Erin and Annika Talk about Healing Eczema and Starting Their Skin Care Line, Ancient Harmony Healing
Cousins Annika and Erin have both struggled with eczema as adults. During this episode, we talk about how they are healing through the Medical Medium lifestyle, how Erin just completed her 7th liver rescue cleanse this year, and how they support each other even when other family members question their decisions. We also talk about what inspired Annika and Erin to start their business, Ancient Harmony Healing, a clean skin care line especially formulated for sensitive skin. Scroll down for a coupon code!
    From the Episode
Quote from Annika, “It can feel really lonely when you’re doing the Medical Medium protocols. And having husbands who aren’t supportive, we totally understand that. Our husbands are the same, they question everything. My three kids are also on Medical Medium protocols and the proof is in the pudding it really speaks for itself. We both look better, we feel better, we’re getting more energy than we’ve ever had and we’re more connected to ourselves and our beings than ever. And it’s definitely an interesting journey but you have to have the strength within and then also having community. So it’s so beautiful to have a such wonderful online community but we’re definitely lucky enough to have one another.”

  • Mental Health & Suicide Prevention during Trauma or Chronic Illness
If you are struggling with depression or having suicidal thoughts, we are here for you. During this podcast episode, Suzie Sandoval shares tools and ideas for how to move through and past the most difficult and darkest days you might be experiencing. Both Suzie and I have suffered from traumatic events in our life where we both suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts. We share our personal stories during this interview. Suzie has dedicated her life to helping others elevate their mindset from a place of despair to compassion.
Suzie Sandoval is the founder of OrganiZEN, which is all about decluttering your life both mentally and physically through meditation, mindfulness, and leading a minimalistic lifestyle.
Jennifer Pierce is the creator of a blog called Spirit Life Truth after suffering from eczema and Topical Steroid Withdrawal. It was during this illness when Jennifer found herself in the darkest days of her life.
Quotes from Suzie, “The intensity can be different for everyone. Some of us will take it to different extents and act upon it. What I have found is when I didn’t have any support in my life is when it was the worst. When I actually was able to have support and talk with people who had experienced suicidal mindset, it opened up the conversation that I wasn’t alone. A lot of the suicidal mindset is your feeling in despair, is your feeling alone, your feeling of burden, no one understands you, you’re in a dark place and it’s an isolating place to be. One of the remedies is being able to find someone and being able to express I have these thoughts, I have these emotions, I don’t want you to take any action on this, I just want you to hear me.
There were times where I didn’t have anyone in my life to do that. So one of the things I started doing was I would turn on my phone and I would record myself. I would actually record myself. I would be ugly crying and record myself on video and express everything I needed to express because it wasn’t something I was going to share with just anybody. I did the video solely for myself. And then what I would do was go back and watch the video. This was a really powerful tool for me. Because If you don’t feel like you have anyone in your life, this was a way. We’re often taught to have other relationships in our lives but not with ourself. We hear about self love and self care but typically it is spoken about on a very surface level. And that doesn’t get to the level of this pain we are going through and metal illness that’s happening. And so that was one of the things extremely valuable for me. I got tired of journaling. I needed something different. So it's almost like a video diary. And what that started to do what cultivate a sacred space with myself where I could be completely honest where I could get all my emotions and thoughts out. And then, when I listed to myself, I developed a compassion for myself. Me seeing myself experience such pain brought out this other aspect…of self compassion.
“When we’re lacking love, that’s really what a suicidal mindset is. It’s a lack of love to such a painful extent. If you’re able to give love, then you’re cultivating it and that is something else that will help the process.”
“For the first time in my life, I had someone who could hold space for all the pain I was going through. Suicidal mindset, I want to die, I can’t handle this, it’s too much. The intensity can be different from everyone and some of us can take it to different extents to act upon it. When I didn’t have any support in my life is when it was the worst and when I actually was able to have support and talk to people who had experienced suicidal mindset…” (referring to her sessions with Caroline Sabi, link below)
Quote from Jennifer, “Suicide crossed my mind several times over the course of those earlier days of Topical Steroid Withdrawal. Many of you listening might be going through TSW or another kind of illness. When you’re going through illness it...

  • A Visit from Jesus Christ
Alissa Williams, a holistic practitioner, spiritual coach, and intuitive, shares a profound experience she had as a young girl when Jesus Christ physically came to her one night. Alissa recalls the experience in great detail and tells us the messages he shared with her.
Alissa is the owner of Sapphire Soul Wellness. She has spent more than 12 years studying metaphysics and is certified in several healing modalities and practices. Alissa also has an intuitive gift and the ability to “see beyond the veil.” She has helped hundreds of clients heal from a variety of illnesses by tapping into her spiritual gifts and physical knowledge.
    From the Episode
Quote from Alissa: “I never got to really see his face because he was far, but he was barefoot and he was literally floating to me. You could tell he wasn’t walking, he was gliding. I think he may have come to me in this form because that’s what my mind’s eye saw him as. But I saw him how he is depicted. In a robe with the longer hair, because I could see him from the back. And he had this aura. He had an aura around him that was very golden. And I could feel it. I could feel him even though he was over there like across the parking lot. I could feel it in my body. I could feel this deep knowing, and I felt like I wanted to share it, but I didn’t know who to share it with. It was this profound moment in time that I just knew. I knew that he existed, and I knew that he was trying to give me a message.”
Some of the questions I ask:
Recently you shared with me privately that Jesus came to you when you were a girl. Can you share your story again with us now?
What did Jesus tell you / show you when he came to you?
Can you tell us more about your work as a healer?

