss their parents off. And who better to join us on this journey to the dark side than our good friend, comedian Bob Powers. Bob helps walk us through our most familiar album yet, and Rick gets steadily drunker throughout the recording, see if you can tell! And of course it's becoming the holiday season, so we talk Christmas, the rise and fall of fax machines (which we definitely confused with copiers, oops), which lamp is best to be beaten to death with, and we figure out what makes a good cover song. Yay holidays!

Don't WORRY. We're back! And we have another fantastic episode for you, we didn't want to make you WORRY. The doctors are in as we take a clinical look at the album of the week, Jeff Rosenstock's WORRY. We are joined by extra funny boy Mike Wooten, and really reminisce hard about the 90s. This album is great, this episode is great, Mike is great, we're great, and don't WORRY., you're great too. We're talkin' soaps, the educational hurdles of being emo, fashion, and a whole lot more on this brand spankin' new episode of Spin Doctors!

Well, well, well. Look who it is. The listener. We've been expecting you. We have a great episode for you this week, as our buddy and fellow podcaster Michael Booth stops by and we get completely friggin silly. From Olympic board games to Hot Rod quotes, Bocce ball to the best ways to die, this one's got it all, folks. Plus, as always, an album! And this week's album is Real Talk, the debut record from pop punk band Man Overboard. This was the last episode recorded before the mini hiatus in October and it was a real goofy one, but also very heartfelt, so please enjoy it and share it with your friends, THANKSSSSS!
