A couple years ago I had a great conversation with Dr. Kirk Elliot of Sovereign Advisors and Kirk Elliott Precious Metals. You may have seen him around - he's definitely been on the podcast circuit. I was blessed to host him!  His advice still stands today.

BIO:

1) We are products of how we grew up. Even if your past is good or bad you can allow God to turn beauty from ashes when he has control and is your source. Then, by knowing the true one of Love and having that gift of beauty you then can give that back to people.
2) Having hard working parents that were busy working in their business, established in me the ability to build characteristics that included working hard, being nurturing, and being a very protective person. These characteristics showed up in my business work ethics as well.
3) Jesus loved! He loved those around him. He loved those around him. He loved his neighbor, the tax collectors, the prostitute etc. He brought them in and loved them for who they were. He loved and did not condone them or their actions.
4) If you think outside of the box, then you can see how we can do things better, differently, with more impact, and influence.
5) To be successful, requires you to be at the right place at the right time. Then the client can know and understand just why and what you are doing for them and also with them.
6) Being afraid is ok. It lets you know something is wrong. We don’t strengthen  fear by going deeper into it, we face it, so we may become victorious by turning it into faith. When we do this out of desire it becomes life changing.
7) Capacity is not strictly about yourself. We need to be able to handle the wealth God gives you, and also be able to be good stewards with what he has given you.
8) If you focus on people as a transaction, that’s all they will be is a transaction. Spend time with people so that you come into a relationship with them, and they will not be just a transaction and a profit.

1) We can’t just try to fit Godly wisdom into the expansion of our business without a full understanding of what we’re even engaging. Heaven has more armies, more resources, more wealth and more power than anything these kingdom of darkness guys can access, yet somehow we’re at the bottom because we haven’t learned how to step into that, how to leverage that, and how to deploy that.  The time for this to change is NOW!  It’s happening!
2) No matter how much money they print, they never print enough money to pay the debt on the money they print.  It’s a fixed system of usury.
3) The multidimensional nature of spirits and entities: Death is an event, and a person, who is a realm.  Hades, or Hell, is also a place and a person, who is a realm.
4) Our business is a realm of government, and we get an EIN to operate with.. We ourselves are subsidiaries of the corporation of the United States, and we get a SSN that denotes we can now be used as collateral.
5) Trade is transdimensional because other higher beings have great vested interest in what transactions in the earth and involving man produce. Because we are spiritual beings, whatever happens with us simultaneously implicates things in the heavens.
6) The destiny of heaven is nailed to earth through the template of creation.  Then God created man from the dust of the ground, so the destiny of man is tied to earth.  The work of Jesus’ death as a man was so significant that it wrapped up the redemption of man, earth and heaven.  So that was a transdimensional event.
7) God needs people to step up and demonstrate extraordinary results by implementing heavenly wisdom.

“It’s that surprise and delight of texture, color… that makes it prophetic and gives it authority in the spirit realm.”
Art isn’t just about replicating reality—it’s about revealing the unseen. The unexpected elements in a painting carry prophetic weight, shifting atmospheres and releasing spiritual authority.

1. Painting as a Divine Lens
   “My job is to paint how God saw this town… And I don’t know about you, but my God is happy.”

   Transforming cities isn’t just about talking—it’s about taking bold, prophetic action. Whether through prayer walks, declarations, or artistic expressions, small acts of faith can create lasting impact. Creativity and faith collide to bring real transformation. If you’re in the marketplace or the arts, this is your sign to step up, create boldly, and shift culture for God’s Kingdom!
   
   
4. Where You Stand Matters – Geographic Authority
   “Wherever you put the soles of your feet… there’s something to that.”
   Echoing biblical principles, this highlights the power of physical presence in spiritual warfare. Pastors, worship leaders, business owners, and influencers are encouraged to take their authority beyond the pulpit and into the streets where transformation happens.
   
   
5. Excellence in Art Belongs in the Kingdom
   “I’ve basically made a career out of not working for churches… and yet the biggest job I’ve ever done ended up being for a church.”
   The irony? God led him back to the very place he avoided, but with a twist—this time, they honored and compensated his work. His 26,000-square-foot art installation for a children’s ministry proves that the church can be a place for high-level artistry when visionaries value and invest in it.

216: Pt. 2 Art with Kingdom Purpose | Dan Nelson

Part 2 of our 3-part series is a power-packed reminder that every creative expression—from painting to gardening—is a divine tool for influence. Don’t just create—rule with it!  Jesus is building His ecclesia, and marketplace ministry is about more than just showing up—it’s about governing in your sphere of influence. Bring Kingdom order into every room you step into.

This 3-part series with Dan has been one of my favorites for his “WOW” factor!! He has been taking authority from Father’s Kingdom to bring His will on earth as it is in heaven for decades…in a totally unique way.  Dan is the ultimate "Kingdom Renaissance Man." He's a painter, sculptor, musician (playing 52 instruments!), and prophet—all while painting with both hands. Talk about a heavenly level of multitasking!
I’ve met a lot of “prophetic” painters and creatives, but Dan definitely takes the cake! His “ministry” to the capitol city of North Carolina is second to none. You will love this series!  Be sure to check out his websites and YouTube channel to see his art and him in action. It’s fabulous!!


BIO:
“I failed the very first assignment of my academic career…”

On DAY ONE of kindergarten I colored the balloons instead of counting them.The artistic itch was already that strong. Undaunted by such inauspicious beginnings, I went on to win a string of prestigious awards:

• 2nd Place, National Safety Poster Contest!
• 3rd Place, Local Pumpkin Carving Contest!
• 1st Place, Small Town Window Painting Competition (against a bunch of kids roughly half my age, as it turned out.)

