Notes on We Need Faith
Faith
- Faith is a theological Virtue that deals directly with God
- Other virtues deal with objects or things.ie: justice
- We must ask for faith.
Types of Faith
- Dead Faith
- We don't have sanctifying grace
- Mortal Sin
- Living Faith
- We have sanctifying grace
- Living a sacramental life: Mass, confession are key to keep our faith living in us
- We need to practice the Virtue of Faith
- We ask God for more faith when we are struggling with something like sickness, broken relationships, doubt, temptations
- Faith comes by hearing the Truth
- Your active faith touches Divine Truth
- We need to know our faith to grow our relationship with God
- Practice our Active Virtue of Faith (prayer, receving eucharist with faith, go to mass Sunday, pray as a mother, father, sister, brother,
Evangelization Challenge
Write your personal testimony of faith, try and make it impactful and brief 1-3 minutes. Share your testimony with a friend. The format should include 1. Life before relationship with God, 2. What has Jesus done in your life. 3. Why the life in the Catholic Church is important to you.
Be willing to share with people you know and try with a person at work, school or people you interact with. Pray and ask the Lord to provide opportunities for you to share your story.
