Luke Jacobsma just celebrated one year since beginning his TSW journey and 100 days of not showering. He shares with us his biggest lessons learned from this past year and what he would have done differently. This episode is for anyone going through TSW whether you’re just starting out or at the tail end of your healing. Luke’s positivity and outlook is magnetic. He’s a true warrior.
From the Episode:
Quote from Luke, "The struggle is so consuming. Like for me, I’ve kind of lost grip on reality a little bit because this has been my life 24/7. Scratching and itching all the time, waking up inflamed, looking different every day, being afraid of water, being afraid of showers, being afraid of food. You get to these points where I’m like “what am I doing this for?” You just got to remember that it will pass.
You have to be willing to call in a strength that you’ve never accessed before. I tell people, “if you don’t learn anything from this experience, then you missed the whole point.”
Some of the questions I ask
How long did you use steroid creams for your eczema?
When did you realize you were going through TSW?
What is the most important piece of advice you’d give someone going through TSW now
What is something you would have done differently?
