  • Finding your State of Flow

When people think of the idea of flow, they usually think about it in reference to an athlete. It is that feeling that comes when you are so immersed in what you're doing and time seems to stand still. They feel like they can see and do everything without effort and it feels like they don't want to stop.

Brandon Handley 0:01 What is going on spiritual dope been a minute, since we

Unknown Speaker 0:10 tried to make them like do I say come at them live and we never come at you live.

Brandon Handley 0:14 It's been a minute though, since we have hopped on two podcasts and done a solo. It's been a moment since we've done that. So coming out of my little spiritual practice, always, not always, but I tend to on Instagram just do a little posta a mini reel of coming out of Brazilian jujitsu. And I tagged it as spiritual, spiritual, dope, spirituality, and BJJ. Because that's where I'm able to go into and get into a state of flow. A state of everything kind of dissolves and goes away for a little bit. Because what happens in life in general? And this is why meditation and breath work is so vital, is that we get caught up in our thoughts. We get caught up. I know I didn't look I saw speaking first, Prof speaking as me, you know, I know that I get caught up in my thoughts. I get caught up in what's what's the next right move to do? What's the next right thing to do? I get caught up in my fears, I get caught up in anxiety, I get caught up in all that shit. Okay, well, I get caught up in, you know, being happy and find enjoys? Well, unfortunately, I would have to say that more of my time is spent in, in I'm not in that space. Right as often is I work to get into that space and find myself in that space. The reality of it is, is that I've got a family, I've got job, I've got got these call material responsibilities. And you know, there are some things that I need to at least assert influence over. If I'm not able to control it, what can I influence, and it's whatever it is that I'm influencing in my daily life, it's my job, it's, again, my household. That that's the control that I exert is the influence and sometimes the expectation of that influence is not what I would have liked it to have been. And that's where we can find ourselves. That's where we find ourselves. And that's where I find myself being frustrated. That's where I find myself, you know, asking myself, What could I have done differently? What needs to change? How do I, how do I go about this differently? I don't do as much of this is something that I used to do. I don't do is once about like, what, what why don't they get it? You know, I don't I don't do that? I don't I don't ask what should change about them anymore. So much. And that's not 100% of time, that's a greater percent of time. Because when when we do that, when I do that, I'm giving the other person, people these other things in my life, the ability to kind of control me, right? So what I need to recognize is, what is it? How do I need to approach this differently so that I might be able to get my point across because when I realized that I'm not getting my point across and in something in a dialogue, it's not them, it's me, I'm not understanding my audience. I'm not understanding the words that they use, I'm not understanding their approach. So I'm not adapting properly, and I'm not creating communication in a way that they would like to be communicated to. So I've got to look inside, I've got to look at myself and I've got to understand, Okay, well, what do I know about this person and how can I make that adjustment? So those are some areas that I can influence and those are those are the things that I'm gonna control those The things I'm thinking about, right, those are things that my mind is just like, my mind is like a maelstrom, all these things coming in and flying around, you know, I don't duck fast enough to not get hit by all these thoughts that just occur.

So when I talk about it being BJP, my spiritual practice, I've got a lot, I've got plenty of those thoughts, I've got plenty of the thoughts that I do have are immediately reactionary or proactive. In terms of how do I work this person, their body and the role. Fair amount of it, though at this point has become subconscious is simply built in. At this point, it's just the same as walking or riding a bike. After a certain period of time, you just kind of get into this state of flow, your body knows what to do. You still got some thinking to do, but you're in a state of flow, you're in a state of, of letting your body do what it's supposed to do, you're in a state of the mind is the mind is silent, the mind is gone for a little bit, because you're just in a state of, of kind of knowing what to do, or at least knowing where you are. And there's a there's a stillness, as as often as it looks like, and I'm sure that if you've ever watched somebody do a BJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu roll. It looks like a lots going on. It looks like a lot going on. But I would say that it's not too different than just just like a dandelion see kind of flowing in the wind. Right? It's, it's the deal, the person I are, we're kind of locked. One of us is to the dandelion seeds, and the other ones the breeze. And that's really what's happening. And, you know, we're in this state of flow. As, as Bruce Lee said, you know, kind of be like water, and water. It flows it, it adapts to its surroundings. It can transform and still be water, it can be ice, it can be gas, it can be, you know, water itself. And so when you're when you're doing your roles, and you're finding yourself and you find yourself in that state of flow that's being in my mind, that's, that's your connection to Source, you've got a stillness about you. That's means to me that all the things your body, mind and soul are locked in, you're in lockstep, here. You're doing, you're doing your boy band dance together, everybody's just doing everything's just doing exactly what it's supposed to be doing. And it looks and feels good doesn't, it doesn't really matter how it looks, it just feels good. And so where can you find that? For yourself? Where is practice, maybe it's drawing. And then another place for me, it's when I'm cooking. It's in a place where I find it most often, in a place where I'm trying to create something. That's what I think about when I'm making a meal and creating I'm involved with it, there's, there's an intent, there's love going into it. There's who it's going to serve as all the things. And in the creation process. I find myself in a state of flow. So where do you find yourself in the state, so that you are connected. And this is like where you this is a place where you can find your joy and your kind of imminent fulfillment. of kind of like that's the state of being that in my mind, you were sent here to be in the state of flow, the state of connectedness, this eternal state, where time dissolves and everything outside of, of you, dissolves. And like Master Oogway Kung Fu Panda, you find yourself in a state of inner peace. I'd love to hear back from you. Where your state of flow is how you find your state of flow? You know,

and maybe, you know, I'd love to hear back from you, if this has inspired you today to go find that you don't need to be in it for a long period of time, you can find yourself in the state of flow for five or 10 minutes in a day. Then you will your your entire day will be shifted your physiology, your body chemistry, your paint your brain, everything's going to be shifted as you enter this state and you'll feel a wholeness and I want to hear whether or not you got into that stay. I want to hear within that as far as you to get into that. Or just even if you don't have the time today, what is it that gets you that state

Ann Hince stopped over on the Spiritual Dope Podcast and had quite a bit to say!

    About Ann:

I am just like many other people. Just like you perhaps? I had a childhood with plenty of trauma and dysfunction. I had PTSD into my 30s, the result of two alcoholic parents. I became a software engineer because it was so comforting to know that logic could work in part of my life, even though it never seemed to work in my chaotic life as a child. In my 30s and 40s I was afforded the luxury of being a stay-at-home mom to my two boys. Realizing how traumatized I still was when my boys were young, I set out to become the calm mom I wanted to be. I changed. Things changed. Life changed. I had no idea where I was heading, I just continued to do "my release work" which is what I called it

Unknown Speaker 0:00 Your journey has been an interesting one up to hear you've questioned so much more than those around you. You've even questioned yourself as to how you could have grown into these thoughts. Am I crazy? When did I begin to think differently? Why do people in general appear so limited in this process? Rest assured, you are not alone. The world is slowly waking up to what you already know inside yet can't quite verbalize. Welcome to the spiritual dough podcast, the show that answers the questions you never even knew to ask, but knew the answers to questions about you, this world, the people in it? And most importantly, how do I proceed? Now moving forward? We don't have all the answers, but we sure do love living in the question. Time for another head of spiritual dub with your host, Brandon Handley. Let's get right into today's episode.

Brandon Handley 0:41 Hey, there's spiritual dope I'm on here today with and hence, when n was 19, she woke up one morning to find her mother dead in her bathroom. 20 years later, the tears and that trauma were still just under the surface and found a simple technique that helps her release these emotions. But she went further and now can put her awareness inside her body, which she calls insight or in Word sight. And it's found that seeking out our truth, what we truly feel and accepting those feelings is the key to inner peace. And thanks for hopping on today. Let's I mean, I mean, I know it sounds dark, but I think we end up in a good place. Absolutely. Yes. Fantastic. Fantastic. And and, you know, thanks for checking out we were talking a little bit here earlier, you checked out a couple of podcasts, you know that like to start us off with the whole idea that we are we're conduits for Source Energy, right? There's somebody that's listening to this podcast today, that's going to pick up a message that can only be delivered by you through you from source energy today. What is that message that's coming through today?

ann hince 1:46 A message is that we have so much power inside of us, though, that we're not aware of until we get there.

Brandon Handley 1:54 What when you say power? What are you talking about? Like I can lift up a car, I can shoot laser beams out of my eyes? What's happening? Where are we at?

ann hince 2:02 Right? Well, I mean, I've got to the place where I can put my awareness inside, I can hold my attention, my focused attention on tension stored in the connective tissue, and it releases. So at this point, I've got these X rays that show that I had shifted the whole structure of my skull, but possibly not the whole structure, but a good amount of it right, they've actually the bones have actually shifted. So my eye sockets have aligned my jaw, which was way off to the side is now in the center. Mostly, my neck has straighten, they have scoliosis, so it's straightening my whole body is and talking. And if my tooth roots are grown, so if I can do that, just with focused awareness with no physical manipulation of any kind, then we have a lot of power within us.

Brandon Handley 2:48 sounds super impressive to be sure. I mean, it sounds very Allah Joe Dispenza. Right. Sounds sounds similar that would would you attribute what you've done, wholly to an internal awareness? Or would you say that there's diet and anything else that plays into what you've done? What would you distribute it to?

ann hince 3:07 This has been an expansion of awareness from being not aware of anything, right? I have so much resistance inside of me when I started this work. I didn't even know how I felt right. If someone asked me, How are you doing today, and I would always say, I'm fine. Because I didn't want to look inside, I had resistance to actually looking inside. So when I found this technique, which is called EFT, it's very well known 1000s of videos about it online. It's short for emotional freedom technique was the first thing that really felt like it worked for me, like, it just changed me. I was at a doctor's appointment. And he asked me, he recognized that I was more stressed than they should be because I was just a stay at home mom with two young boys, I shouldn't have been that stressed. But he recognized that. And he asked me how stressed I was. And I said it was an eight out of 10. And I knew immediately it was those tears that were still just under the surface from finding my mother 20 years earlier. And he used this technique on with with me for about 15 minutes. And I walked away from that appointment, being able to tell the story of her death to myself, without any emotion. And it just was such a huge change that I knew something significant had happened. So I learned how to use it. And I started using it and that expanded my awareness. I mean, I didn't even know what that term really meant at the beginning. You know, we use it a lot, but have a deep awareness of what awareness means at this point. And we can get deeper and deeper. So to begin with, I was only aware at the level of words. I knew what it happens, but I didn't know how I felt about what had happened. And then I became aware of the emotions, the feelings around what happened. And then I became aware of the physical sensations underneath the feelings. So like we might say, you know, we might say we're angry, but that anger is actually Your set of physical sensations, right, we might have tension in our jaw and in our fists, and maybe our solar plexus, and we call that anger. But you can actually become aware of the physical sensations. And then I found another technique I, like, I worked on worked with another technique that I call feeling your feelings and actually became aware at a deeper level. So I could actually then hold my awareness inside my physical body, which I'd never heard of before. So, you know, I felt like I was doing something. It was just part of the path. I didn't quite know what I was doing. But I just kept doing it and just released more and more deeper and deep attention.

Brandon Handley 5:43 So it's funny, right? When you said, we use the word awareness a lot. And to your point, the way that you're using it, isn't this external awareness? I know, this is my history, as my mother would always talk about this when I was growing up. Like, like you said, earlier, I was born in San Francisco, late 70s. I mean, you couldn't really dodged that bullet of having somebody that probably talked a little bit about this, you know, high vibration, energy and awareness. And I always like what I'm, I'm totally aware, I didn't hit this wall. I didn't do this, what do you need me to be aware of goodness gracious. And of course, you know, 40 years later, give or take, I'm like, Oh, got it. Check. Right, I'm just, it's a totally different sensation, a totally different meaning. But I'd love to hear what you mean, when you say awareness, just so that somebody else's. And here's your interpretation of that. Sure.

ann hince 6:40 It's what we are aware of. So I have a good example of this before COVID, I used to have a group and we would meet weekly, and the beginning of the group would all sit in a circle, and close your eyes, and I would play a series of chimes. And everyone was just supposed to listen. And at the end, everyone would open their eyes, and they would say their experience. So the people who had the least awareness would just hear the chains with their ears. Other people would hear the chains with the ears, but also feel that the vibrations, the sound vibrations inside part of their body. And then at the other end of the spectrum, people would feel those sensations deep inside and throughout their body. And there's different levels of awareness. So once you know that, then the people who only hear the sounds with their ears, they know there's another level of awareness that they can attain. And the people on the other end, who already have that depth of awareness can then understand that there are people who don't have that awareness, right. So we, we all live in this world with a different level of awareness. And just with sounds, but it's, you know, it's also with subjects, right? If you're, if we're really emotional about some subject, and there's many subjects around these days, right, just think about abortion, or race or vaccines, any of those things. We're emotional around it. And we often then can't step back into awareness around it, we get stuck in that emotion. But something that we're not emotionally attached to, we can actually stand back and say, Okay, I know why this is happening, I can see the bigger picture. So that's from a place of more awareness. So the awareness now that I developed on the inside actually reflects to the outside. So you know, that phrase as within so without, it's absolutely true. So the awareness you're talking about from the 70s? That is just the external awareness?

Brandon Handley 8:44 Well, no, no, no, the document in the 70s. Right, from exactly the internal she meant the internal awareness you already had, right? Me I didn't, I was still I was still, you know, like, again, I was like, God, just don't pump it on the wall. I got it. I'm good. She's totally aware. And you know that, but that's but I think, you know, that's our western culture and immediate upbringing, a lot of us never advanced past that into this internal awareness that you're talking about. And we continue to believe that it's these external things that we're seeing that create what we feel on the inside, right? You talked a little bit too about, you know, the feeling our field, I love how to you grouped the physical sensations to the feeling. I've never heard that done before. I always think about definitely different lines of our way of thinking into subsets of like code and objects, but you've taken these different feelings like ooh, I'm clenched up and my guts all tight and all of a sudden, that's, that's anger. Right and being able to do that, so I think that's awesome. And and being able to feel your feelings. This is I think I listened to yours earlier. It took you a while to feel feelings? And you know, I don't know if you knew like prior to finding your your mother dead, right? Did you feel feelings? And then you had that trauma and then just kind of shut down? No. And then reestablish, you know, connection with your feelings. years later is that kind of what happened

ann hince 10:20 I had enough trouble i Both my parents were alcoholics. So, you know, I walked on eggshells, but for many, many years in childhood, so I was well shut down by that point already guess. So when I started to try and learn how to feel my feelings like it was, it was foreign to me, because I had suppressed them for decades. And I think most of us have, maybe not all of us, but I certainly had. So to actually try and get in touch with those feelings and allow them to be there because they would want to hide, right? The feelings, the physical sensations would want to disappear. They didn't want me seeing them on any level. So

Brandon Handley 10:57 I get 100% familiar, right? The whole idea of, of just not even being able to tell somebody what you're feeling. Or to know that you want to feel something else. That What's your feeling? As long as you're not feeling upset, and as long as you're not feeling mad, then you must be feeling okay. Right. And there's a whole bunch of stuff in between that, that that I think that we shut off from and we were taught to do that, I guess kind of growing up. Right? Good and bad. I mean, I've witnessed it, I've actually accidentally done it to my own child, right, where, you know, tell him not to laugh. I think at a dinner table like once for like, it was dinner, I forget what was going on. But you know, this is like, alright, buddy, there's a time and a place. And like, years later, I would find him like trying to hold back. Like why why like holding back your laughter because we told me when I was five that I wasn't supposed to laugh. I was like, I didn't mean forever. Right. But that's what we take it as children, we lock this, we lock this emotion in this time, and this place and what we were heard, and we lock that in for the rest of our lives. And my guess is, you know, that's similar to what you did you have to kind of retrace all your steps and rediscover your feelings. You want to talk a little bit about what that was like, for you? Sure.

ann hince 12:13 Um, yeah, you're peeling it back layer by layer. And it's, you know, EFT is a great tool to begin with, it's so easy to learn. And it's very powerful. And what you're doing is you're totally finding your truth in the moment. And, you know, like we just said, I was talking more about the physical, but even on the words, the emotions, like, it's hard to find your truth, because you don't, it doesn't want to be seen. So the EFT, which is where you're just tapping on the Enter meridian points, as you're talking through things, it just allows the energy to dissipate out of the body. And then the truth becomes easier to see. So that's kind of the expansion of the awareness. And as I started to do it, and went through all my went through all my childhood traumas that I could remember, I just tapped through them all one each day. And I found my mind becoming quiet, which was, that was really my goal. My goal was in a peace because I was I was very reactionary, and I was my mind was busy all the time. And I just wanted some relief from it. So I found my mind becoming quiet. And at that point, I realized that the words that I had been replaying in my mind, the ones I've been criticizing myself, and judging other people, those have been my dad's words that I had programmed in myself in childhood. And I would just replay them over and over again. But I couldn't see that until they were gone out of my mind, and at that point, actually felt like I was living in a different reality, like, I go outside, and it just felt different. Because my mind was different. So it's just been a progression from there. It's pretty cool.

Brandon Handley 13:51 Would you say that it was kind of like, a releasing a weight, and you kind of like a experience of freedom?

ann hince 13:58 Absolutely. I mean, it's part of the enlightenment process. I believe it is an enlightenment process, both in terms of releasing weights that we've been carrying around the baggage we've been carrying around. But also now that I can actually send something inside I see that underneath the darkness, there is light, and it's it's there. So yeah,

Brandon Handley 14:20 no, for for sure. Now, when you say, you know the energy dissipates out of the body. Where's it going in? What's happening with this energy? How's it you know, how's it dissipate on if you want to show an example of the EFT? I know they've seen it done different ways. But what's happening when you're releasing this energy? Well, so

ann hince 14:40 that's an interesting no one's asked me that question before. I'm a I'm not entirely sure where it goes. It's just disappearing into the into the universe, but I know before that it is stored in there. Well, I believe the connective tissue of the body which I believe is where our soul resides, and it has a electric Got components to it in the fashio of the connective tissue. And the tension is just stored in there. And as we tap, we're tapping on the inter meridian points in the body, it somehow creates an energetic interrupt into what's already stored in the body and it releases that energy that don't quite know how it works. I can feel when I'm when I'm not doing when I'm doing more the feeling the feelings are actually going inside now and holding my awareness on the tension. It just dissipates. It just lets go. I mean, at this point, I'm working with the connective tissue directly so I can actually feel its release, and I can hear it release with my that is just a deeper level of what the FT is doing. So it's dissipating,

Brandon Handley 15:46 though. I mean, hey, look, that's fantastic, right? We don't always I think that there's always this, this desire to demystify the mystical. And sometimes I'm cool with like, it's, it's like, sometimes let it go. Like, if it works for you. Fantastic. It works for others. Awesome. I don't really care. You know, in the end, how it works, if we can replicate it, and it sounds like you're able to teach this to others, and you've learned it yourself, and you've replicated it for yourself, then it works. That's I mean, I think that's, that's all really anybody needs to know, for the most part, right? I love that you're able to actually kind of hear like, do you feel like you're hearing like an energetic release, dropping, shedding what's happening, I'm

ann hince 16:33 hearing a physical release. So it took a while for me to actually get into my be able to put my awareness in my head, it was easier to put it in the body. But once I got up to my head, so close to my, my ears, I can actually hear it sounds like old fabric ripping is what it sounds like. And it kind of freaked me out the first time I was a little concerned that maybe.