Naturally, such accolades kept the itch going, so I went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from a small college in the Midwest. My real education, however, took place during the 15 or 20 years when I sat at my desk 50 or 60 hours a week drawing whatever the telephone (ad agencies, mostly) told me to draw.

Most Americans would have stumbled upon my work at sometime during the 80's or 90's-- in restaurants and sporting goods stores, at summer camps and public libraries, from IBM to hospitals and book covers to billboards. "I'm really famous," I used to tell my kids, "just nobody knows it."

Three forces conspired to make me the artist that I am today:1) The joy of creating,2) Clients with deadlines,3) The threat of starvation.

I now spend most of my time as a “Fine Artist”— which essentially means you don’t get paid for your work. (Until it sells.) I paint cityscapes a lot; I paint my hometown a lot. (Raleigh, North Carolina, USA)  I nearly always paint with an audience, live or on my Youtube Channel. I love painting weddings and fundraising events and engaging with the crowd…they’re just drawn to my show! 

HIGHLIGHTS:

1. Governing Over a City
   Dan isn’t just an artist; he’s spent over 27 years prophetically governing Raleigh, North Carolina, through his gifts. His work isn’t limited to a canvas—it flows into city-wide transformation and speaks into events, lives, and spiritual atmospheres.
2. Breaking Out of Churchianity
   Dan's journey from traditional "churchianity" to a deeper understanding of walking in the Spirit is a game-changer. His realization that pastoring isn't the pinnacle of serving God revolutionized his life and allowed him to embrace his artistic and prophetic calling.
3. Holy Spirit Activation
   "Once I got the memo that God still talked, I said, 'By golly, I'm going to listen.'"  Dan describes his baptism of the Holy Spirit as a life-altering, "violent, bloody, and effective" encounter. He let go of his reliance on intellect and embraced the supernatural, marking a shift into hearing God clearly and journaling divine downloads—literally while running marathons!
4. Theology of Cities
   One of Dan’s revelations is about the spiritual significance of cities. God began speaking to him about the theology of a city and how it ties into biblical principles like the Sermon on the Mount. This insight lays the groundwork for understanding how we can spiritually steward and impact urban environments.
5. Pastor the City, Not Just the Pulpit
   "If you have a heart for your city, get out from behind your pulpit and go to where the heart of the city is." Translation: True transformation happens when spiritual leaders engage directly with their communities and cultural epicenters—think apostolic strategy, not just pastoral care.
6. Run the Streets, Hear the Spirit
   "You learn things on foot... you sense spirits you can't in a car."
   Pro-tip for prophetic creatives: slow down, embrace the physical journey, and let God download revelations about your environment. (Bonus: Roll down the windows for spiritual drive-bys!)
7. Burn the Old to Birth the New
   "Shut down your church and worship Me in the square."
   Sometimes, radical obedience means dismantling old structures to pioneer new ways of bringing heaven to earth. The risk? High. The payoff? Transformative, Holy-Spirit-led movements that redefine "church."
8. Art as a Kingdom Catalyst
   "I built an 8x10-foot canvas on wheels, complete with sound and lights."
   Marketplace ministry isn't just about preaching—it's creating art, tools, and environments that amplify the Kingdom message in creative, unforgettable ways.
9. Holy Ghost Smackdowns Build Legacy
   "We worshiped every Saturday, rain or shine, and the presence of God was so thick we couldn't quit."
   Consistency + obedience = supernatural impact. Whether it's art, business, or ministry, showing up faithfully opens the floodgates for divine encounters and cultural transformation.
10. Breaking Through the Spirit of "No"
    Dan’s journey highlights the power of persistence and divine direction. The "spirit of no" had a stranglehold on the city, but he persisted in faith to reclaim and transform the space. Marketplace ministry takeaway? Be bold and willing to break through opposition, because God’s plans always come with provision and purpose.
11. Sound, Light, and the Supernatural
    Dan’s unique combination of painting, music, and spiritual authority demonstrates how creativity can shift atmospheres. His layering of sound and light—paired with Holy Spirit anointing—shows that the arts are more than just self-expression; they’re tools for transformation in spiritual and physical realms.
12. Prophetic Rebuilding of a City
    The literal tearing down and rebuilding of the city’s center aligns with prophetic dreams Dan received. This is a vivid reminder that God moves in both the seen and unseen, using marketplace leaders and creative visionaries to birth renewal and revival—even in urban planning!
13. Playing for Heaven’s Audience
    "I’m not even playing for you. You keep walking. I’m playing for God, angels, and demons."  Dan’s commitment to play and paint for God, rather than people is a beautiful picture of pure ministry. He wasn’t seeking applause or approval but focused on releasing heaven’s sound and creativity. A powerful example of marketplace ministry done for an eternal purpose, not fleeting recognition.
14. From Street Ministry to Fine Arts Legacy
    Transitioning from a public street setup to becoming a celebrated fine artist shows how God elevates faithfulness. By following divine assignments through different seasons, Dan moved into a place of influence and impact in the fine arts world—demonstrating that marketplace ministry thrives in all industries when led by the Spirit.

Hello there World Changers! We have a really special Christmas treat for you.

This started out as just a meeting with one of our dear clients, Candace Benton. She was sharing how much working with us over this past has made a difference in her life. 

We talk about the miracles God did, and the results of our work in the heavenly realm, including working with angels and other spiritual beings.

I think that you guys will definitely learn something from it. This is an example of how Donna and I work together. So you can see the type of coaching that we do is so different from any other coaching out there. And the results we get are simply amazing!
