Circumstances are these things that alter our normal path. Or what we perceive to be normal path. And require us to take a different route.

When change comes, whether it be good or bad, there's a confrontation in our head. Because our brain has developed, or we've developed in concert with our brain, these neural pathways. They can be as complex as a freeway system, or as simple as a residential street.

And during these circumstances we all had to deal with, self care has become more important than ever. Self care is how we treat our physical or mental, our spiritual and emotional person.

"What is occupying your soul," and is it making your life better again? If it is making your life better, keep doing it. If you don't know, there's time for some probing and some time for some counsel, some advice from others maybe to help you come to a conclusion. And if it is not making your life better, it's a sign to stop. It's time to remove it. It's time to get it out of there.

We and our work with clients talk a lot about the importance of curiosity versus judgment.

In today's episode, we talk a little bit about the good side of judgment and the bad side of judgment. And how we can kind of find ourselves more balanced around how we look at the subject.

As we've always stressed in our podcast, exhaust curiosity before you go to judgment.

The more curious you are about something means you're gathering more information. The more you learn about something, the better you'll be at making a decision. In this case, making a judgment.

Staying curious allows you to figure out what your motivations are. And that your motivations may be different than from the person or group you are judging.

You have to actually engage your brain a little bit and think about why you are feeling that way about that person or group. Think it through. You're navigating your own emotions first. Then, you're navigating that other person's emotions.