    From the Episode
Quote from Cara: “I think essentially, give it time. And time is not minutes. Time is not days. It can be a long process. But that time does pass. You know, with any pain that any of us face whether it's in TSW or just life, it all passes, for the most part. And it really was the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. And I’d do it again in a heartbeat if I had this outcome. And any doubt. Anything you’ve felt, I’ve been there. I totally understand. And it’s unfortunately all part of the process but it does get better.”

  • Switching Protocols and Following Your Intuition, a Discussion with Karina Sandberg
Karina Sandberg followed the Medical Medium diet for 4 years. She recently decided to change protocols to follow Dr. Morse. In this episode, Karina tells us about her journey to heal from eczema, Topical Steroid Withdrawal, and many other symptoms. She shares with us the similarities and differences between Medical Medium and Dr. Morse. She also talks about the differences between a detox symptom and a flare up. Karina’s honestly and outlook on healing is truly inspiring. She’s a wonderful role model in the natural healing community.
    From the Episode
Quote from Karina, “If you believe you can heal, you will heal. And if you believe that you won’t heal, you won’t heal. So just stay positive and just keep going forward. It’s like one step at a time. You know, you’re not going to heal overnight. So just keep slowly putting one step in front of the other and eventually…this is how it was for me. People would ask me when I saw a difference. There was never one time where overnight all of the sudden I was better. I was the cumulative effect of letting the steroids work their way out of my system in conjunction with eating a healing diet. And eventually I was like, oh wow, my skin is so much better than it was a year ago or two years ago. And every year I look back a year and I’m like holy crap, my skin has healed so much. So I think it just a matter of staying the course, and staying positive, and knowing that you will heal.”
Some of the questions I ask:
Can you give us a little bit of background on your healing journey? When did you first notice symptoms that you weren’t well?
What did you do at the time to mitigate your symptoms?
About 4 years ago, you found out about Medical Medium, can you tell us what drew you to his information?
Recently you changed your diet to follow Dr. Morse’s recommendations. What are some similarities and what are some differences?
How long have you followed Dr. Morse?
Have you noticed changes in your health since switching?
You’re also studying detoxification. Can you share with us what it means to detox?
What is the difference between detox and a flare up?

  • How Diet, Acupuncture and Spirituality are Helping Catherine Heal from Topical Steroid Withdrawal [French translation in description]
Catherine Provencal is a certified acupuncturist who is also healing from Topical Steroid Withdrawal. In this episode, Catherine tells us about her healing journey. She shares with us how diet, acupuncture and other healing modules are helping her heal. We also talk about how healing is not just physical, but spiritual as well.
    From the Episode
Quote from Catherine: “Spirituality is such a huge component in health. That Qigong teacher was making me go deep in the core of my heart and see myself as a baby, as consciousness, and smile. And you know you have the whole set of exercises to do and to breathe in the universal chi of healing and love and then breath out like seeing yourself already healed. And that was so powerful when you’re in so much pain. And you just do that. I’m just tearing up thinking about it. Because that two minutes that you have a sense of peace in your own skin is amazing. You know? Amazing.”
A note from Catherine in French
Le message que j’aimerais partager avec nos amis, qui guérissent du syndrome de la peau rouge, est de toujours faire confiance à son corps et en son aptitude de vouloir se guérir.
Notre corps veut toujours atteindre l’homéostasie.

  • How an Ayurvedic Retreat Helped Nastassja Brand Heal from Topical Steroid Withdrawal [German translation in description]
Nastassja Brand only used steroid creams twice on her skin but she went through Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) after battling with eczema since she was a baby. Nastassja was exposed to oral steroids following an arm injury and later an eye infection that she believes also contributed to her skin withdrawal.
Nastassja decided to go to Sri Lanka on a mission to heal her skin using Ayurvedic methods. She attended a wellness retreat that focused on her entire body, not just her skin. Throughout her experience, Nastassja learned that healing is not just physical, but emotional and spiritual as well. Her amazing journey has transformed her into the beautiful person she is today.
    From the Episode
Quote from Nastassja, "That made me realize, even though I was doing so so good and my skin was clear for almost a week, when I’m back into my surroundings, my skin starts to flare up again. And that showed me that it’s not only what you do, it’s not only what you eat, it’s not only which medicine you take or not. It's about what you think and how you feel and it’s about your surroundings too. So it’s a whole part of everything. It’s not just one thing. There is a reason why it is called body, mind, and soul. It’s a whole thing altogether. Your body is healing, but that does not mean that you will feel better if your mind is not healing. Same with your soul. You have to do a whole thing. And that’s what I’ve really realized.”

About Spirit Life Truth

From the publisher's feed

There are few people in my life who understand what it is like to have suffered from a mystery illness and to be in a place of absolute desperation. These same people also don’t understand why I eat the way I do and why my beliefs have changed so dramatically in such a short amount of time.
