Becky Bishop and her lovable mastiff, Ditto, sat down with Erica to talk about their heartwarming adventures with the Reading with Rover Program! The program was initiated by Becky to help children improve reading skills and reduce fear of dogs, features Ditto as a calming presence. With Ditto as the ultimate chill buddy, their program has expanded from libraries to schools and even crisis zones, sprinkling comfort and stress relief everywhere!

Becky, an experienced dog trainer, highlights the need for well-trained dogs as the key to their success. Reading with Rover is making waves in the media and is on a growth spurt, with schools lining up to join the fun! Congratulations Sommer & Thomas!

Thomas was nominated by his wife Sommer to fly Home for the Holidays. This is what Sommer shared with us:

I would like to nominate my spouse Thomas so he can go home to see his mom and his grandma. With the Boeing strike, we have not been able to afford anything beyond basic needs, and he rarely gets to have time with his family. My husband works hard overtime when they’re not on strike, and I would like to bless him in that way if possible.

Thomas, we hope your time is truly blessed over Christmas, spending time with your mom and grandma! Merry Christmas!

Lauren from the Tacoma Humane Society discusses the current situation at the shelter, which is housing over 130 dogs on-site and nearly 70 in foster homes. To tackle this furry overflow, they are waiving all dog adoption fees today through Sunday to help these dogs find loving homes that they deserve, and also help create lifesaving space in the shelter for other animals needing support.Lauren shares a tender story on dear Kani, a special needs pooch who scored a loving home thanks to some social media teamwork.