Brandon Handley 16:55 Right? Well, I mean, I think I would be a little concerned. Myself 100%. But I

ann hince 17:01 knew it was the start of the journey. So I just kept doing it. And it happened.

Brandon Handley 17:06 I would love to you know, so we talked a little bit earlier about becoming aware of the awareness. When you became of your awareness when you're going through this process. Were you scared? Were you worried? Were you concerned? Were like, whoa, this I shouldn't be feeling this never felt this way before what's happening. Tell me a little bit about that. Lately, there

ann hince 17:28 was several times along this journey that I actually felt that when I was first able to hold my awareness inside, it's like, what is that? That's, that's really weird. And the way I explained it is, you know, if you have a toothache, or a stomachache, you can tell where that is right, you can feel where it's coming from. But once the ache has gone, you can't really put your awareness back where it was. So I could actually help put my awareness back on to into wherever it is that I focus my awareness, so I can actually hold my awareness in the roots of my teeth now, which feels really weird. So anyway, yeah, that was one of the weird times. Another time was when I had been working with collective traumas I was, I was feeling the physical sensations, and I would lay on the sofa. And I would bring out these collective traumas like 911, right, we we all experienced a lot of emotion that we stored inside from that. So I would feel that and let it go and feel it and let it go and feel it and let it go until that emotion was pretty much gone. And then at some point, during that, I started to feel these electrical currents inside me. I mean, and that was, that was weird. What I realized, I mean, I believe it was Kundalini energy, it experienced it for months, I can move it up and down my spine, it was really cool. But to begin with, it was a really weird thing. And I realized that it was that I was releasing so much physical tension so rapidly that my body had to release it in a different way. And it was releasing it through electrical something or other.

Brandon Handley 19:03 Why me? Super interesting because it doesn't sound you said you feel like it was Kundalini. So it wasn't a Kundalini process that you would invoke but you had this energetic kind of internal feeling and release that you would you know, just from what you studied and what you understand you would relate to as as kundalini right

ann hince 19:27 I believe so from what I have read yeah, there's just it was electric current that I could just relax into the more I relaxed the higher up it went. And yeah, leave no one else around me could feel it.

Brandon Handley 19:39 But that's that's awesome. I mean, you know, I think that so if I were to look back at wow, you know, what to do only real awakening experience that I've had that was was real similar that whole body energy just like food, like super high and being like what's happening shouldn't like, I don't know if I'm supposed to be feeling this, and I talk to somebody about this. What do I tell my wife? Right? Like, I mean, for me, that was scary. That's, that's part of my story. And and so it's it's always interesting to hear, you know, so who did you have conversations with about this? Does does these awakening experiences are becoming more and more aware? Or is this something you kept quiet? talks a little bit about that?

ann hince 20:27 Yeah, I didn't really, I mean, I talked to a few good friends who had kind of on the same path, but no one I spoke to had experienced the same things. So, um, you know, that's why I believe what I am experiencing is the original meaning of the word insight, right? Being able to see within, in with sights, and it makes total sense to me, but I've never heard anyone else talk about it that way. We hear people say, look inside. But when they see that they're really thinking, look inside the minds that when I'm doing this, I'm outside the mind. I'm actually well, I might, I'm outside the thinking minds, but I might be inside the feeling or the sensing mind.

Brandon Handley 21:10 No, I love that. So let's talk about that. I know that I am consistently told with every energy worker, I go and see that my heart is closed. And that I'm in my head. Right? And it's all about, you know, how do we get out of the thinking mind? And get in touch and sit with? I know, you keep saying feel the feelings? But sit with your Are you saying sit with your feelings or sit with your emotions with your bias? Explain that a little bit for us? Oh,

ann hince 21:39 yeah. And the words feelings and emotion get confused. In our, in our world, I tend to think of emotions as the words, right, we use the word sadness for a set of physical feelings or physical sensations. So with EFT, we're tapping, you are focusing on the emotion, right? So I might be tapping on feeling sadness. But then you can get to the physical sensations underneath that. So sadness, maybe you're feeling it somewhere in your chest, or maybe the heart rate, maybe that area, maybe there's physical sensations that you're associating to the feeling of sadness, that emotion of sadness, right. So when I'm feeling the feelings, I'm focusing on those physical sensations, I'm not thinking about them, I'm focusing on feeling what they feel like in the body, right? So you get the difference there. Okay, so then I'm focusing on that feeling, holding it there trying to just allow that feeling to stay there, because it's just stuck energy. It just wants to get out the body. But we've held it in sometimes for many decades. And so it doesn't know how to get out. So we just holding awareness on it attention on it long enough that there is a shift. And I tend to find that shift happens when I need to take a deep breath. And then I let the breath out. And then there's then I think, the thought, again, that had the feeling the sadness, and see if it feels the same. And if maybe it's shifted somewhere else, maybe it's decreased somewhat, and I do the same thing, feel those sensations, not thinking about them, but feeling them. And then they'll shift again and do that over and over again. And then the thoughts becomes independent from the emotion, there's no longer any emotion behind the thought. And there's freedom there.

Brandon Handley 23:35 Right, I'm trying to process it in once, you know, because, because it took me a long time, I think to even you know, connect with my head to the feeling right, the the D motion, and now you're telling me that I got to separate the feeling from the emotion. They're two different things, right. There's like, and the feeling the emotion is a group of the feelings and their physical. Right, just so that because right now, mentally, I'm just pulling it apart so that you know, I can I can you know, try to put this into practice myself. Right. And what's that? What's that look like? I definitely, like I said, it took a while to go get a little bit out of my head to even connect with my feelings or emotions like because I've had somebody asked me once and like Fran I hear you talking but I don't hear any like I don't hear like any emotional words or any emotion geared towards like he's right. I don't like nothing. And so it took me a while just to even establish the idea of different emotions like I was talking about earlier outside of like, I'm not angry. Good. If I'm like not crying, great. Everything else in between. I mean, I don't know. I literally No idea what are the rest of what's that range. And I would leverage the AI levers to blue check, we'll myself is just a different range of emotions. Not sure if you're familiar with it, I love it, I'll share a link with it, you later, but it tells you all different emotions and kind of where they lay in, in kind of like, like anger is, is kind of like the base of a whole bunch of other emotions, right? And then there's intersections between anger and yada yada, I'm not a specialist. But um, so So we now got like, I love it right feelings are stuck. Energy. And so EFT is is a way to, then you're tapping your body and trying to get the this stuck emotion to get on moving, right. And you can use this sounds like use it with feelings and emotions and trauma. But as far as I understand, you've also been using it in the Law of Attraction space. How's that work?

ann hince 26:04 Okay, can we come back to that? Let me just want to say one thing, emotions and the feelings. I'm not so remind me to come back. This is it starts in childhood, right? We will see a child who's holding themselves tense, maybe they've got the facial expression of anger. And we tell them, Oh, you're angry. And at that point, they start to use the word anger, and they disassociate from those physical sensations. Right? So we're reversing that process. We're letting go of the the words, and we're actually coming back into contact with the physical sensations that we then call the moment

Brandon Handley 26:43 I love it. I really do. So and Thanks, I appreciate I appreciate that. And, you know, it's, I think it's still like my children are still young enough. I could do, maybe I'll help them, I think this will be helpful for them to again, separate those feelings from the emotions, or at least say, hey, this feeling is this grouping of, you know, kind of kind of remember that. I mean, because we all I don't know about you, again, I've done several exercises where you tense up and you're like, Alright, no way you're tense, but like, I haven't done this other part where we stick the emotions to the feelings I'm in. I mean, all right, we good. We go for a law of attraction. So yep, let's go the law to action for 1000 Alex.

ann hince 27:30 Okay. So I think of it slightly differently than is out there generally in the public world. And I think of it as working all the time, right, every second of every day, we are emitting a signal, and we're attracting back into our future based on that signal. And the signal is the whole of us. It's everything about us. It's our size, it's a shape, it's our hair, it's our clothes, it's our thoughts, which most people tend to focus on. But I believe the biggest part of it is that tension from our past that we hold in our connective tissue. That's why we tend to replay things over and over again, that we have had before because it's part of our signal. So if we want to change our future, we need to change our signal right now. And we can do that by, we can do that right in the moment, by relaxing. I mean, that's why something like meditation might help, it relaxes you in the moment. So you're putting off a better signal, you're attracting things in the future, that they're going to be more peaceful. But to get to the real deep changes, which is what I wanted, I wanted to change my bass signal. So I wanted to change that stored stuck energy. So to me, that was the power of EFT. It's letting out that tension that's been stored inside for all these years. And I know at this point that it really I mean, it really is changing the basic rates aligned my skull, so I have to be emitting a better signal. I mean, have all these crazy things happen during the day of the week? So yeah, so

Brandon Handley 29:06 I love I love this whole. Look, I'm in right changing the base signal. And you're doing that, you know, is basically like, I guess if we're trapping all this energy within ourselves is like, we're almost putting like a lead shield on ourselves and not letting the true signal kind of get out. Or, you know, all we're sending out is static because we were holding on to a lot of static, right? Well, not a lot of energy that just is muddying up our, our true signal, right. And I say true statement like that, because we're always emitting our true signal. But you know, we'd like to think that there's a higher, better, best good version of ourselves in here somewhere. And a lot of us aren't expressing that because of, again, this dis tension that we're holding within. We're also there Energy,

ann hince 30:00 no idea how much tension we started saying that I possibly had more than other people because of stuff that happened in childhood plus the scoliosis my whole body was taught. But when I was actually able to put my focus my awareness inside my skull, the pain and the tension in there, the forces that I could now be aware of was just incredible. I was totally amazed how much tension was stored inside of me that I had no idea about no idea before this. So you know, it's really it's quite eye opening, once you actually become aware of the amount of misalignment that we are in and we're not aware of it at all.

Brandon Handley 30:46 Oh, I, you look, I don't even know. Right. So, so much of, of kind of what you're talking about, even even the idea of relaxing in the middle of a conversation and realizing just how tight you are in a conversation. And to be able to kind of change that signal like in in the midst of it. That's something that I've become more and more aware about over the over the past couple of years. And that came for me to me through breath work, right? Realizing if I'm tight up here that like I'm probably tense, I'm tense up here, right? So if I release that, all of a sudden, I'm relaxed. I'm like, I'm able to just step back a little bit. I'm out of that fight or flight mindset. And hopefully, I'll be meeting calm. Like you're saying, right, I'm sending out a different signal. One of the things I want I definitely want to chat about though is you basically say you grew your tooth roots longer you adjusted your your skull and your back. How long did that take? What was that process like for you? Was that part of that insight awareness, because I'm sure there's people out there that may not believe that this is possible. But it also sounds like you've got photos and X rays that prove this as this is true. So I want to talk a little bit about that. It's a great story.

ann hince 32:10 I mean, I think all of it has worked to release that tension. I only got the X rays recently. So you know if I'd got them two or three years ago, before I was actually able to sense inside those changes. Would it be in there? Probably somewhat, I would think already. It's, it feels like it's exponential. So the release of tension feels like it gets faster and faster. So you know, this point where I am putting my awareness on the inside, I feel that tension releasing, I've actually felt the bone shift, which is another one of those scary things. But I know it's all good. It's all the way happening the way it supposed to happen. But I don't think I could have I couldn't have done that at the beginning. Maybe it's just it's a journey that I don't think you can step into this point. Without going through those first few steps, just that expansion of awareness. But yeah, I do have X rays. I had x rays taken this year for Orthodontic work. That's the reason I had them. I had one similar one eight years ago. So that's why I have the photographic evidence. And it blew me away when I saw it. Yeah, I did the way the middle of my skull is kind of opened up. And yeah. So it's possible

Brandon Handley 33:29 to do the dentist come up to me and say, What do you been doing?

ann hince 33:35 And know that the dentist didn't actually see them? It was just the x ray technician. But yeah, she she, she didn't really look at them in depth, she actually looked more at the soft tissue and asked me if I was an athlete, which I lacked that because I'm not

Brandon Handley 33:50 well, that's great. I mean, that's great. That means something's working, something's working. Here's another good one that you've got on your site. And I bring this up because we were my wife and I were hanging out over Thanksgiving and we're talking with my mother in law. It's just kind of about energy where we've been gone the acupuncture and yoga and all the spiritual stuff, which you know, is newer in this household. And, and and with with my in laws, at least a conversation. And she goes, Well, I've never I never experienced like my third eye opening. Right? How, you know, how does somebody know that that's been open? Like what is what does that process or what's that awareness look like?

ann hince 34:40 Yeah, it's there's so much information out there in the internet, about third eye opening. I only have my experience to go through which was being able to see or sense on the inside and I know I'm looking from the middle of my skull. So it could be the pineal gland. I don't know for sure. I just know I can sense what's above what's in front, what's behind what's below. So it's somewhere there. And it's loosening up right to begin with, I could only put my awareness inside and not really moving around very much. But now I can move it around, I can do it with my eyes open or my eyes closed. And each time I'm working it more it, I think it's letting go of some bonds that's holding it tight. So it's just making it easier to move. I know, it's really hard to understand

Brandon Handley 35:37 what I mean, is it like, am I using a joystick? Am I moving it around? Is it like a is it like, you know, I'm very video gaming friendly? Like, you know, so is it like a visit similar to that is me describe what it's like, I guess, to be able to move this awareness around, like moving around with a camera.

ann hince 35:56 I guess they could be counted like that. I mean, you can put right you can, can you put your awareness on your kneecap? Right on the skin? Right there now got your awareness up over onto the top of your thigh and move it up your thigh? Okay, I'm just doing that inside the body.

Brandon Handley 36:20 Got it? Got it. You know, I think since you bring it up, like I think headspace I'm not sure if you're familiar with the headspace app, he has a couple exercises that are real similar that so if I were to go back and look at that, and being able, I don't think that he ever called it moving your awareness around inside, but the way that you're discussing it. I have gone through that process. Now I have to go back and practice more so that I can fix things that are wrong inside of me. Or maybe they're not wrong. Right? We got to be all loa loa specific. Right?

ann hince 36:59 This whole process has been working with the negative, I really did the positive thinking. Because whenever you do that you're suppressing what's actually there.

Brandon Handley 37:11 Right, right. Right. Right. So but but Could I just say that? If I were to, you know, allow me my little my little thing here. So not so much the positive thinking, right, but it's just something that needs more attention and nurturing that hasn't gotten the attention. Yeah, hasn't gotten you. I haven't been aware of it. Or I just haven't, you know, I've been looking for the quick Western fix the acute fix, and I haven't given it the holistic fix that that it needs. Right.

ann hince 37:42 Yeah, it's not wrong. You're right. It's not wrong. It's, it is stuck energy. It's something we haven't looked at before. It's Yes, it's something that's been hidden. And we just need to give it more attention and let it pass through.

Brandon Handley 37:55 Okay. Okay. Thanks for sharing that. Because I think that insight, inner awareness is something that has any, right, but it's something that we don't give attention to. Right. And you're calling an awareness to it by talking about it the way that you are. Because I think that we've experienced who's may have experienced that before, but haven't gone back and said, Oh, this is this is something useful. Right. And it sounds again, it sounds it sounds like you've had some tremendous, tremendous, real life impacting changes because of this is amazing. It's amazing. Also go back to the beginning to where just real quick, if I could, you know, when you said that you were just a stay at home, mom, you shouldn't be having this eight to 10. That's a lot of work. It's a lot of work. I mean, eight to 10 is not unreasonable, I wouldn't say but you know, to to at least recognize that you're at an eight to 10 and realize that that's not where you want to be. I think that's the key call out there for for me. Because listen, it's a job. It's a lot of work. And if you don't have I think I think that we as human beings were really meant to grow up and be raised and more of a community environment. And I think that without that parenting is a real challenge. If we don't have some type of community around us, if we don't have some type of support, you need a break. Right? You need those breaks, you need support from others, you need to be able to turn to others who are going through the same thing as you and not feel alone. So my guess is there was a lot of that going on for you as well. To be at an eight to turn right.

ann hince 39:48 I would see other mothers at school who were so calm, and so wanted to be like they were and I love you know, when I had another parent come up to me and said that she would like to be as calm as I am. So

Brandon Handley 40:03 there you go, has really shifted, there you go, there you go. And, and so you've been able to, you've been able to use this, you've also got a book out on if you want to share the title of that book and where others might be able to go out and get the book and just talk a little bit about what they might find inside of the

ann hince 40:20 book. Sure. It's called a pathway to insight. And I, it's found on Amazon, or you can have your local bookstore order it. And it's I talk about the law of attraction, I talk about how we store that that tension inside of us in childhood, and just my explanation of how I believe it all works. And then I go through the different steps that I went through and explain what I did that weird things that happened along the way. And examples or ideas that you can do if you wanted to do the same, the same thing.

Brandon Handley 40:53 That's awesome. And one of the things I always like to find out is like, how are the people that are closest to your family or friends, how they responded to you working with the energy field and your third eye and all this, you know, there's just other jazz now, you're in California. So the fry, like cool was come over and have a mimosa, and we'll talk more about it. So you know, it's only a little bit about what the reception of that has been like. And if there's been any fear about kind of coming out as spiritual. What does that been like? And how's that? What's happened? Like?

ann hince 41:26 Yeah, that's an interesting question. I have a close group of friends, a group that we meet weekly, and we talk about this kind of stuff. And without them, it would be much more difficult. So, um, my family and not really into this, so I don't really discuss it with them. And that's okay, that was part of the process, you know, part of the process is letting things be okay, and letting go have emotions around other things. And I can only change myself. And if I become more peaceful, then the interactions become more peaceful. So it's all good.

