Jesus shares the great commission with the eleven disciples. He sends them out to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, and teaching them to observe all things that He commanded them. He also promised that he would be with them to the end of the age.

On the first day of the week Jesus rose from the dead. There was a great earthquake, an angel appeaered, and the women at the tomb were given an assignment to "go and tell" His disciples to go to Galilee and there they would see Jesus. The guards at the took shook with fear. They reported to the elders what had happened, and they conspire together to say that the disciples came while they were sleeping and stole Jesus' body. They were paid a large sum of money. Even to this day people want to deny what happened on the greatest day in history – the day that Jesus rose from the dead.

Jesus continues to hang on the cross. He suffered for the sins of mankind. He expires, and is taken down from the cross. His body is prepared for burial, and He is placed in a tomb. Guards are set, and the tomb is sealed. Friday comes to a conclusion with Jesus dead and buried.

Jesus is handed over to be crucified, and the soldiers mistreat Him, abuse Him, and mock Him. After they have their fun with Jesus He is led away to be crucified. Jesus is nailed to the cross, and suffers in our place. Everything Jesus faced He faced for us.

In this sermon we are going to take a look at Jesus’ trial before Pilate, how Judas Iscariot died, and how Jesus was sentenced to be crucified. We shall see lies, and evny at play among the religious elite. A criminal goes free, and a free man is sentenced to death.