Brandon Handley 42:00 Yeah, that's an important, it's an important tip to realize that just because you've kind of hit this space for yourself. Everybody else isn't coming with you. Right? And that's okay. And be okay with it. Because I think that's, that's a real big one is like, Hey, I'm feeling this way. You should feel this way too is amazing. Let's all talk about it. Oh, don't worry about it's gonna be great. And they're like, No, thank you. And you're like, I don't get it doesn't make any sense. And you got to really, you've got to let go of that. Right? Just letting go of that. Because otherwise it's going to be more stored. And stuck emotion, more stuck energy, right? Because you're going to be all tense. And really, why don't you call me you should be here with me. Yeah, absolutely. I appreciate it. Wait, look, we're at this little point here where I like to call it like a little bit of like a spiritual speed dating as it were. And and so are you okay, if I go ahead and ask you one or two questions, so yeah, all right. So let's see. What have we got here spiritual speed dating. Bachelorette number one, why is there poverty and suffering in the world we're all so connected and loving. We were all

ann hince 43:20 programmed in childhood and we keep replaying the same thing over and over again

Brandon Handley 43:28 program for poverty and suffering for a while.

ann hince 43:31 That's the experience we have as we're growing up, right we program ourselves in those first seven years so if we grow up in positive poverty, we keep attracting the same thing over and over again until we let it go. And then we can move on and expand

Brandon Handley 43:48 Yeah, I suppose if you don't know there's like another channel to turn to You never change the channel

ann hince 43:52 Right? Right. How to change the channel right? We have most of this is subconscious right? We don't realize that we're replaying the same thoughts over and over again, right like with my dad, I don't know his voice was in my head until I had gone beyond that.

Brandon Handley 44:07 Now that's That's true. That's true. I like it. I like it. Let's see here. Well, since we're doing like EFT and we're doing like, which is you know, emotions and tapping if you're not watching and you're listening in on the podcast, I'm curious i don't think i've used this one yet non verbally, by emotion or gesture only act out what you believe to be the current condition of the world.

ann hince 44:40 Oh my goodness.

Brandon Handley 44:45 God given us I could do

ann hince 44:46 it without words. Because this huge variety right, I think we are breathing. There you go. You did it. You didn't want someone bringing up all this stuff that has been stuck inside of us.

Brandon Handley 45:00 Yeah, look, so just for the listener, you know, big expansive hands, right, kind of just, like blowing up and, uh, bringing up right. So I like it's good. It's got never used it before. It's fun. It's fun. We'll get one last one, we'll get one last one in here. What? And what would you say that it is? We talked about kind of stepping into there, realizing how powerful we are, right? What is it that prevents most people from realizing their powers?

ann hince 45:32 Resistance. And I almost feel like it is a you know, electrical resistance. We just, we get get cut off in childhood. And we don't realize we can get beyond it. So we don't, we don't know what we don't know. That's a great thing. Take some thinking about but we have to really want to change, there has to be some spark that says yes, I got to change, I'm going to do something about it has to be something that pushes pushes you to start looking. And then you can start to see.

Brandon Handley 46:13 Would you say that? That's like the dark night of the soul? Do you feel I don't know. If you feel like you went through a dark night of soul? Or do you feel like a dark night of the soul is inherently necessary to get to the space?

ann hince 46:28 It could be I probably did. I was a big blow up with another couple of parents at school and I was I just reacted to it so bad just in my head mentally for like days, I could hardly sleep and it's like, yeah, so it could be that. I mean, we often hear that that is the case, right? Something happens. And it's like, gotta change, something has to change.

Brandon Handley 46:53 Yeah, no, thank me. I was I was Wonder. My experience has been a little bit different in terms of, Do I really feel like I've ever experienced a super dark night of the soul? Or do you just realize that you won't change and once you realize this changes possibly start to take this change? That sounds like you. Once you began to change the change, you recognize the change that you initiated? Did you done intentionally, and that change begins to accelerate and show up more and more in your life? And you're just like, Wow, I feel great. I don't want to I've always felt this way. I don't know why I've always felt this way. Right. But, um, so I was simply curious. So and is there anything else that you'd like to hit on? For our listeners today that you'd like to share?

ann hince 47:37 I would just love to encourage everyone to, you know, one of the ways I would think about it to begin with is through that law of attraction. It's like, okay, I'm emitting a signal right now, do I want to feel this way again in the future? And if I don't, then I'll do something about it. Right? Like that could be as simple as relax in the moment or it could be tapping could be feeling the feelings, something to change that signal. And I asked myself that multiple times during the day. And it

Brandon Handley 48:03 is that generally the first exercise that you would have somebody that reaches out to you do?

ann hince 48:08 Well, I would have them learn EFT is probably look so simple, just as long as you keep EFT is powerful. And that works with the negative, it's only the negative that stored in the body, the positive is there underneath it. So all we need to find is the negative and a lot of people with EFT have moved it more into manifest the manifesting and the positive. But that's not stored in the body. It's the negative. So work with the negative.

Brandon Handley 48:36 got it got it. So this is very similar to the Buddha that was covered in clay kind of thing, right? Get rid of that to get rid of the clay and then underneath that there's all

ann hince 48:46 the gold. Absolutely. That's great.

Brandon Handley 48:49 And thank you so much for being on today. One more thing, where can everybody go to find more about you.

ann hince 48:55 So I have a website. It's just my name and hints.com and I have a YouTube channel with some videos on there. I've little more detail about things that I have gone through. And I have a public Facebook page that I'm really enjoying. I'm enjoying kind of copying means and and then explaining them in more detail through my experience you go, so

Brandon Handley 49:18 be sure fantastic and thanks for being on with us today. Welcome.

  • New Year 2022

Unknown Speaker 0:00 You're now a lot what's going on? What's going on? Happy New Year. We are live in 2022 Spiritual dope is looking for a new year. I'm looking ahead at an awesome new year. And we're looking at how was 21 for you? I see a lot of people posted.

Brandon Handley 0:24 Maggie and I were talking about this last night actually, we'd like to see a lot of people post and like, you know, happy that 21 is over. I'm like, you know, 21 was actually a pretty, pretty reasonable Year Happy New Year's cat Happy New Year's friendship. Like 20 was actually a pretty decent year. All things considered, like looking what we came out of like 2020 was a good show, like it made all other years look like, awesome you made all of the years like if you watch a movie from 2019 be like you could tell these people have been ravaged by the pandemic yet, right. You can watch that. You can watch some of that. You can watch some stuff happened in 2019. And everybody was like they were YOLO fashion was yo, yo, do whatever fuck they wanted doing care. 2020 came around, it was like, lock that shit down. Right? People? Yeah, 2021 went by with the record by new one, my crew Run Run, run, run, run. The put 21 was 21 was pretty reasonable. And I feel like we're in a pretty decent trajectory. I did a podcast yesterday, but I didn't. It didn't send it out. So I guess it doesn't make it podcast. This is the recording kind of like letters never met and reset. Just about like, all the things that kind of transpired in 21. I'm sorry. Okay. Yeah, look, I mean, I can't, like 21 Definitely had impacts on people. There were things going on. Things were tough for for plenty of people. But I think that once you once you kind of get your feet under you, and you get your like your sea legs, as it were, you got to realize that it made it made 2021 look really great by comparison and point pointing and talking about 22. And just kind of like all the stuff that maybe you've learned in 21, I can tell you this beginning of 21, I definitely saw myself like getting into breath work and do some stuff I had written on a board. Right, I didn't have a vision board. But I just had a board have a list of some things that I wanted to learn throughout the year and breathwork was definitely on there. I think energy work might have been on there. But I wouldn't there's no way I would have been able to tell you at the end of 21 that like I'd be hanging out with a bunch of crystals burning incense and hitting tuning forks and working with your energy fields. Throughout the year. I don't think that Meg would be able to tell you you know, some of the stuff that she's gone through, and the whole house is kind of walking around talking about Vives, third eyes, acupuncture, auras, and so on and so forth, I definitely never would have been able to predict at the end of the year, that I'd be getting gifts from my children. And my wife that literally, the crystal crystals was a tuning fork, which I thought was super cool. And not only that, I think it was just super cool, thoughtful gifts, what I love about the whole thing is that it's like they are supportive of of that space for me. And maybe not totally into it. But they know that it's important to me. So they let me kind of work in that space. And I think that that's when we take a look at relationships, I think that those are some of the things that are really kind of key and essential. And, you know, kind of how it all goes about, right? People don't have to be so much into the same things as you. But as long as they support what it is that you're into, and you can do that in a reciprocal nature. You can say yeah, look, I'm not at that. That's you I mean, if you want and that's what you're all about. That's great. Enjoy that. Go do that. Remember, I think it was one I think it was 2020 before the pandemic and made the I

had the conversation about how makes doing her own journey. I'm doing my own journey, right. We both got our own journey going on. Mine might be like meditation going and hanging out. And you know, doing some breath work and maybe sitting in the tuning forks and just kind of sitting in that space. Hers is like watch a housewives and you know, having a glass of wine and doing her process, hers is writing things out, hers is going out and supporting her friends. And you know, she's such an amazing supporter. Like, that's somebody I'm always learning from and like, how do you actually go out and support somebody mag is mag is always negative always. And somebody is corner, right? As long as they don't fuck it up. But even then, even then, and then I'm trying to think what else? Oh, yeah, that was the other gifts I got for Christmas, which, you know, again, just showed me how supportive the family is of me. And not just that it was a thoughtful gift, for me, was the Tibetan same goal that make picked out and I remember, couldn't figure it out, make it work on Christmas Day. But uh, Simek pulled up the site. And I saw from the site that it wasn't just another crystal or another symbol off of Amazon, right, that could have been fanned out anywhere in a factory. It was one that was made in the Paul was made by, you know, the proceeds went to educating the women and the community. And the paper was specially made paper that had only been used and Nepal cement ceremonies. So even the story behind the gift that was even like Australian, you know, a wall, it just the whole story of what went into it was thoughtful in the itself and then to receive it as a gift, you know, just every time that you know, to the singing bowl bit like I'm gonna be thinking of that moment, that gift and how it all worked out. So, and towards the end of the year, right, even even end of year I decided to sign up to become a breathwork instructor simply because of how much is done for me. And when I brought up tonight as a well, here's what we're looking at. And, and, you know, numbers wise, it's just think, well, you know, you got to invest in yourself, right. And it's me again, I was just like, wow, you know, and I know that she said it with ease and with calmness and, and, and sincerity. And was even going out and being like kind of like my biggest cheerleader, like I hadn't really shared it before she shared it, and had people kind of lining up to be a part of that, once I'm able to go out and do it. So having that kind of support at home is definitely, you know, makes it easier to go through what may seem like some hard years, but I'd say that 2021 I think that's what I'm told make this given that that's like, this is a year that I felt like you know, her and I are kind of like more along the same wavelength, right? And relationships just got stronger over the years. So that's, that's always super awesome to see. So I know that all excited for 2022 Is she and I continue to gain momentum the boys continue to be the amazing boys that they are. And they you know, continue to grow in their own ways and don't right. And we face for them and that so I don't know what I don't really know what's going on with you. I'm super, super curious to hear about what your 20 twos looking like maybe what was your 21 like, cat looks like he had some rough patches, but you made it through a lot of hearing coming through always appreciate your support. I know that you're always supportive of Megan, I said, Thank you. What is it that you may be accomplished? What is it maybe something you learned in 21? What is something that you're carrying forward into 22 that you're excited about? What is something that 22 holds for you? Right? And I don't I'm not I'm not be the best you that you can be kind of person a more of the Discover how awesome you always been? I was listening to Sadhguru I'm not really a super fan, but somebody recommended him. So I'm second shot. But he was talking about self realization. And the idea

of realization is that you realize at a certain point just what an amazing person that you already are. You realize at a certain point, recognize yourself really, I don't know, the truly miraculous wonderful human that you are. You look back in all your stories and you say to yourself, well say if I've made it through all this And I can still smile at the other day and I could still give more of who I am at the end of the day doing something right, right, there's something. I don't want to call it like something great about you, right? There's something, there's something that keeps you alive, right? I don't think that there's something else I told me. I was like, I was making fun of myself in 1997, like, forever ago, right? I was making fun of the fact that I was hitchhiking you know, middle of Texas. And I could have been picked up and killed by like anyone, right? The number of times that I've done stupid shit, that would have killed me or killed another. Like is, unfortunately, I count on more than one hand. So if you know I'm still alive, there's got to be reason for it. And my guess is something similar for you, right? There's got to be so many different scenarios in your life that could have taken you out. Right, there's so many scenarios in your life that could have taken you out, put me down for the count and Obama knows you. But you're still here. There's still something like within you, right? We talk about how many people take the music to the grave with them or how people tiptoe quietly across the stage of their own light. You're still here. And there's there's a reason for that. And if for no other reason than that, like when you wake up and you feel that force in your heart that the any point in the day, ready to burst through its shell and shine. That's to me. That's what 22 is looking like. For me for you. Right like I mean, that's what love to see for you in 22 What is something in 22? That's got you recognizing everything that's amazing about yourself. Love to hear about that. Anywho Happy New Year. Here's to 20 to 20 one's gone in books. Better than 20 books show and hopefully point point two will be that

Brandon Handley 0:40 Hey, there's spiritual soap. I'm on here today with Dr. T. He became a doctor after struggling for years with chronic low back and neck pain. After seeing hundreds of acupuncturist, chiropractors, healers, massage therapists, physical therapists, he stumbled onto a doctor at a health fair that was doing something entirely different than everyone else. The relief was immediate years of pain erases seconds. After a short treatment period, this doctor inspired Dr. T to continue his healing journey and seek out methods no others were using effectively. Now after 25 years of exploration. He's ready for you, wherever you are. Dr. T. Thanks for being on today. You're joining today. Out from Prescott, Arizona. Great to connect with you. I usually like to start these off with the whole idea that you and I are you I just saw this in some shamans study, right? Like we're these hollow bones. Right? Where Spirit just kind of fills us and speaks to us creative energies speaking to us and through us. And in this podcast, they're speaking through you to this audience in this very moment that can only be like there's a message that can only be delivered in this moment. What is that message today?

Dr. T 1:53 Well, I think that, like myself, that we all believe that there's something greater and bigger than ourselves something bigger than the human physical experience, and that we're part of this larger divine family than what appears before our eyes. So I thanks a lot for having me here today. And I just think that anyone obviously listening in on this is the minds have to be open, we have to be open and just recognize that we're part of something bigger than ourselves.

Brandon Handley 2:27 100%. And, yeah, I think you and I are talking a little bit here before he got going on this. But let's let's let's give a little background on what it is that you do. And what you found that you're so excited about and that you've learned over this past 25 years and just kind of muddle around in there until we until we get all the good juices.

Dr. T 2:50 Well, I am a chiropractor, I thought it was gonna be adjusting bodies all day long. My father was a chiropractor. My brother's a chiropractor. And God just had a different journey for me. I think it was the second week in school. I came across the guy sitting in the back of the room. He was the instructor for the class. I had a couple of questions for him. I ran up and I was all excited new with all this, you know, and and he was teaching some energetic course back then I don't remember really exactly what it was. But he kind of just sat there and he kind of looks down. He says hold on a second with your question. Hold on, hold on right there. And he reaches down and touches his hand. He kind of looks off in the distance. He brings his finger up and he goes, Okay, well, what was your questions? And I said, What the heck was that? And he says all that was that was Cindy in Kentucky. She called me before breaking. She was having some heart murmurs. And I said, Okay, I'll see you later. Have a nice day. I kind of ran out like a dog with his tail between his legs, you know, oh, my God, this guy's crazy. It's not and I you know, I had I had ideas of spirituality before I got to school, but I was late into school. And my first class was age 35. And so anyhow, I just left and, and of course, looking back now, I realized he was probably an angel who probably popped down and that was a big moment because I, I really liked what he was teaching. He was like 92 years old back then. And I know he's long gone. Now, obviously, my CS 130. But he couldn't be. Anyhow, so I go to another seminar about two weeks later, and there's a guy sit in the back of the room and he's doing these odd motions with his hands. I could tell he was really intense, intently focused, and I walked away. So you're working on somebody somewhere else, right? And he says, yeah, don't tell anybody. People don't like that here.

i So okay, so. Okay. All right. I'll see you later. And at the end of the day, I caught him for a moment and I say, So how exactly are you doing that? He says, Well, you know, I just I just see it happening. I see it just was working. And I said, Well, what do you see working and he said physiology is normal physiology and I was able to tell them how to do it and it works really well. So that was my introduction to all this remote work. And so I kind of veered off of the physical hands on bodywork at that moment in time, that was probably a month into my training. And I just started seeking out all the various energetic modalities that are out there, there's hundreds of them out there. And I just kept looking at them and seeing them and some work better than others. And some had more awareness of how the world really works. And so I really focused a lot of attention on those that that that worked better, and made made sense to me in the course of how we experience the world. And when I'm talking about that, of course, I'm going right to consciousness, and you know, being a conscious being and experiencing this physical body, moving through this physical space that we have the space and time, consciousness is how, you know, that's, that defines how we are all one. As you know, I'm sure you think of an old friend you haven't seen in a while, and he calls you out of the blue, hey, what's going on? I'm out here in Phoenix. Having a good time in the desert, it's nice and warm, you got to come out and and, or you'll see somebody to store and they'll, they'll say, Hey, you remember, you'll think of somebody you haven't seen in 20 years. And, and and then you go to the store and you'll run into somebody who you see all the time. Hey, guess who I just heard of? Yeah, I heard that. So and so got in a car accident, he's busted up in the hospital. It's like, wow, you know, how do these, you know, they're these intricacies? These little connects the synchronicities happen. And so I've spent, you know, 20 some odd years looking at, you know, how all these things work? How can we alter that? How can we use how can we use this knowledge of quantum mechanics basically, to access and utilize this field that we're all in, you know, get? I think that the you know, we've come up with the term apply quantum mechanics, and that's what kind of is how I describe what it is that I'm that I'm doing. And then of course, we, you know, we bring in angels who bring in the angelic realm. And now we're doing things that really are just absolutely mind blowing, and right in front of your eyes, and nearly instantaneously. And if it is instantaneously, it's within a second or two. So sometimes it takes longer for some people. So that's kind of how I got you know, where I'm at. Now I've I've, I was studying all these different things. And I was working at the time of working on people practicing as I was at school, because I was a massage therapist before I started studying for chiropractic. So I had a license to practice. And I was slowly bringing in some of these other energetic techniques. And using these nine people do some massage, and I would do some of these other techniques. And one of these guys who I've been working with, he was a racecar driver, they had a really awful accident, we were able to take care of really about 90% of all these things he had wrong. But I was seeing him pretty regularly. I was seeing him probably every two weeks. And so we get to know somebody over the course of a year, year and a half of seeing them for something that really no one else is able to help him. And I helped him with the work that the guy used on me that got me out of out of pain. So I went and studied all that work. And so I use that on him when he came in and he was he's great as it goes, Hey, what's going on? So well. Mom's in a hospital in Dallas, they don't think she's gonna make it. They're looking for a heart transplant. They're saying that a quadruple bypass won't help her. It's so bad. And I got to get on a plane, I had to cancel all my work. I gotta get on a plane and fly home tonight. And, you know, say goodbye, basically. And I think if I remember right, he said that he couldn't get on a plane that night. It wasn't gonna be until morning. So he was obviously really concerned. And I said, Well, you know, there's this little thing that supposedly we could do from here. We were in Los Angeles. She was in a hospital in Dallas. And so he said, Absolutely. Let's give it a try. And so he sat down and we worked on her and I remember right, it was 15 and this is 20. This is 20 some odd years ago now, I think I think it was five or 10 minute treatment is all we did. And he called me the next morning eight o'clock in the morning is Yellen in the phony just couldn't believe it. She she got up at three in the morning. And Tuffle Texan woman got up at three o'clock in the morning, yanked all our tubes out ever walked out of the hospital, got a taxi cab and took her home.

That was my first remote case. So I wasn't tossed into this where was something like that there's no disbelief anymore. So that was that's how that's that's how I got to where I'm at here.

Brandon Handley 9:43 Not for sure for sure. When you talk about the work that was that initiated you what specifically because it happened to you where you experienced the healing on you. First, can you talk a little bit about that?

Dr. T 10:02 I couldn't feel my legs, I would lose control of my bowels, I would pee my pants. I had knives stuck in my low back front of my back and kind of moved around. It went up and down my spine. It was it was absolutely debilitating. Absolutely 24/7. I had that since I was about 18. I grew up on a farm in Illinois. So when you grow up in a farm, you do a lot of work you shouldn't be doing, you get a lot of opportunities for injury on farms, very dangerous occupation, especially for a kid and you just don't know better. You know, you that's just how it is. That's what you do. So I was in pain for almost six or seven, eight years at that level. And this is pretty embarrassing as a 23 year old, 24 year old. You know, being unable to do stuff that others are. So in we were we were going camping, it was my ex girlfriend, we're going camping. And she was the one who was wanting to get into the healing at the time. And so we'd already looked some chiropractic colleges and a few other things, acupuncture schools as she wanted to do. And there was a health fair in town on our way out of town. I was like, I don't want to go to welfare. I already know I'm going to see I already have $30,000 I know half the people there. And I did. I knew half of the doctors there. Well, there was one doctor and Dr. Collins and his last name finally popped into my mind. He was he was behind the curtain doing it look like pretty much muscle testing people for nutritional deficiencies and things and, and I just thought, well, here's this guy doing something different than everybody else because everybody else was doing the same thing. And I mean, I walked around the it was a pretty large auditorium. I walked around a couple times looking at things and my girlfriend was talking to different booths and I walked back over there and sure enough, the girl steps Well, hey, it's fine for you. Anthony. He'll come come come on back. And so I get back in there and I sit down and and I go okay, here you go. These people whoa, whoa, hold on what's going on? And I just said, I damn near a broken to tears. It's just been so long. And I was at the end of my rope. I mean, I was 30 I was 30 I think I was 30 years old. And and I told him and he says Well, let me just see something here. Just hold here you kind of touched a couple spots on me. And he says Here lie on your side and I lie on my side. I'm like you know I've had the side posture 1000 times by chiropractor's is not it's gonna make it worse, unfortunately. He said, Ah, bring your leg up this way, start digging into my abdomen, pushing tissues away. He dug so deep. I don't think I've ever had anyone ever come near there. I don't think I've ever done that to anybody. It was so deepened into my through my through all my viscera, right to my spine. And then he had been moved by leg and basically it let go. And what that was was a so as muscle was welded, welded to the sciatic nerve, the sciatic nerve, and the autonomic chain, which is which controls your bodily functions. And I mean it, it hurt like hell. I mean, to say it lightly, it was unbelievable. And he did it like three times and say that it's time to go for a walk. So I got up and I started walking. And I think that was like the second or third time I was in the presence of angels. The lights came on. The music wasn't quite like that, but I could

Brandon Handley 13:31 see oh, yeah, look at you. Sounds like he was able to heal something that you had thought you were gonna have for life. I mean, call it whatever you want, you know, touch whatever Highway to Heaven, whatever. Like, you know, there's this is somebody who's come in and, you know, you don't know maybe saved your life. Right? It sounds like you were in enough pain and probably depressed it to a point where like, you know, look not for nothing. I know if I'm an adult, and I'm shitting and pissing my pants like, I'm not feeling great about life.

Dr. T 14:01 Right? Like it's coming to an end. It's coming to an end. Ya know, it was coming to an end. Yeah. So

Brandon Handley 14:06 you got a guy down here, you've run into him by chance something you weren't even going to go to you like, Screw it. Let's go hop into it. saves your life.

Dr. T 14:14 Yeah, changed my life saved my life. No question of it without him. I'm sure I would not be sitting here talking to you. You know, we all have had these angelic experiences in different ways. And some, you know, young people, we just discard this regardless, you know, people we just tend to disregard it. But it would not surprise me at all to find out one day Yeah, actually, he wasn't angel. He was at the right place at the right time to completely change the direction of my life. And God bless him forever in gratitude for him. And it has it has it's like being reborn when you have this happen. And I've been fortunate enough to have this happen in a whole lot of people now. And I'll never forget When he said to me after I saw I went to I started working with him. Once we got back from camping, we did a 15 day hike up in the mountains over 50 miles, backpacks, no pain at all, no problem at all. And I mean, I've never had any of those issues since. But we got back. And so I worked with him for about five or six months, and about a six month after I had done through four or five different jobs. He says, you know, Tony, you really, you know, I've known you for six months, you've had 10 jobs. You're so guarded. You're just curious. I mean, you figure this stuff out. And then, and then you know, they're on to the next one. So yeah, I can't stand it. Hey, Dad, he said, Well, the only thing you'll never figure out is the human body. You will never ever figure out how to help everybody. And sadly, he's correct. I can't help everyone. But I've been able to figure out how to help a lot. And I owe that. I mean, I'll never forget that day, he told me that I went to massage school, I studied that work that he used on me. And then and then eventually, I just I just woke up one day. And it was just in my mind plain as day as we're sitting here talking that it was time to go to school. And so I did 35 I started college.

Brandon Handley 16:15 That's awesome. And so you you went in, you went in the same kind of vein as your family. Right? You started, you started this in a chiropractic space. But then you you quickly understood the impact that energy healing could have on somebody. And as far as I can tell, like you just be chased after like, get this should be, this should be something everybody should be doing. I want to learn how to do it. You get to a point where you meet up with the racecar guy, right? You heal on him. And then you and you're doing close proximity, right? Like I think that if I don't know what the hell it is, I'm reading right now. But it's some book, you know about the biofield. Right? Where you got you got about six feet, give or take around the body, right where this energy field and and you're comfortable at this point, working within that six foot energy field, right? You're like, I got this. I'm good here. And then and then you get this opportunity to just say, You know what? Sounds like a last ditch effort. Your mom could be dying tonight. Let's let's try this thing. Right. I've heard about it. I believe in it. I know what can be done. I don't know if I can do it. But let's, let's give it a go. You do it you have that moment. What happens after that? Like, would you share that with some of your family? Do you tell them? What are some steps that were you had after that?

Dr. T 17:42 Well, I don't really share that I didn't really share with anybody at all. i i You know it back then it was still so it's still so far out. I mean, you know, you've heard of remote healers. And you know, some some people may have tried them. And I've tried a few I didn't really have any results at all, personally, you know, with in this particular case, she got on a plane and she was like, she was like, What the hell the heck is this? I'm coming out. She came out to Los Angeles a treasure for I don't know, maybe two weeks every other day for two weeks. And I was using some you know, some work that's still out there of the time, I was using neural link as a guy from a really great doctor osteopath out in New Zealand. It's good work. I saw was using that at the time, I think mostly primarily, and a few other things that I've learned locally in Los Angeles. But she came in she was deaf walking. She looked. She looked over the dead her I mean, she looked 110 I mean, she you know she had emphysema, COPD, chronic pulmonary obstructive disease she had, oh God, you name it. She had it. She had all of that in the end. And I think I saw I treated her probably six times over those two weeks, she left. And then about a month and a half later he comes in and comes walking down my stairs and I look out the window. I didn't know he had a sister. And I opened it opened up the front door. I didn't know yet a sister. Hey, I'm Tony. And she says why Tony you dirty dog. It's me Susan. This woman had lost 40 years offer. I mean, she it I just I was shocked. And that was that was a real eye opener for me of like, oh, okay, so this energy stuff, you know, I didn't crack her I didn't have to do it and he just didn't do any chiropractic. I you know, that work is fairly light touch. But it's but it's rubbing the body in different areas. Well, what I've come to find is I don't need to do any of that. I can do it all without having you here I can You can be I don't know. You probably be on Mars. As long as you're alive. I can do it too. I mean, you know, that's consciousness. You know, even even consciousness has to have an effect on Mars if you're a conscious being a sentient being so you don't really kind of I really kind of kept it a secret from my family. until they started needing help. And so I've been, you know, I've helped them a lot over the years with the remote work that I do. And now they're kind of like they're just fully on board mom's totally on board. And, you know, they they're kind of really into this, and this remote angelic, you know, frequencies that we're able to we have access to.

Brandon Handley 20:21 So, I mean, it's cool, right? Like you said, even now, even though I think it's more accepted, and acceptable now, because science is coming into line with it more so now than in the past 20 years, I think it's been an accelerated rate. You know, keeping a secret, right? Because you're like, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not stupid. I'm not gonna tell you, I don't need that shit. Right. Like, I just, I just want, it's great that I can do it. And And here, I'm gonna, I'm just gonna keep doing it. And and even to the degree where I imagine that the massage was almost a cover for the energy work that you were doing to heal people. Right. And you talked a little bit about, and I just brought it up to the the field. You mentioned, I mentioned the energy field. And you talked about the field that we're all in? Are you talking about a field of consciousness? Once you elaborate on what you mean by the field that we're all in a little bit for somebody who's not familiar?

Dr. T 21:19 Well, it's just it's just the field of consciousness, you know, that can that can give the definition to everyone says, Well, we're all one. Well, how the hell are we all one? You're over there? You're in Philadelphia, I'm out here. What do you mean? Well, that's that idea that you think of somebody you love. And that message goes right through to them. And so And there's, there's a million examples of this in nature. And then we can start getting further into and breaking it down into different areas like Rupert Sheldrake 's work with regards to morphic fields, and how they give shape to structure. And, and so, you know, consciousness is just how, how I believe we are able to access it to get information from someone, and then be able to use intention, because intention is what drives consciousness. You know, if we're just floating on the sea, we don't have a carrot, we have no intention or mind at all work, that's kind of what we're doing. We're just kind of drifting around. With what I'm teaching, what I'm doing is I'm using focused, focused intent to drive a change through information given via consciousness. So so if we are all one, it must mean that everything within this field, we must be able to have access to in some manner. So that's something else that I'm teaching is how to access that field, ask to ask it, hey, what's going on? Brandon, he's calling me with, you know, he's got a floater in one of his eyes, what the hell's going on in there. And so we're able to access that field for that information. And once we have that, then we can use various techniques on primarily teaching how to direct angels to make changes in every system of the body, circulatory, nervous system, immune system, endocrine system on and so that's a whole, you know, that's like a not that's a field within a field. People like our angels part of consciousness. Well, heck, I don't know. I don't think they are. That's why it That's why I teach that, that they're there. You know, you know, that could be a lower realm, I don't know, could be a higher realm. I don't know. They just have their own realm. I don't, I have no idea. But what works is what I'm teaching and what I'm teaching is how to how to use have a dial. It's a biofeedback mechanism that we can use to access consciousness, to ask questions about what's going on within some within something in consciousness. So does that mean our plants and our plants allow our plants part of consciousness? Of course they are. So we can fix a tree, we can fix a field, we can have an effect on, you know, on plants, plants, animals, absolutely any animal anywhere. I just ran into a little baby rabbit, bunny rabbit walking through a field a couple days ago, and I needed help. How do I know I ask, I ask if it needs help. And I'm able to access this field of consciousness that we're all in and then use intention to direct angels to do the healing intention. You know, intention is what drives is what drives the the field of consciousness. And as we hone that skill, it's I believe it's a part of your brain that can be honed and it can be amplified. And it can become instantaneously really powerful, especially with especially if you have the right training. It took me a long time to figure this out how I could how I could pass this on. And I think I've come up with a way that is just it. So far, it's just been absolutely mind blowing. I'm getting emails every day from people who have taken my class, they're doing things that this just absolutely unbelievable. And it's really kind of fun teaching it because now they're not my clients anymore, I have room for new people.

Brandon Handley 25:16 How much of what you are doing, what you say, requires faith and belief?

Dr. T 25:32 Well, I believe a lot of it. And that's one of the things I teach, one of my models in my class is seeing is believing. And when you see it, you believe it. And when you believe it, your faith can come up. And so we're doing stuff we're making sure I'm making, I'm making sure that first day people are seeing things, because well, a lot of these people have seen have been to different doctors, and I've seen a lot of them, you know, three quarters of the class that none of those people have ever seen me have never been my clients, but they've seen other people. And so we've seen enough, and they're really probably most of them signed up, signed up out of curiosity. So I think curiosity is a really big part of what I'm teaching also. Because if you're curious, you're open. If you're not open, if you already know at all, if you already, you know, this is this is how it's done, then you're just not going to do well with what I teach, you have to be curious, because curiosity allows you to come from a neutral point, a neutral standpoint, because if you're curious, you don't know. And so you're able to ask a better question. And you're able to have a better opportunity for this instantaneous healing. And, you know, seeing is believing. And as you as as you, you do it once, all of a sudden, you're just, I mean, it's amazing that this last class was amazing. Granted, because I think it was maybe the third hour, I go through all the mechanics, I go through all the all the applied quantum mechanics of how this works and how consciousness works. And really, I really break it down into all these really cool little examples of problems. This is how that's done. That's how it's done. And here's what how we make these changes. And, and I'll say, Okay, anybody have something they've had for a long time? It's fine. If Samantha had bad ankle, you know, oh, yeah, hand goes up bad ankle 35 years, the twisted high school football. It's never been the same. Okay, Susie, what would you do what I just taught you to that ankle across the other side of the room over there? So as soon as he goes, Oh, just just do what I just showed you. As soon as he does what I just showed her? And I said, Okay, would you stand up, she stands up, and the guy stands up, and he says, Oh, my God, it's 100%. Gone. And everyone says really? They couldn't even believe it. So would you jump up and down for me, please, jumping up and down, wiggling all this weight on that ankle hopping around the room like a bunny rabbit? And I said, No. Anybody else not see this? Did you? Do we pay you to do this? This this acting? No, it's not. So that's how it starts, you know, this, this? And I don't blame, you know, it's just funny. It's like, really, that that's what what just happened there. And, you know, and so we've had, we've had, we've had so many examples of this. We had a woman whose arm was completely dislocated out of the socket moves around a forward arm fall out of the socket. Now I know. Any Western medicine doctor, any most chiropractors, most acupuncturist who were watching if any of these people watched physical therapist would say that's impossible. Well, it's not we all saw it, we all watched it, she reached her own auto, her left, her shoulder would come out of the socket and drop down to here. Alright, so she will forward or to the side down here, raise it up overhead, the whole thing would plop out and he was hanging down below here. And, and, you know, I was just like, Okay, so we're going, you know, we're gonna fix that here. And, you know, the mouse just hit the table. I mean, yes, impossible. That's impossible. That's okay. It's impossible. 120 people are sitting here thinking it's impossible. And it was impossible effects with 20 people sitting there thinking it was impossible. So once we got that out of their minds, we treated her and it's probably the only treatment I did the entire weekend. 100% resolved and probably 90% of was emotional.

Brandon Handley 29:31 On her end, and I think I think I think it's really cool, too, that you bring up a really good point, I guess, you know, if you're if you're in a room, and this is just me speculating and thinking about the situation. If you're in a room full of 20 people who all don't believe it and who all don't see it, there's going to be an impedance. Right to to to healing, because I think that was going to be around my other other question. Do you find it Think about the whole idea of the placebo effect, right? And the placebo effect is anything that's effective that, you know, above, you know, 50% or whatever, that, you know. But I always wonder I'm like, nobody's ever talking about like, the no SIBO, right? Like, you know, what about the people that just simply don't believe they can be cured? Right? Are those people standing in the way of their cure? Right? So, you know, so what you're sitting in a room full of is the know, SIBO? Right, you know that there's people like throwing up like this energetic wall, or like massive interference to energy being able to be delivered? Am I on the right path? Or, you know, what are your thoughts there?

Dr. T 30:43 Oh, absolutely. You're on the right path. And, you know, so many times those No, CBOs are proven wrong, and I never mind never bothers me to do that. And that kind of goes back to what we talked about when we first got on here is that, you know, those who, whatever the thing is those who say it can't be done, she stopped interrupting the person doing it.

Brandon Handley 31:04 Fair enough. I mean, so I mean, so are you saying then to like that, I guess your willpower strength and belief in what you're doing is more powerful than their disbelief?

Dr. T 31:17 Yes, but powerful is, uh, you know, it's a loaded word, I would say, my mind, the frequency that we're able to raise is more more in resonance with their disbelief, you know, so, so, so the disbelief is usually from the conscious mind, you know, so ah, you know, this ground is solid is stone, it's not moving around? Well, we know it is. And, and so I think a lot of that a lot of that no sequel is impossible have that happen. A lot of that's from the conscious mind. And a lot of the work that we do is subconscious is underneath that low, you know, that layer of resistance, and you you get it as you and how do we affect the subconscious mind, that's intention. And if you present something to the subconscious mind to consider, that may be a better operating system than it's experiencing? I don't care how much disbelief you have. It goes right through and it works. Yeah, and it changes. And then you have a client for life. Sure. Because they're coming in thinking, There's no way anybody can help me, they have been everywhere. And, you know, it's always nice to have the people that come from somebody that had a, you know, a really amazing experience, because they're already on board. And when they're on board, they're accessing me, you know, they're accessing my field, they're accessing the field of everybody, I've been able to help. And they come in ready, you know, they're ready for it. So that's obviously what you prefer. And then you know, the placebo effect is greatly under utilized. It's, you know, we, we could talk all night long about, you know, the double gold standard for studies. Well, we, we know that the act of observation changes the outcome of an experiment, that's Heisenberg's principle, I'm sure you're well aware of that. So that means that these people who are doing who are studying everything, everything from child seat safety to the newest heart drug, are all influencing the very thing they're studying, they should have to have blindfolds on not be paid to lock in Faraday cages, and have the experiments go without them being able to see it or even know about it now. So so that that's, you know, that's kind of where we're at with some of this stuff,

Brandon Handley 33:35 certainly hard to get an objective outcome, when you're being paid to run the study by the person who, you know, is going to benefit from whatever that outcome is directed towards them talking big pharma here, but you know, you know, what are you going to do just happens to be the world that we're in right now. And to me, you know, that just makes kind of the world that you and I inhabit, kind of that much more beautiful, right? Like just kind of breaking through the veil and be like, Oh, shit, it's been a lot of bullshit. I'm not here, I'm not here to do really, that I'm here to live my life and just realize how it can be lived. Right? And share that with anybody else that I think similar to what you're doing or like, here's, here's some stuff I've come across. You don't have to believe it, in order to receive it as it were. And I'll show you that and you can walk away thinking whatever you want type of thing. So you I love the idea of the focus intent to drive change to information. I love the idea of the biofeedback mechanism again, in reading like, I guess in this in this book, I wish I had it here. So upstairs, but in working with this energetic field, just literally a question for me. When you're working with this field, and you're working with the energetic field, like like I said, we kind of know we have an idea that's about six foot like around like that tour route. We're oil field right around the body. Are you is the biofeedback mechanism you're getting? Are you able to feel that and sense it as like kind of like blockages or just disturbances and energy around a person? Or what's your What do you mean by biofeedback mechanism?

Dr. T 35:16 How do you Well, it's a test. So there's a number of ways you can use your hands to or different muscles in your body to to test. And so we, what I'm, what I'm teaching is how to use this, this powerful feedback mechanism there's there's a million of them out there it's everything from muscle testing to know guys with the rods looking for the waterhole, there's a lot of these are out there, I just I'm good at finding a lot of things and making them really simple. And I've just discovered that I'm a really good teacher, I know how to teach it. And so once you learn how to get in and ask simple, simple questions, yes or no questions, we have menus that you follow down to figure out what's going on in the body. So say you come in with leg pain? Well, is it a physical? Is it? Is it in the physical realm? Is it emotional issue or is a spiritual issue? And so then we just start chunking down those different? Once we get into one of those regions, we just chunk it down to find out, you know, what, what's the highest priority? What's going to have the biggest effect? Because what are we using the mechanism for? So you're talking about the biofield. The biofield is physical, that's a field you put out by your nervous system, your heart puts it out, your nervous system puts it out. But what does that what does that connected to? That's connected to consciousness? And that's what we're going after. We're going after we are accessing consciousness using a biofeedback mechanism to dissertation from consciousness, what the hell is going on? And Brandon, why is his leg hurt? And in you know, so many times they Oh, my leg hurt? Well, I did this, you know, I, you know, I stepped off, I took a wrong step off off a ladder, and I landed, what's your appears to be something physical, but it may not be. And and so we so we come from a place of curiosity, a place of neutrality, because you making taking that step you could have your mind could have been drifting into a moment of fear that you had fallen off a high place sometime. Yeah, the physical impact hurt the leg, he probably tore, some ligaments probably did some of that. But consciousness will lead us to the priority, which was the emotional effect. And then we will work. Once we're done with that we'll work back towards the things to fix the physical aspect. So we're talking about two different things, we're talking about the bio field, which is real. And we do get inside that bio field and do some work in there. And in my class are some things that you can do within that field, that are really fascinating, really, amazingly powerful. Again, I've just gotten rid of all the junk that I've studied, I've studied, I could walk around this house and show you stacks of books. So there's a room full of books and so many things I've studied. But it just doesn't, it doesn't deliver what I feel like we the this, this precipice we're on with this work is, it really truly is mind blowing. If we don't have if we don't have a miracle a day, I'm pretty shocked. And if we don't have four or five a day, I'm like, Oh, come on. Now. Let's do that. Got it. We got to find some new people or I'm gonna need some help.

Brandon Handley 38:31 Right. I guess I guess, um, sounds to me like and, you know, could be from anywhere a little bit of Hawkins work like David Hawkins with like, kind of doing doing some of that, but I'm sure expanded and then refined to your own practice. So yeah, I

Dr. T 38:46 love David David. Fantastic, great spiritual teacher, fantastic spiritual teacher, I am not a spiritual teacher. I am I can address a number of spiritual issues. Ya know, his and his work is, you know, I mean, it's in them that, you know, it's right up right up. My alley. Power versus force, right. Yeah. What, what book really got me going into that some of these things and, and, you know, he's a great spiritual teacher. But he was not doing the kind of stuff we're doing. We're using this stuff clinically. So no,

Brandon Handley 39:19 I mean, I guess a little bit of the muscle testing right

Dr. T 39:21 was Yeah, and we don't do any of that. Okay. I think I'm onto something way more powerful. It's different. Yeah. Different, different. Just different. You know, my casting has, uh, you know, has there's a lot of inherent flaws and muscle testing, the show people teaching it aren't even aware of Sure. And so, you know, yeah, I'm curious. I'm curious. All right. It helps us doing this. Why is that not doing that? I've always been curious. I've got myself in trouble. And, you know, I'm on my eighth life. I got to be careful.

Brandon Handley 39:47 For sure. Yeah, I love I love the idea, though, that you're you're you're you're going in there and you're using your biofeedback mechanism and you've got like a kind of a checklist where you you know, Hey, is it Is it physical? Is it you know, is it spiritual? Could be? And maybe and then like, is this mental, emotional, and that's where like you're getting your your strongest pushback. And then and then you're saying, hey, the priority here is in this space. And now, and now, you know, what you found for yourself is that you're now teaching this, you want to talk a little bit about what these classes look like, and the type of people that are joining your work. Yeah,

Dr. T 40:25 everybody, it's, it's everyone joining, we had this last class. So we had, we had a 45 year old chiropractor. He's going to be the only class he's ever taken. He's do I've done a testimonial for I'm very proud of, he would, he wouldn't leave me alone, I kind of had to ditch him. I'm kidding, Greg, if you heard this ever, he, you know, I can only handle so much praise. But you know, he really just said, he just gave me the highest compliments. It was such an honor to have him there. And we had a what else we had, we had a physical therapist, we had a medical doctor, we had a dancer, we had massage therapists, we had, you know, a CEO of a very large international corporation, secretaries, we had everybody all walks of life did the training, and everybody left being able to do this. So I'm really, I'm really humbled by what we've put together. You know, 20 years ago, when I first met that doctor, who was there, we were we were having a drink after a seminar. And he was at, and we did some work on each other. We did some stuff on some people, some other peers who were there. So when are you going to teach us what? Well, you know, all, you know, all of this stuff on this? Yeah. But you just you just know how to show it to me in a way that I understand what the hell are you going to teach this? And so for 20 years, every time I see him, he's like, What are you gonna teach? When are you going to teach this? So I finally decided about five years ago to start writing it down. And over the course of five years, it just started, it just started really being revealed. And I thought that was that was, you know, that was an intention, you know, it was my intention was, hey, it's time I'm not young, anything, I'm not a young whippersnapper anymore. And, and so took me about five years to have it to a place where I felt okay, I can pass this on now. And do it in a way that I'm comfortable with, because I am, I do expect everybody to have good results with this and understand it, you know, a lot of the seminars that you would go to have gone to over the years, you know, you get back to the office, just like what the heck, I'm completely lost, I have no idea how to even start to implement this. Where's A, B, C, and D, I need something simple. Now I'm a doctor, but I'm not that smart. So, so the class I pulled all of this knowledge. And, you know, I've modified or modulate all of it in different manners. And then I've plugged in my own observations. And these these observations, once I set that intention to have this be able to form this class, we get these insights. And all these, these are angels, you know, they they whisper in your ear, they they go, Hey, did you check this? Did you look at that? And then I would and then when I start asking questions every now and then I just get a little tiny, little tiny thought. And that would be the answer to my question to my inquiry. And once I had enough of those, what you know, one of them is this biofeedback mechanism. Another one is how to be more powerful. And in asking the angels to do something, and and you start having these, once you start, once you start seeing, once you start seeing it, you start believing it, and pretty soon, pretty soon I had a whole stack, we have a very large manual that we go through, I've actually have to take a whole bunch out because it's it just takes too long to teach it all. So I'm going to have to do a masterclass. But but not until I have enough people trained in doing this first portion. Because the results you have with just those are absolutely, absolutely mind blowing. I mean, I could talk all night long about what the graduates already doing. They're just having tremendous results with animals with each other, got an email from a mother whose son I've worked on for at least two years, all his stuff is gone. She took it home, fix him herself. And, you know, God bless her. I you know, that's, that's what I did this class for. You know, you can't fix everyone sometimes, you know, I might be, you know, console, he's the best at this right? And I can teach it to you, and you might be more resonance with that person and be better at it right off, because, you know, who knows how many angels there are right there. There are some people out there talking, you know, putting numbers on them and who gets to use them and this and that. That's all baloney. I think they're unlimited. And I think more some will listen to you more than they will meet. And that's how it's been. That's my that's clinically what I'm seeing with my graduates. So the class is, was three days long. It's It's full is mind blowing.

Every single person in there is doing it before they leave, I won't let anybody out if they're not doing it. And we're just doing some really cool stuff. You know, I just think we're doing really cool things. We're doing some group healings, we're finding that five people focusing is more powerful than 120. People focusing is more powerful than five. So we're finding it and we're able to, we're just, we're just really setting this thing up where it's absolutely fun, and absolutely amazing. And I'm all about the fun and amazing part. You know, if you saw my model somewhere, I'm done when there is no fun. And that's, that's for sure. i That's me. I don't I don't want to be here. If it's not fun anymore.

Brandon Handley 45:51 I get that for sure. For sure. When you're talking about, I guess, connecting with these angels, and, you know, being able to receive messages, would you liken that to the Akashic field? Or would you say something different?

    Dr. T 46:05 I think I, you know, I, you know, I don't know, obviously, if you're, you're talking to a farmer.

Brandon Handley 46:12 I mean, just just top of mind, right? Well, I

Dr. T 46:14 Well, I think what's happening with it with people, because, you know, I've done some of the Akashic record stuff, I've done some of the studies with that. And, you know, I never, ever found it to be powerful enough for me, and what I believe is happening, I think you're accessing consciousness. And I think that it's legitimate. It's one of the things that I'm teaching in the in the classes clairaudience, which is similar to allow the Akashic Record readings. But we're able to change these, you know, we're able to use this knowledge with these tools that I've put together to make unbelievable healthy changes in the body, we're fixing stuff is just unfixable. And so, you know, some of the people doing those kinds of readings, they're, they're hearing the messages, and many times they're able to pass them on. But Gosh, darn it, don't tell me this comes from a past life, and you can't help me with it. I mean, I hear this every single day, I'm in the office, just about I heard it this morning, you know, all those fibroids are from a past life, you know, it's like, okay, fine, did she fix them for you? Or did the person fix them for you, help you with them tell you some way to get rid of them? Right. And the funny thing was, I was actually I was actually working on past life frequencies and this woman when she said that to me. So that's also consciousness, you know, it's also us connecting and her, you know, talent, you know, me saying, you know, she's reading, she's kind of reading my mind, you know? So, you know, so in the Claire audiences, know that that occurs when you're working with somebody, you know, we're entangling with them. That's whether you're sitting in front of me, or whether you're on the other side of the planet right now. We're entangled, and you're borrowing too much information, you have to send me a check. Got a smile.

Brandon Handley 48:07 On his stuff, so do I mean, I love it. Right. Like I just, you know, I was just curious whether or not you would like it, you know, that, you know, listening and tuning into angels see classic field? I don't know, right. I don't have that experience. Neither either way, but I'm always curious what your interpretation is your look, you're using the energy, it's working. I don't have too many other questions at the end of the day, right? Like, that's me, right? What I you obviously love to learn how to do it too. Sure. But in the end of the day, if you always love the Wayne Dyer, you know, audio, that where he talks about, he's got hemorrhoids, and somebody comes up, and there's a crystal chair the points over to the crystal chair. And he says that, that chairs gonna, you know, clear your hemorrhoids. I'm gonna go sit on that chair. Right. Like, I mean, that's just that's to sit.

Dr. T 49:00 Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

Brandon Handley 49:01 So the work that you're doing, if it's working, it's working on humans is working on people working on plants, and working on pets. I think that I think that the work that you're doing super awesome. I love that you're teaching it. Is there anything else you would want to touch on in this space? At this moment? We got a little bit a couple more minutes. And I didn't know whether or not like there's anything that we hadn't touched on just said that you might want to?

Dr. T 49:24 Well, I would just say quickly about what you just talked about with the Akashic records that that I'm sure that you that if you haven't had that experience, yet, at some moment in time, you will, and you just haven't been taught how to recognize it. And it could just be something as simple thought that that's a weird thought. And that will open up that access for you more more so as you're just you know, continue doing what you're doing because you're not going to be able to help it because you're you're the spiritual don't master. And so, you know, and when it first happens, you'll you'll be you'll deny it and you'll Your contract your mind will be like, Ah, I don't think that was much and, and then you'll find out that you didn't pay attention to it and you should have you can maybe 40 had that happen, I don't know. But anyhow, pay attention for that, because I think it's going to start happening if it hasn't. The only other thing I'd like to touch on is that is I would like to mention our website is a human engineer, an engineer, calm, it has all the bells and whistles, all the stuff we have, this is why I'm out here doing this, I always I just kind of figured I would drift off into the sunset doing, you know, my stuff, one on ones, and my clients are the ones who put me up to this, Sharon's out there and she's ever hears this, she's the one who for four or five, six years will come in once a month and say, We got to find a bigger platform, you got to help more people, you got to teach this stuff. And so what we've done is we put together these programs, and so it's one of them is got your back. And so if you have any kind of pain in your back your body, I don't care if it's to top your head, back, your heels, your back your legs anywhere you get on and we do one session a week, since an hour long session for four weeks. And so and it's with 50, could be with five, it could be with 100 other people, it doesn't matter. But so we have that program, we have crazy unknown shift. We've got an emotional one coming up. I think we have migraines coming up. We've got just different these different programs. About six years ago, we did some group healings first a very short period of time. And the results were magnificently unbelievable. The hard part was we didn't have the backbone to do it. I didn't have a team of people to answer the emails to get back to run it and do all that stuff. And so I just gave up on it. Well, Sharon wouldn't stop on me. And she introduced me to Jamie, who had set all this stuff up and put this in motion. So we're doing these programs now. And if you're having difficulty, and no one's been able to help you crazy unknown shift is probably what you got. And the programs are set up so that if you don't like it, you get your money back. And there's no doctor doing any of that. I think all the money I spent over the years of my time trial and error, all the studies I've done, I'm sure I'm over a million dollars into it, and never wants to get a dime back. So if after the first hour, you're like, Yeah, nothing happened. I don't want to do this, we're sending your money back. So that's just unheard of in this field. Dad, I'm really, really proud of that. And then

Brandon Handley 52:32 the we my wife and I went out to eat dinner probably a couple weeks ago, and there was a waitress in there who had been told she was basically she was gonna die, right? bed rest for four years. And she said pretty much the same thing. Like she was obviously she was set up and walk in and she was cured by a doctor. But she said that pretty much the same thing. Like how many how many places do you go to where you pay for a service that if it doesn't work, you don't get your money back? Right where like you go to like all these different doctors like she had and like you're talking about so I think it's really great that you're offering a service that if if somebody is not satisfied with it and doesn't see the results that you're offering their money back and I think that that's that's really cool and it's definitely not something you see any other doctor practicing. So love to hear that. Dr. T, I have like one section here, right? I love to I love to play that this is almost like a spiritual speed dating, right? Like somebody is tuning in to looking for like the next spiritual date. Dr. T, you could be got a question to ask and depending on how long we go with the questions, you ready? Sure. All right. Dear, spiritual Bachelor Number one, what is the greatest quality humans possess?

Dr. T 54:00 Love being able to love, give love, receive love, experience, the feeling of love. That's the greatest quality we have without question. Love is the most important thing in our existence. Just being being alive. Hopefully, hopefully, we come in with love come in here because of love and are able to share love and leave in a loving way. That would be I think that's the most incredible thing we possess for sure.

Brandon Handley 54:29 One of the things that I find in in the spiritual space is a I guess a challenge for me is men, right like just going through and still maintaining their manhood as it were right. And so I always say that because yeah, look, I agree like love is just powerful thing, right? That once harnessed is like wirelss right and you sit in that space and you just know that that's what you're sitting in. And that's what you're being. How have you found it? To, as a male, right to experience, love and maintain your manhood, I guess for lack of better terminology. I think you understand what I'm saying.

Dr. T 55:17 Yeah, absolutely. You know, I'm young, I'm a heathen. So I'm a man's man. You know. So, you know it, you know, there's it isn't easy, I don't think it's easy. For men. You know, it really is about opening your heart, in our hearts are tend to have been, you know, men are more men are more difficult to heal than women are, help heal. And it's kind of a strange dichotomy, because men will just trudge through life and just deal with all their stuff and not not ever asked for help. And, and women, a lot of them are struggling and they're, you know, they're lovers they're want, they're just that love comes easier to women. So, as men, we need to work on it, we need to, you know, I like I like to have love around me things that say love things that know love and a wall love, love and a candle. And, and really try to tap into that frequency of love and, and see the sunset, do things that that can help instill that feeling of love within you. You know, start sunsets, see the ocean, see the mountains, go for hikes, see nature. And so you know, I think it's a it's, you know, it's not it's not easy, especially younger men. You know, as I've gotten older, it's easier, I think, to experience that and feel that. And certainly with the work I do, I'm forced to and and it's made it easier for me. And I think we were talking to you, we mentioned earlier about, you know, having to hide and well, I'm old enough now I don't have to hide anymore. I have no problem telling someone I love them. And and you know, and I don't need to hear I love you back. It's that, you know, I think with with time and experience that us men can become great lovers and can hold that space for for you know, for the feminine.

Brandon Handley 57:22 I appreciate that. Like I said that said I think that's a challenge for for men, especially right in the spiritual space or in this space sometimes to over rotate and how do you do it and and still keep your sense of your your sense of being right. So, Dr. T, thank you so much for being on today. Really appreciate the work that you're doing nothing but it's awesome. Love that you're out there. You're teaching as well. The website is human engineer.com. And when when do you sign up for the like your next round of students?

Dr. T 57:57 Oh, we're doing in March, I think I think it's the 10th 11th or Yeah, somewhere in March. I'm not sure if the dates are solidified yet, but it's all on their website somewhere thing. I'm not gonna look at that stuff. I just I just go there and deliver.

Brandon Handley 58:11 Dr. T. Thank you so much for being on today.

Welcome to the spiritual dough podcast, the show that answers the questions you never even knew to ask, but knew the answers to questions about you, this world the people in it? And most importantly, how do I proceed now moving forward? We don't have all the answers but we sure do love living in the question. Time for another head of spiritual dub with your host Brandon Handley. Let's get right into today's episode.

Brandon Handley 0:41 Hey there spiritual joke. We are on here today with Sylvain the Furies he is a video artists storyteller and independent game developer. He connected with me through our spiritual spiritual dope feedback form, you know, kind of whatever is spiritual dope. And Sylvain is created a game called onah, which is kind of like this experiential, mystical journey to I'll just call it kind of like self discovery. I'm not 100% sure how you're trying to describe the game. So we, but it looks pretty cool. It's like one of a kind. And he's currently got a Kickstarter fund going. And that's just kind of how we contacted I figured it'd be great to have a conversation with them, understand the journey that he's had and introduce them to you and maybe hopefully, get you introduced to the game that he has created. Savannah. Thanks for hopping on.

Unknown Speaker 1:37 Yeah, thank you. Thank you.

Brandon Handley 1:39 Yeah. So I mean, I typically like to start these off with Sylvain is the idea that you and I are doing. We are we're spiritual beings, right, and that the universe speaks through us. And typically the universe speaks through us and to somebody who's listening in to the podcast, I know that they're listening today to check out your game. And kind of the story behind that. Also. Maybe, maybe there's somebody else out there that's been thinking about trying to do something similar, right, lead with spirituality and do what do it do with something meaningful for them? And they, they, they're gonna get a message from you. And it can only be delivered today to them through this podcast. What is that message today? So

Unknown Speaker 2:32 a message that could deliver? I mean, I don't know yet. But I'm sure the words which came to the month when we are speaking now, like sometimes we don't plan what we say. But suddenly we say something meaningful that people receive and it can have an impact.

Brandon Handley 2:52 For sure, sure. Absolutely. That's definitely what's gonna happen in this conversation. So let's, let's talk about Spain, give us a little background into this game that you're creating called arena. What? What inspired you as far as I can tell, to take this journey, it's been a it's been a 1010 year journey. So let's, let's start somewhere that got you to travel the world to begin to create this game.

Unknown Speaker 3:20 Yeah, actually, it's not a 10 years, your journey is more 15 years journey. The thing is, like this ID popped up in my mind, like when I was a teenager, and I remember I was in a classroom. And earlier, I get decided this inspiration to create a game that could awaken the world. And that was the focus really, just this was a long time ago. So this kind of concept didn't exist that much at the time, and I felt Wow, this could walk, you know, I felt, of course, the world. Or civilization could be amazing. But a lot of things are lacking. And the sense of contemplation was something also really missing in most of the people. So somehow, people didn't perceive the beauty around, you know, didn't focus on the things that everyone was in their own mind and perceiving the things around and I kind of wanted to share that. So yeah, this was the starting point of creating a game that could focus in this on this perception of reality. So I started to write my notebooks, you know, through years. And then I was working as a graphic designer. And I quit my job to travel to investigate about all the spiritual contents around the world and finally did make me understood that the spiritual paths that have been developed since 1000s of years, reach this point of contemplation in this meditative state of mind that we could then be open and perceive things as they are, and not as we conceive them, but as our mind build them. But how are we really perceive them on the present moment? And is what I wanted to create with honor. And is what I wanted to inspire. So usually people who go to the game, sometimes, of course, they reach this state of mind, and they feel touch and realign with themselves and they feel great.

Brandon Handley 5:20 That's great that I guess I'd be curious to see if your, that just came to you, as a team. What was your background, I guess that made you so open and aware and eat to even consider an awakening process. Process,

Unknown Speaker 5:39 nothing too much. Especially, I think I was just more quiet, I don't know. And, and, through kind of experience, I think I, I remember, the certain point was when I first start to see a tree, basically, you know, when sometimes you are a bit more receptive used to you look at a tree and you you see it, this was a starting point, because I really observe all the details of the leaves, the lights, the shadow, the the movement of everything in history. And then I put my eyes on all the people around I say, Oh, nobody seeds, we nobody seeds. And this was a starting point, like, yeah, there is something to express here. There is something because what I've perceived that I felt so great, so open, so intuitive, you know, and so there is something to express there. And that could potentially add the word to, to see better.

Brandon Handley 6:34 So you're seeing all the beauty and everything that there was in the tree, and he just kind of noticed that not not too many people were really catching all the beauty that was around them and experiencing life as it was that that kind of summed up?

Unknown Speaker 6:52 Yeah, exactly. Exactly. You know, it's like when you go on holiday, and then you arrive near a beautiful landscape, some people will see it, they will really wow, see the sun the clouds and embrace the beauty of it, and some people are still looking them up and organizing the next day, you know that they're not really there, they're not really seeing, that's just this, this just this shift, you know, I think everyone of course, can really contemplate it's just, okay, a perception of, okay, we have it, we see it, you know,

Brandon Handley 7:23 it's so true. Just like you're saying, a lot of times people get to get to the get to the destination, and already there, they're not, they're not experiencing the destination at all. They're already ready for the next thing. You're saying, Okay, we got here in our planning tomorrow, we don't even we don't, it's more about like the steps that they took, and everything else than it is about the place that they've gotten to not not let themselves experience that at all. So let's talk about this journey, then, as you popped on and started traveling to different spiritual destinations. Let's talk a little bit about where you went to and what you experienced there.

Unknown Speaker 8:11 Okay, so as I told you, I was just basically working as a graphic designer was great, but I felt since the beginning that I needed to travel, actually, in order to complete this project. So yeah, I quit the job and I start first to go more as a tourist, you know, like, I was first in Japan because I was really attracted by this country. Then I switched to all the country like Cambodia to see angle, that's all the ruins, you know. And I was practicing this technique of stop motion, that are present in the game, you know, these pictures, I do one step one picture and I do 1000s and 1000s of pictures and you, you can enter in samples and really explore the urea as you are there, you know, and I was practicing there in Japan, Cambodia and things, but already the picture are great. And then they reach India. And India for me was a really shift a really mind blowing experience. Like, in the time finally, I was one year in India, going back, you know, and this really transformed me changed me. I almost lost myself because this culture this country is so then so intense that it's like a mind blow or Western world minds, you know, is is really different. So, and then I continued to do all the pictures, all the footage or around and slowly slowly finally, I collected a lot of different kind of pictures from all around. And in the same time, the concept of the game evolved, you know, so I had all my notebooks and three years of traveling I was creating this concept of owner

Brandon Handley 9:54 what was it I guess in India that blew your mind so to speak, I guess I understand that. Yes, it's an intense culture. But sounds like something really transformed you and shifted you there. What would you say happen?

Sylvain De Vreese 10:11 Yeah, nine things, of course. But you heard, of course, about the concept of synchronicity. So this coincidence weapon time, two times, you know, and it happened here, of course, all the time, like this magic of life that bring you the right circumstances, the right moments, you know, in India, for me, it was every five minutes, every five minutes, I had miracles. Like, he wasn't saying it was us so much, you know? And we some friends, were we were looking at each other, like, is it really possible? Like, is it really, you know, it was so intense, so much that things are open. And my theory about how it's possible is because in India, they believe, so everything have this open mind open frequencies to say, okay, everything is possible, my friend, and because everyone believes that things can happen, it can have happen, you know, and compared to all Western world, that people have more disclosing minds to reach for these kind of things, you know, it's not possible anything, so I believe that we can block this vibration to happen. And because, yeah, I think it's in the mind that everything can flow. And finally, is how you travel in the in this country, you you go with the flow. And if you believe your intuition, you go where you feel to, and you don't plan too much, somehow things happen. And, of course, our rich really symbolic in meaningful places during this journey, some holly montains, that many special things happen, these kind of things, you know, everyone in this country has a different kind of experience like this. And at the NFL, this is something this there is something and I believe this prove it can be can be seen again, in the in honor, you know, some people perceived again, and while they see all these pictures, and is it real, is it possible, but yes, when I saw what I experiment, what I felt, and it's kind of content in the game itself.

Brandon Handley 12:15 That's fantastic. So I love two pieces about that. One is that sounds like you were able to capture some of that essence, and put that into the game, which is fantastic. You know, just for the audience, and I also also love the I get it, I get what you're saying, in terms of being open to those vibrations, if you're surrounded by other people who believe then then it's more than likely, it's more possible for the sake of people that are checking checking in. So what you what would be like one or two, what you would consider a miracle that you might be able to share.

Unknown Speaker 13:01 Yeah, I could share. But of course, miracles are really personal, in a way of you explain them, they lose their impact and power, you know, is really a special thing I can I can give examples here and just for fun, but again, it's just I also ation,

Brandon Handley 13:17 and I get it like, how often do we share, like what we would see as Americans somebody wants to somebody wants to explain it away, like, Oh, that was just coincidence, or Oh, that was just the same but like to us, right? We say Well, no, you understand, like, stand like this is this experience could only be a miracle could only be a miracle right to you. And I get that I get that so I understand.

Unknown Speaker 13:43 And also the accumulation of all these things, you know, I can tell which one I could start with lightning let's say this like the for me the lightning the storm was kind of following me at some points. And I don't know why for which reason, but wherever I go in the country, I knew that in few days of massive storm will happen and lightning will be there and it happens and in a way in circumstances that you suddenly you know, you look suddenly at the same they're lightning appears just at this right moments, you know, and it's one time and several times and then what's this and then it's have a huge impact and and meaning and this is one thing okay, I could explain more details against the personal and other things. And this is even more obvious that was in lead deck is really not India, kind of Himalaya with the Buddhist you know, the Lila was there. And all the monks were doing a ceremony in the mountains. And they were singing old mantra and all this music and you know, really powerful vibration. People were shaking. Everyone was weird and shaking strong. You know, energy was really, really high. And it was blues sky with the sun in the middle. And suddenly during in the middle of the ceremony, like a circle of rainbow appears all around the sun during the ceremony, and so you everyone was shaking in the probably was really intense. And the ceremony was important and ceremony. And the next day I remember, my energy was so strong, and I could do all my exercise like 2010 times more, you know, it was something like this. So miracle not, I don't know, but it's a tiny example of many things happen, I could have other examples like this, you know. And, yeah, this by accumulation made me think there is something we can open, there is vibration by we can, you know, like, enhance the energy and, and feel something almost magical.

Brandon Handley 15:50 You know, just, I think that, I think being able to kind of have that experience of the storm, following you. I've been in similar experiences myself, is pretty, pretty cool, right? Just knowing that the storm is there, and where it's gonna be, and it's part of part of your life. And then this other experience of kind of joining with all the monks and lamas, and then having having that circular rainbow, but the power of the collective, right, the vibration kind of running through your body is also you know, the vibration that's being created by all those around you. And being open to it. You can feel the energy of a surge. This is what it's kind of like when humanity comes together for a singular purpose. for the betterment of good, you have a raised vibration yourself, and an energetic level that it's just through the roof, right? There's this kind of what I'm hearing, and that's miraculous to experiences. One reason is because we rarely get to experience that, but then to experience it, knowing that that's kind of an I defer to you. But that's that's what experience, that's what humanity is about. It's coming together and pooling our energy for some of these amazing singular experiences, but it could happen all the time if we if we love it, right. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 17:25 And it's through here. Sometimes we know we do kind of circle and little ritual, and we seem together. And already the the energy is different. Now we feel more connected. And wow, it's the air. The light can difference because the energy field, I don't know, I have no theory exactly. I don't know, actually, what's happening now I'm not. But obviously, we feel different than them more connected. And in this stage, miracles could happen, little things, that okay, we have the right things at the right moment. And because all together, we increase the energy in a circle, you know, yeah, no attention. And he is true that, unfortunately, we are seen in civilization, we are still in the age that it doesn't happen that much. Because the logic of our system for how we organize our lifestyle is a bit more individual. So we go in the streets. And you know, we are more in our minds. Sure, we are not connecting with everyone all around. But there is something to do there. And I don't know how to organize this in a massive scale in our society. But it could be interesting and amazing to reach that point. Because I don't know what could happen, but probably crazy, beautiful things.

Brandon Handley 18:36 For sure, for sure. For sure. I think there's definitely potential, there's definitely I love that you hit the we work from a logical mind or imaging from a linear mind. And I think that, as you experienced in India, and as you've experienced your, your, your journey, we know that this isn't linear, right? But when we tell a story, we have to tell it in a linear way that so that the mind can follow a timeline, right? So the mind can kind of put it all together. But in reality, it happens in from all around, right? There's no There's no absolute linearity to it, just how to tell the story so that somebody can follow it.

Unknown Speaker 19:20 Yeah, exactly. Actually, I had a talk with a friend recently. And the conclusion was these like in India, not only in India, but he was really present there for me. They perceive things differently. And that's the thing is like, as as Westerners we have been educated in one way or mine have been a bit rigid in one way. We are efficient on many things. So we don't deny this you know, we are efficient, some such things is great. But for this perception of things, it seems that they perceive things differently. And it's true when we go there, the observers as empty on that aspect. They see that we are no logic mind. Calculating loads and organizing things, but the perception is quite different on that aspects if if I make myself understand what

Brandon Handley 20:11 percent I get, I get that so. So you know, you can't you put all this together and weakening game. Let's talk a little bit about what that experience might be like, for somebody that's out there. Like I said, just kind of trying to figure that out what, what is an awakening game? And what does the name owner mean? Me?

Unknown Speaker 20:38 Nah, I mean, first of all one. So the first one also from his first real strong project was one unity is also referred actually to Noah's Ark, you know, this myths of Noah's Ark who go transmitted here the life form, but Noah's Ark, because the knowledge all this content could be transmitted to further generations. That was kind of the intention. And Noah, I mean, it's also kind of the name of my cat because my cat scan is named Noah. And it's just I took this name I think it's okay. And so what was your other question is like home yeah, receive it?

Brandon Handley 21:33 Yeah. How would you know play in the awakening game before? How would you describe that to somebody that isn't even on the spiritual path the spiritual path

Unknown Speaker 21:45 um, so Israel I observed reaction when I want to show the game to tiny exhibition there most of the people really well gets totally immersed in it and they feel after the experience they feel wow, something happened there. You know, I have most of it this I have some people who kind of cried it's for Israel but of course it's happened it's like they cried because they exactly so when they need it needed to see at that moment, you know, it kind of unlock something in them. And this affiliates assimilate a bit like this concept of tarot cards, you know, the game or now you can see whatever you you choose your path, so everyone will see different things. So sometimes it could happen that you receive exactly the content you need, because you click on the on the choice you need to receive you know. So it's moved something inside, and also it realigns your meditative state of mind. So people who go through it the feel aligned, we could even I could showcase this in the tiny party or something. And after that people are feeling Wow, they feel balanced, right and centered. And good, you know, and the first kind of reaction I had is really rare, but it's happened some people and I know that these people won't like it is rare, but they quit before the end of the game. They, they they cannot they don't want to you know, some people are resistant to this kind of vibration to it. Some people are you know it because it, it could move things. So, understand I agree, some people are not ready or I don't know the oils not on their pass. Maybe they don't need that at that moment, at that moment of their life. But definitely awakening game for me is moving something inside that realign us, you with yourself. You know.

Brandon Handley 23:45 I love that description. That idea. And I think that that is the awakening. That is the wakening is awakening, to find out who you are. Right? Get get into contact with yourself. And I always used to make fun of course, you know, look, man, at one point made fun of people like What do you mean to go on a search for yourself? You're right there. Right. And the whole idea of the concept of finding out who you are, yeah, you're right. There, there are people that just aren't ready. They're in that phase of their life right now to to experience that or to be with it. And and that's okay. That's okay. I'm sure I'm sure. I'm sure you've heard the I guess the Buddha's line about the blood of a flower right you don't you know, you don't go to a bud but of a flower and squeeze its head to make it to make it bloom and blossom. He can't. Right. And I think that that's a similar situation here, right? You're putting you're putting someone into an accelerated growth state. And and it's awesome if that person's ready for it. But if it's not an efficient Is not it could actually could actually make it slow down for them. Right. And in either way I love I love the idea and the concept. Again looking looking for what's the side? So sorry, interrupt. Go ahead. Yeah, so half a house a couple of Yeah. Yeah,

Unknown Speaker 25:18 no. So wanted to say that on a larger scale, I would like to make the project evolve and also expressed some topics that in my vision matters. So some topic who could show so the you know, the the confusion, we are confusing. So we express what's going on more and more in the world, not not concerning the current situation since two years actually even more even before that was intention, like show how, as human species, we are still weirdly divided and confused. And we don't know what's the purpose of things. I also want to express that. And also, I wanted to add something of what you say is like, finding ourselves to the game is like, it's not mental. So I don't give any clue about who we are. Actually, they I believe just that finding yourself go through. Yeah, empty mind. You know, this meditative presence. Okay, we just good. And here we can feel or self more than knowing or self. And that's what I try to reach. With with the experience. Yeah.

Brandon Handley 26:31 Sounds like now's like getting getting you kind of out of your out of your mind and into your heart and into your heart.

Unknown Speaker 26:39 Maybe Yeah, just hearts. Yeah, exactly. The heart

Brandon Handley 26:43 of it. Would you say that this game would be able to help somebody to find their purpose.

Unknown Speaker 26:51 Beats may happen, of course, but like a song, or a movie could have someone to film their purpose. So yeah, this game could as well definitely

Brandon Handley 26:59 better. I love that. I love that this is an evolution, evolutionary project for you. So it's ongoing. It doesn't just stop is. And I think that the awakening process is like that, too. Right. The awakening process. I think a lot of people think that once you've awakened, or once you awakened that you're done, right, like, Oh, I've gotten to this place. No, you just started, right? Like this is this is kind of a new beginning. So and then I think that if I understand correctly, you're working with your brother on this project, right? As he's doing, he's doing the music. What's it like working with your brother on this project? Project?

Unknown Speaker 27:42 Yeah, it's great. I mean, so he does all the sound design music and also we brainstorm at the end to make the product the best English finishing the best, you know, for the, for the details to have the best quality as possible. And that's great, because it seems that I can, I can claim that I could be really good for visuals and these things, you know, and he bring all the sound design in a perfect way. And of course, we exchange to have the best quality but it's enhanced, definitely the quality like it creates the experience even stronger. Like people say that the visuals are amazing, but the sound design is just incredible. And finally all together like crazy, strong, immersive experience. So that's the point Yeah, it was great to work with him really really nice because it's like it's not that we are the same mind but we understand what's needed to to be for this project you know

Brandon Handley 28:49 that's pretty cool. It's pretty cool. So you've got only got about seven days left on your Kickstarter project right? Which is where people can go to find out more about this game they can get to download they get the little bit dig a little bit more of the backstory there. Where can they go? Go to find out more about this game?

Unknown Speaker 29:13 And the moment Yeah, for seven days the Kickstarter page of course, for me is a priority obviously. And after that the website Official website is called What do you see dotnet

Brandon Handley 29:24 What do you see that that? What are your plans I guess past you know, Kickstarter, what happens if you get to Kickstarter for the scammer for this game?

Unknown Speaker 29:33 Okay, so I think I will try to go if it's possible, of course, in Mexico for the pyramids, things and then Egypt also in the same purpose, the ruins pyramids, the the beginning of civilizations and you know, meaningful visuals, then I think I will reach some cities. I'm here in Berlin activity at the moment and I also want to including on our Something more, a bit dark that it is something more about the confusion. And, you know, for now the experience is really magic and uplifting and wow, mystic and beautiful. I want to switch also to different aspects of things and show different vibes different atmosphere to how we feel, you know. And so I want to, to investigate and try a lot of things in that aspect. And I also want to create more visual painting, like interactive paintings, you know, kind of puzzle games, contemplative puzzle games and, and working on that, to create this game, like with a lot of different kinds of doors, we can open

Brandon Handley 30:44 that, I think that's pretty cool. So you're looking to go to South America, Egypt and other spaces to continue to build on the map of experiences that you've already built on, say, India and Japan, and add those into the game making this kind of a global global experience. And then the idea of Yeah, look, I mean, there's lots of great things in spirituality. But there's also the dark darkness and the emotions that sometimes we neglect the are inherent to who we are not only as people, but as an overall global civilization. So it's really cool that you're going to begin to be working to, to incorporate that into into the rest of the game. So we

Unknown Speaker 31:36 need to see though, yeah, yeah.

Brandon Handley 31:39 So what else? Is there anything else? I guess I'm gonna make this kind of a short one, so that we can get this out of the people? Is there anything else I guess, about the game? Or what people are experiencing? Oh, that was one more question Was your family, you know, how's your family feel about this project, when you told them what you were going to do versus kind of where you are? Now love to hear what that is?

Unknown Speaker 32:02 Good question. I mean, that's, that's strange. I they never understood. So I had to fight by myself all these years, they start to understand slowly, I guess, is just like this, you know, sometimes people have different mindset, it's how it's meant to be. And still love is there, you know, are good, but for the content itself is like, they finally kind of trust it. They trust me is fine. I had resources is fine, but never really get into it to understand until recently, actually. And I think they are happy that they see me progressing my quest, my dream and go for it after all these years and holding on, you know, and we'll see know how, how it goes? Yeah.

Brandon Handley 32:53 Eggs, I think that's one of the things on the spiritual journey on the spiritual path, when when you kind of open yourself up to it and you start to go to do these things, you start to have the conversations with those people that are close to you. There may not be like a deep understanding, right? And there may be this, this this rush to kind of keep you safe. Well, I don't know. Maybe go back to me a graphic arts designer, at least that stable and you can make money there, right.

Unknown Speaker 33:20 It's a different generation. And we are lucky no to have internet and to have things to open. We can travel, we can have these experiments. And this generation often is the same things. And the parents can have their mindsets. The lifestyle. I understand. I agree. I don't want to interfere. It's fine. Of course, we had conversation and things but it doesn't matter. I don't have to be right. You know, it's, it's just how it is. And if love is the it's fine, you know?

Brandon Handley 33:53 Fantastic. So over on the Kickstarter, I'll put a link out there for that. And then if you go over to what to see. Net, that's one word we can find out about you got connections there. I asked for Facebook and all the social media platforms are so people will be able to connect with you there. Seven days left in the game. I'm feeling senses later. Hopefully you've gotten hopefully you've gotten all your funding, and hopefully you're able to continue to develop and release the game. Thanks for being on today. So

Brandon Handley 0:41 Hey, there's spiritual dope. We are on here today with Amy Dean. She is a certified clinical trauma counselor and an ascension coach. She helps driven empathetic women struggling with self criticism and not feeling good enough to heal their inner child wounds so that they can live an authentic spiritually awakened life true to their souls. Two things here for you, Amy, first of all, thanks for having a short bio. Second, you know, happy to have you here. And I appreciate it. I know we try to connect you. You see you travel, kind of around a good bit last time you and I tried to connect, we weren't able to have a strong connection but happy to you know, reconnect. Right? Sometimes we set these, we set these up and we don't connect and then we never hear from each other again. So, so glad we're able to, to to to pick it back up. Thanks for being here today.

Amie Dean 1:31 Yes, thank you. It really is truly a pleasure to be here. And thank you for being so flexible too. I know I do travel often and just did a four corners tour of the US over the past year and back where we started from. So now this is just the new beginning so to speak.

Brandon Handley 1:49 Freight, and you're you're out in San Diego right now. Is

Amie Dean 1:51 that right? I'm in San Diego. Yes. And this is home base. This is where you know, when I call home? Yeah.

Brandon Handley 1:58 Yeah, fantastic. So I like to start this off with the whole idea that you and I are spirituals for universal energy, like we're the vessels where, you know, that energy is expressed. Right? And the idea is that you and I are going to have a conversation here today, you and I will, we'll have our dialogue and we'll try we'll figure it out. And then there's going to be somebody else who's listening today, that's going to pick something totally different out of what we talked about. And it's gonna be exactly what that person needs, maybe for their awakening, maybe to pick themselves off the ground through an awakening or you know, not not be so you know, not be so taken aback by their awakening, and what you know, just what is that message today that's coming through you for that person?

Amie Dean 2:46 Yeah, I love how you put that, by the way to that it's, it's almost like this is the channel, right, and people are getting exactly what they need in the moment. So I would say the biggest message is that we all have an inner child, and this inner child within us, it's natural state is to be innocent and playful and loving, and completely in tune with the joy that we are naturally. But sometimes we have these wounds. And most people I would say have wounds, you know whether or not you've been through trauma, although of course trauma can make a huge impact on the you know, I would say the depth of wounds that an injured inner child part might carry. But with that being said, it's totally 100% healable to work through these wounds that the inner child carries. And often we don't necessarily see this as a stepping point on the spiritual awakening journey. Sometimes, you know, we might go to therapy, for example, and just work on our past or heal certain memories. But it really does keep us stuck. These wounds keep us stuck on the spiritual awakening path. So I'd love to impart some insights around that today and how to work through those wounds to heal them so we can awaken to our true nature as love and joy.

Brandon Handley 3:57 Sure, sure. Would you would you say that these trauma wounds are often blocking us from our spiritual awakening.

Amie Dean 4:09 Absolutely, yeah, I would say they are. And, you know, and also this is maybe a little bit, you know, often the left field a little bit, but I would say that when we even work to heal our trauma, this is on a conscious level, right? We're coming to it on a sense of, Oh, I know, I have this memory or I have this belief and it's keeping me stuck. And so we're coming to therapy, for example, or coaching or whoever, you know, we end up you know, moving through this kind of growth experience. But we don't always know exactly sometimes what is causing our triggers, you know, on a subconscious level. And so there can be some subconscious wounding, you know, I hear a lot from from people when they come to see me it's something like, you know, I've worked through this before, I don't know why, you know, I still have these triggers in my relationship, for example, or why I you know, still feel like, I'm just not happy, you know, in the way that I thought I could be after healing these wounds. And sometimes there's some subconscious factors there that could be keeping, you know, person from really knowing their wounds, and knowing exactly what that inner child might be going through within their within their heart.

Brandon Handley 5:14 Right. Yeah, I mean, there's there's a lot there for sure. Just trying to understand. Even accessing that inner child can be a challenge, right? That admitting that there's an inner child there, and then I'm sure there's plenty people will be like, I'm not wounded. I'm fine. But I think that everybody's got a little bit of something. Right? Even if it's just a nice grape, right, address it? I think, and I don't know, would you call would you call doing this type of work similar to shadow work? Are they one of the same? Are they different yet?

Amie Dean 5:47 Oh, no, that's a really great point, it is absolutely shadow work, I would say on the deepest level, can give you an example to I'm glad you brought up you know how to access the inner child or just, you know, the difficulty in accessing it sometimes. And I would say that it is a little bit more difficult on your own. But when you're working with someone directly, whether it's a friend or you know, a therapist or a coach, it can be really helpful to have somebody to see you right, And to see these different aspects of you showing up. But you know, for example, I, you know, I have clients, sometimes they'll come to our session, and they'll say, I have nothing to talk about today. And there's nothing going on, and I'm feeling pretty good, actually, everything's going fairly well, I mean, it's not great, but it's not bad. And then you know, we'll do a little bit of digging, and we'll start to, you know, go into meditation, meditation is a really big help in activating the inner child and getting to know her, or him or, you know, whichever, you know, also, the inner child can show up, as, you know, as an animal, sometimes, too, right? There's so many different ways that this inner child shows up within us. And so when we are looking at this inner child, sometimes, you know, it shows up out of nowhere, you know, in that moment in our work together, where that little, you know, little person inside says, I just need more love, or I'm not getting the kind of experience that I need right now. Or I need a break, or I'm tired of working so hard, or whatever that might be for that person. And typically, my client is taken back by it, I see the look of surprise on their face, their eyebrows are raised, and they're confused. Like, I didn't know, this was happening inside of me, I thought that everything was actually okay. And then tears, you know, sometimes will come out and they'll, you know, recognize that that's that little, you know, little self inside coming out and trying to trying to heal, trying to move through the wounding, just by being in contact with, you know, that person's higher self. And then that's a lot of the work that I do is helping people contact their higher self so they can connect with their inner child.

Brandon Handley 7:42 Sure, no, I think that's pretty. One of the things that I noticed and doing some of this work, is exactly what you're saying, we were really good at lying to ourselves. I'm fine. I'm great. I'm doing I'm doing everything I need to be doing. And it's when it's when you have somebody else out there asking you that second question, it could be your spouse, you know, it could be anybody that's willing to kind of ask you the second questions. But typically, we're really good at lying to ourselves, and we feel like we're just fine. And it's not until somebody asks you what's beyond that question. Another thing that I found is that we've got a narrative that we don't realize that there are holes in, right, and we go and we share that narrative with, with a coach such as yourself, or somebody that, you know, that that we're working with. And that and those questions that there's that plank hole in the narrative, they get asked, and we're like, Oh, my God, I didn't even realize like, that was missing. I've been driving around with three wheels, right? Instead of four type of thing. So very cool. What What, um, you know, I'd love to talk about the journey to where you are today to the work that you're doing. So how did you find yourself in this line of work? Start wherever you want?

Amie Dean 9:03 Yeah, what a great question. So I would say that I've always been drawn to, you know, I could even start really young, I was six years old, teaching my little sister to read. And I was thinking, I'm going to be a teacher someday. This is what I'm going to do. I just knew it and not in the way of course, that I am a teacher now. But as time went on, I realized I have something to share, I have something I want to, you know, impart to others and I really felt like a helper. And for a while there, I didn't know what that looked like. And I didn't know what that would exactly feel like, but I decided, you know, to become a coach. It just realized, you know, it just feels right. I feel like I just enjoy talking with people in this way. And I was helping, you know, my friends would come to me naturally, you know, and and ask for advice. And I realized, okay, maybe I have a knack for this and decided to become a coach and did some coaching training and then realize I had a client actually, who changed things for me pretty dramatically. This client came to me with a lot of mental health issues and a lot of challenges that they were seeing a therapist for, and then seeing me separately as their coach. And I learned a lot from her in the recognition that the coaching work I was doing was really limited as much as I wanted to help, you know, heal mind body spirit, and I felt there was a huge integrative connection with that I just didn't have the skills, I didn't have the resources, you know, as a coach. So I decided, okay, this matters to me, I know, there's absolutely need to have a much bigger picture, I think, you know, in order to understand how to heal, and how to work through things, not just on, you know, the spiritual, emotional level. But I think if I understand the mental, you know, side of things, the psychological side, then it would make a big difference for me. So I looked into going to graduate school, and I thought, you know, what, I'm going to become a psychotherapist, and I'm going to make this work. And I moved from Florida to California, and went to school, at a really small transpersonal more holistic psych psychotherapy School. And from there, I realized that this was my path that I was always meant to integrate psychology and spirituality together, and then spent, you know, a couple years really, you know, learning therapy and what that was like, and understanding, you know, the holistic side of that too, which was excellent, which 100% connects with coaching in that way. But then I realized, I really want to do coaching still. So then I just began doing both and realize there's, there's a way you can do that. So I think, you know, it just took me some time to realize that clients had certain need, right for Mind Body Spirit connection, and I didn't have the skills at the time to do that. But after, you know, going to therapy school, realize that that was going to make a big difference, I think for the clients that I was going to work with. And, of course, you know, I want to mention, you know, something important to you just in a vulnerable way, I had to go through a lot of my own trauma healing in, you know, during this journey. So as I was talking with that client, you know, we're winding back to that coaching client, I recognized in her you know, there was some mirroring trauma showing up in me, and I realized, you know, I thought that was healed, I thought I had healed my own trauma around this. And it brought up, you know, a lot of triggers for me. And so it was a journey. It wasn't just a how do I learn to help others heal, but through that, it was learning how to truly heal myself. And it was something it was a journey I never, ever could have anticipated. But I discovered, you know, who I really am through that process. So I know that it's a long journey, but I think that kind of sums up, you know, the main points of it.

Brandon Handley 12:38 Right now it does, and it's great that you you already knew at a young age that hey, you wanted to help and kind of facilitate others learning and coming along their journeys. And, you know, so you go to a psychotherapist route, and then you end up at this transpersonal holistic school, I've never even heard of such a thing. So I love I love that idea. Can you talk a little bit more about what that education was like? Because, again, when I think of somebody going to a psychotherapist school, I think of like this kind of this, I don't know, what was called clinical studies, you know, that type of thing, white jacket, and when you say transpersonal holistic school, I think burning sage and you know, dreamcatchers. So, yeah, so I'd love to know, just like a little bit of how those two merged for you. And I mean, what drew you more to the spiritual side versus going straight clinical?

Amie Dean 13:38 Ooh, yeah, that's good one, too. So I went to so the school I went to is called Sofia University in Palo Alto, California. And the school itself is kind of like a cohort model. And it's very different. You're right. It's not like the white wall clinical ideas, sit in a classroom and you know, listen to a lecture kind of thing. It was more overall sitting in a circle together. And it was a very small cohort, you know, of, you know, sometimes even five people in a classroom, and it was very experiential. And we did a lot of art therapy and getting to know ourselves through meditation, and then using other kinds of therapy that you probably wouldn't have heard, you know, wouldn't hear us most times, like internal family systems, or psycho synthesis and all these different, you know, they're just pointing to understanding that there is a core self, and there's an OS in here, you know, that's beyond our personality that's beyond who we think we are. And so you're right, there was, you know, this idea of the burning of stage and, you know, and understanding, you know, how to actually bring, you know, crystals into some of the work that we do, and, you know, a very deep level, it was very connective, right, it was more of a relational experience, you know, with therapy and understanding, you know, our approach. And you know, more so than here's, you know, here's what you need to learn. Now go out and kind of make that a reality. It was more like you're going to learn it here. You're going to get the experience here. And you're going to take that right into the next mixed into the next stage of your therapy work. So it felt more integrative for me, you know, just bringing that all together, we did a lot of, you know, inner somatic body work and understanding how our body, you know, connects with our mind and our spirit and really getting a hold on who we are, as therapists, you know, not so much as this is what a therapist is, right? If that makes sense, a little bit more of an eye and identity, you know, experience around that. So that was that was that school? And I would say, I would never ever go back and no regrets around that. I think that that was exactly what I needed. And leading up to why I went there. And my spiritual journey, you know, to get there was, you know, I've so I'm definitely an empath, I've always been very highly sensitive. So I've always picked up on emotions of others, you know, quite frequently, and it really caused me a lot of anxiety growing up. So I had a lot of anxiety as a young child had no idea how to manage it, or how to cope with it. And so as time had gone on, you know, I realized that I was also having the psychic experiences, in addition to the anxiety. And so then I was really freaked out, of course, right as a young child, and no understanding as to what that means, you know, I'm seeing my grandmother who had passed in the living room, and I'm having anxiety getting up every day. And so I just didn't really know how to sort through the experience, but I felt a draw. Anyway, I felt a draw to how do I figure this out? Who, who is this enemy, or what's happening inside of me. And that's when I, you know, started embarking on, you know, a totally different journey than my upbringing, which was Christian at the time. And at that point, realized, I would say, maybe in my late teens, it didn't really, you know, connect with my needs. It wasn't something that was really helping me thrive and understand who I am as a soul. And so I would say at that point, started looking into different spiritual books. And, you know, leaders such as Neale Donald Walsch was a really big life changer for me, you know, I would say, Abraham, you know, Hicks, that kind of, you know, experience to more manifestation Louise Hay, all these different authors really gave me an understanding that there's more to life than what we see and what we experienced. And then my anxiety started to subside. And I started to feel better. And I started to understand my psychic abilities a lot more and realize, okay, I'm different, maybe I'm not the same as a lot of people I know. But it's not bad, different, right. So I had to learn through that, you know, that it was just who I am. And a lot of other people were also struggling with that as well out there. And I'm feeling empathic and not knowing what to do with it. So that led me to, you know, this, obviously, the, the long journey led me to discovering who I am really, truly feeling who I am, and having a clear sense of, you know, self awareness within. And then I decided, this is my path. This is number one for me. I just felt this was my purpose. And it was like, nothing could shake that. Nothing could shake the knowing that this is my purpose now, to awaken spiritually and to help others do the same. Yeah.

Brandon Handley 18:12 So lots of lots in there. Right. All good stuff. A couple things that I want to hit on is you mentioned integrative, quite a bit. And I believe that one of the biggest challenges that we have, especially in western civilization's last culture, is our ability to integrate spirituality, with everyday life, you know, we, we've got this spiritual life, and then we've got like this, this other life, and I was listening to I was listening to Alan Watts the other day, and he was talking about Hinduism. How, in Hinduism, that's the same, like there's there's no separation. Right? So what you know, when you say integrative, what do you what do you mean by that? And is it along those lines? And is that kind of some of the work that you're trying to do is get people to integrate their spirituality with the whole of who they are? Yes,

Amie Dean 19:09 yes. Excellent. That is exactly what I'm pointing to. It's really all about, how can we stop separating our life? Right? How can we actually start to see that in our spiritual life or a meditative life, right is the same as our everyday life, right? The life where we have to do list of so many things you have to check off every day, and responsibilities, right, that are absolutely 100% needed. And what I find through this is mindfulness. I'm also a mindfulness teacher. So I'm a huge proponent on helping to bring people to this understanding that the more mindful we can be, the more we can bring spirituality into our everyday life and integrate it more. And that doesn't look like for example, necessarily sitting on a meditation cushion for 30 minutes a day, getting up and then doing the rest of your day and then going to bed and feeling exhausted right by the end of the day. But it's more of how do I want to start my day mindfully? What does that look like for each person, maybe you know, for each person, it's more of an informal mindfulness practice of, I'm going to make my coffee, right with awareness, I'm going to smell that cup of coffee, I'm going to really be with it, I'm going to find gratitude in the moment of it. And I'm going to do my sitting meditation, maybe, but the rest of the day, I'm going to make an intention to really notice what's happening, in my mind, what's happening in my body, what's showing up for me right now, and how can I tend to that compassionately, as I go through the day, because that's huge, I think, too, you know, if we can be compassionate with ourselves, then we can, you know, bring the spiritual dimension into our everyday life, because that's the dimension of love, right? Helping us to reconnect with with who we are.

Brandon Handley 20:47 Now, that's, I mean, that's solid, right? So just bring it all in, I think another piece to that you're talking about you, you're bringing in the mindfulness, you're talking about the meditation. To me, it sounds like you're talking about overall wellness, which is kind of what's meant by holistic, and, you know, if you if you would just say whole self, right, or, or all of these things that you know, are generally going to benefit you as a holistic practice versus I think what we look at as the acute doctor, you know, we go to a doctor, you get, you know, you they work on, oh, your hand hurts, we've got a specialist for that, and, and for that person, everything's going to be about the hand, right? Because that's what they specialize in for them, you know, the hammer nails thing. And then, and then I love the idea to, you know, setting the intentions and you said 10 to it, which I like, I like the 10 to it versus nurturing piece. A lot of people are always talking about you got to nurture this, you got to nurture that nurture, nurture, nurture. That's great. Yeah, you got to nurture to a lot of things. But when you tend to your garden, you, you know, you sometimes you pull some weeds, right? Sometimes you got to sometimes you got to clear some space, sometimes you got to make way for the things that you are nurturing. And in the hole, you're tending to it. So I think that that's a great, great word to use. And then I have a great point. I mean, a question I've been asked before, and I'm really curious, what's your, what's your, what's your take is on it is what would you say the differences, you brought up the word awareness? And we're talking about mindfulness. But what would you say the difference between those two are?

Amie Dean 22:22 Yeah, oh, great. So I would say that mindfulness of being mindful is just simply paying attention to the present moment, you know, and what's happening in the now, right. So for example, it's hearing the sounds in the room, right? Or feeling yourself in the chair, it's just being mindful of what's happening moment by moment. And that, you know, in my experience, anyway, creates self awareness. So mindfulness kind of leads to self awareness. And self awareness would be you know, acknowledging, oh, there's thoughts in here that maybe really don't connect, you know, with who I really feel myself to be. Right. As you mentioned, I love that metaphor around the garden, right, tending to the garden in this way. And it's, I mean, if every day we were to wake up and say, Okay, I've got a garden, right, in one way, and this garden has some weeds in it, because I'm human. And that happens. And I might need to, you know, work through that today. But how can I tend to that garden, right, the inner garden, so to speak, as I go throughout my day, you know, noticing those weeds tending to them, as you mentioned, right? Just being with them, and not maybe no, often we're tend, we tend to be in a rush, right? We tend to be busy, we tend to try and make things happen as quickly as we can. Because we want to get more done, right? It's just our culture in many ways. But we're missing that attending right to ourselves, when we're doing that when we're so doing focused instead of being focused, right? And so the more being focused we can be, which is, you know, simply being mindful, then we are truly, you know, gaining self awareness and understanding more of what's happening inside because that's the first step towards healing the inner child or any, you know, any kind of healing truly self awareness, because without that, we're gonna get lost, right? We're gonna be walking in circles and we're going to keep running through the same old cycles that have kept us stuck right in the past.

Brandon Handley 24:08 Not for sure, I mean, I think that's a great way great way of putting it so I appreciate that and then you also threw in there the idea of you know, we're so busy like I gotta I gotta do this I've got to run it the next day. I've got a good day but busy doesn't always and we equate busy Yeah, working on the things with being productive. Right and sometimes right sometimes going back to the garden right? Like you don't rip out you don't rip out the you don't rip out the you know, the corn to see if it's growing right you don't you don't rip it out. Take a look at the roots to see if it's growing you leave it flip kind of suicide thing and you sit back and know again that you've got to do these other pieces in order to let it go ahead and be one of the things I want to touch on too is you know you brought up a Christian background. Also notice that you do Akashic work you doing all this? Other work again, you're smudging, you've got dreamcatchers you've got like all these other things going on how's your family take, you know, kind of where you're focused at right now? Because I think a big part of, of doing these journeys and getting into this space, sometimes we meet with resistance from family or friends who were like, What do you mean, you're doing this and this, like, you're putting a position to the fan, like your purpose and what you feel like your purpose is? Right? So what was that journey? Like for you?

Amie Dean 25:29 Oh, yeah, that was a journey. So I will tell you that I know at first so one thing about my family is that they are very open minded. So that's a positive. Now my mom was not very open minded. At first, she was more, you know, your, towards Christianity and trying to help me, you know, kind of pivot my way back a little bit, you know, as I've as I've grown through this journey, but my dad was always 100% open, he's like, tell me more about this. Let's read the spiritual books together, you know, oh, the Akashic records, let's do a reading. So I think his kind of openness, you know, and his, his true curiosity around it was something that helped me to recognize that it's okay for me to explore these things. And I know not everyone has that, you know, like one parent or a friend or somebody that says, go for it, you know, what do you have to lose figure, you know, figure out what works for you kind of thing, right? And my mom was on the opposite spectrum. She's like, don't do that, you know, that's a sin. And you can't, you can't read that book, and you can't do those things. And so it was there was like, a push pull on me for a while, like, Dad is good, I'm good with this mom is not so good with this, right? And I had to kind of move through this experience of how do I be fully authentic with myself, right? Well, not, you know, creating chaos in my family around this. And over time, you know, for a while there, I just had to learn how to speak my truth and be authentic with my mom and, and really just share with her my experience of it and and also help her to see that didn't negate her experience, right? That it's okay for her to feel the way she feels and to have her Christian beliefs and to really connect with those, and that they're really not all that different. There's just different perspectives around it, right. And so she opened up a lot, I think, after a few years, she realized, Oh, this is just who my daughter is now. And I have to kind of accept that. And so there was acceptance piece that she was coming to around it. And then she'd say things to me like, well tell me more about that, you know, I want to know more about that retreat you went on, or that shamanic death and dying workshop that you did, you know, it's like, things like that, where, I mean, my mom would never have asked that. So I could tell that she was growing through my process of growth. And I tend to see that often with the clients I work with too. And in their family, sometimes it'll mirror their experience when they're healing, eventually, there's pushback, you know, and there usually is, you know, some difficulty or a lot of difficulty, and how other people, you know, experience your experience. But sometimes there's a mirroring effect, where you can start to realize that, oh, other people, actually, you know, they're growing with me, we're growing together through this, it doesn't mean we're always going to be on the same page. But it does mean that sometimes, you know, we can come together a bit more. And so my mom still has her same beliefs, you know, she's not going to the other side, necessarily with me, but she is so open to it. And she just tells me, you know, how happy she is for me that on all my purpose, and then I'm living my dream, and then I'm doing the things that really matter to me. And it took a while for her to get there. It really did. And it wasn't something I was really holding out for, you know, as I was doing, you know, my own trauma healing work, I realized, you know, what, my mom's approval, right, of course, as I was going through this, and recognized, you know, what is it's actually okay for my mom to be where she is right now with this. And for me to be where I am with this because I have to, I have to do my own healing work with that. So this is important for me. And I think over time, my mom just recognized that it was okay for me to be who I am. Because she loved me anyway. Okay, not everyone's gonna have that experience. I think, you know, of course, but having, like you mentioned a good friend, or maybe your spouse or something like that can make a huge impact. And I'll also add in that my spouse is not he is not necessarily, you know, involved in the same things I am, you know, he's not like, oh, yeah, let's go to a meditation retreat this weekend. You know, but he's 100% supportive. And I think that's the difference, right? We just need to have at least a few people in our lives, who are kind of our cheerleaders, right? They're like, I'm here for you, you've got this. And, and, you know, I love you for who you are. Because that touches on the wound, you know, the people who don't love us for who we are, then we activate our shame wound of our inner child right around not being good enough. And it can absolutely hinder our spiritual journey, right? And maybe even you know, make us decide that we don't even want to, you know, embark on that path because it's too hard or because our family doesn't understand or doesn't agree with it. Right on a deep level. So yeah, it's a really good question, though, that you brought up.

Brandon Handley 29:52 So for, like, right, the talents here, especially when you're leaning into something, non convention All right, I think that that's the best way to put it, you know, larger percentage of the world is Christian and larger, even even a large percentage of them don't realize that the Bible is kind of like a, I don't know, a Snow White remake, right? Of all the things that came before it, right? And it's like, all the same exact stories are in there. But like, just because it's over here in this book, it means something different than it ever meant before. So it sounds like you know, she's she's got that genuine curiosity, because she's seeing the the kind of alignment and she's like, alright, well, you know, what the path that you're on, actually aligns kind of really well to everything I already know, I'm sure I'm not sure she's ever said that like out loud, but also have to go to the idea of, you know, I'm a parent. And, you know, it's a general thing that I would have to say is, you know, it's just wanting to make sure that your child is okay. Right. Like, it's not even so much of like, you know, worried about, you know, yeah, you are more more so like, you know, just wanting to make sure you're okay. And so I mean, to me, that's what it sounds like. And it's great that you know, that your dad was kind of there going through and being genuinely interested is sitting down, going through and looking through Akashic stuff with you as well. That's kind of fun. And, and he talked a little bit about to this, this idea of not holding on to needing her acceptance or their acceptance. And I think that I think that's really a powerful thing as well, that the idea of sure you would love it, if they understood and they were there with you and your journey. And that that might be something kind of meaningful. Yeah, but you're not attached to that, right? That doesn't necessarily mean that, that you're not going to do it. And it doesn't necessarily mean that your happiness is derived from their approval. Right? I think that's it, that's a big challenge. I mean, that Good on you for kind of, you know, being able to make those breaks. And even even in that, what else was there? Just that? That, was it, the idea that doesn't negate the truth of who she is. Right? Like, you know, so your mom, you know, doesn't, you know, she can still have her journey, you've got yours. And again, that's another another thing that I that, you know, I experienced myself and have, you know, seen from others, like, this is the way follow me, right? Like, you know, if you're not going this way, then you know, you're not living the truth of who you are. Right. And so being able to being able to look at others and realize that they're all on their journey, you're on yours, you guys all meet, I think about it, kind of like in the in the idea of Wizard of Oz, right? You know, we all kind of meet along the way to Oz, and like, you're going to get a brain you're going for our heart, I just want to go home, right? And, and, but like everybody's kind of on their own individual journey for their own individual reasons. So really cool story, I enjoy it. Another big piece of that is, a lot of us face that, right? We face this wall of, you know, I really want to I really want to step into the truth of who I am, right? I really want to go do this thing, but I'm not sure that XYZ you're going to accept it. Right? Or what are the what is everybody gonna say? And the truth of the matter is like, do you want to sit there and lay in bed at night being like, why aren't I living out my life the way I want to. And, you know, that said, thank you for sharing that journey. And then hopefully, like I said, that's going to be helpful for others who are who are kind of in that same space in place or similar journey to to know what some of the positive steps that they can take. And I'll also caveat that when I say positive, I don't mean like, you know, it's always gonna have a joyous outcome, it means that there's forward progress. When I say positive, there's, there's, you're moving forward, you're you're getting unstuck, you're moving towards wherever you're trying to move to. So let's say, you know, I reached out to you, Amy, and I'm like, I want to do some work with you. What, you know, walk me through, like, an introductory session and what we might talk about.

Amie Dean 34:17 Absolutely. So there are two avenues to that. And one avenue is, you know, just spending some time first in like a consultation. So it'd be a phone call to decide number one is coaching right for you, or it's counseling right for you, because, and there's two different layers of this, right. So for example, therapy tends to be better for you know, an individual who is kind of in a in a stage where maybe they haven't done a lot of therapy already before or they have but they still have some very traumatic wounds that they're stuck in. It's almost like the survival stage, right, that they're trying to move through. And so that's, you know, typically therapy, right where we want to actually get down to the bottom of it, what is this core wound? What are some of these things that are in these memories and past you know, Your senses that are causing this wound. So that's more of like the therapy side of it. So and that's also if you know, a person's experiencing, you know, extreme anxiety or depression, or they're really having a hard time, you know, functioning on a, you know, more balanced level in their everyday life. Now, coaching is for people who say, you know, what I know I still have wants to heal, or pretty sure I do. And I'd like to find out more about what that looks like. But kind of similar to what you've mentioned before, it's for those truth seekers, almost right, the ones who are ready to kind of deepen their spiritual journey, you know, a bit more, and they want to connect with like minded people, because the coaching I do is within a group setting with other women. And in the setting, this is a place to truly heal together, because we're not on this spiritual awakening journey alone, right? We're not meant to be anyway, we're supposed to connect and heal through each other's stories and heal through each other's wisdom and compassion. So I would say that the major differences is, you know, therapy is kind of a stepping stone to the coaching work I do. Because it does help to have a really clear understanding of the whys. Why I went through this and the house and, and to have the coping, you know, skills and resources, and then the coaching is that next level, to say, but you know, I got a really clear sense, and my life is, you know, a little more balanced, or a lot more balanced. And now I'm ready, I'm ready to really dive into Who am I really? What is my life purpose? Like, what is most important to me, as a spiritual being? And how can I bring spirituality as the main source of my life? How can I truly understand who I am? And so that would be I think, that next level, you know, and, and often in the consultation, I can help, you know, person discover more about that and understand, you know, where they're at, if they're unsure, you know, where they're at in this journey. But that's usually the first step. I would say to the process. Yeah.

Brandon Handley 36:52 So we've determined that I am you I am fresh out of survival mode, right? And I'm ready to go on to this, this coaching, I'm ready to deepen my spiritual journey. I love that you're creating space, and you're working primarily with women, is that correct?

Amie Dean 37:10 That is yes. Primarily with women with you know, doesn't have to be developmental trauma, but women who have had some kind of level of trauma or or difficulty in, or just maybe processing through certain life events that they've been through. So And usually, of course, it always stands in childhood, even if they don't have a core memory that connects to that just yet.

Brandon Handley 37:32 How do you help them connect to that core memory? What's something that you do for that?

Amie Dean 37:37 Yeah, so when so not usually in the consultation? Usually, this happens in our first session together, we spent some time, you know, creating these building blocks around, what are some of these memories you do remember, what are some things that do come to mind, right, that makes sense for you. And then we just go a little bit deeper, and we go backwards in time together. So I use a meditative technique with visualization. And I use something called internal family systems as well. It's a form of therapy that allows you to go deep into your psyche, to understand different sub personalities. And these are simply, you know, different parts of us that show up in our everyday life, like our critic or perfectionist, our, let's say, you know, there's a part of you that you know, wants to, well, maybe a control part, right, I want to control my everyday experiences and creates anxiety for you. So these are parts we get in touch with, and we try to understand how do they connect to your timeline as to when the symptoms began for you? Right? So maybe for this person, it's I started having extreme anxiety at age 10. And I don't know why. Right? I don't know what caused it. So we'll just start to explore what happened, you know, around that time frame, so it's very similar to therapy in this way to you know, in discovering the core wound, but then we go into, you know, the Akashic records, and then we discover more of the whys and the hows around this core wound. And then more memory starts to become more obvious

Brandon Handley 39:00 for me because I was waiting to get to the Akashic records. I'm like, can we use feel all this shit and get to the Akashic records? Because I'm ready, go there. Right, let's, let's, let's talk. Let's talk about the Akashic records. What would you say they are? And what, when, and how, how do your clients usually kind of react to what they are versus what their perception of that is?

Amie Dean 39:27 Yes, so how so? Typically, it's really interesting. There's such a big interest now in the Akashic records, and most people are like, I don't really know what it is, but I just want to figure out how to access mine, right? Because it sounds so cool to know more about who I am and, and to ask questions to understand my spiritual side. But the Akashic Records really are it's just this etheric library have, really of our inner worlds, right. So I know sometimes you can think of the Akashic records is out there somewhere, right? Somewhere out there, but there's really within us and it's within the physical dimension of consciousness. And typically we're living on the third dimension of consciousness, we can think of it that way. And the third dimension is very physical, you know, we have a lot to do this is that state of kind of get things done, we are time limited. And as we move up into, you know, fourth dimension is more of the astral plane, which helps us to launch into the fifth dimension of love, which is where the Akashic records exist. From here, we're able to actually understand more of our life purpose, understand why we went through what we went through from a place of love, which is why it's such an amazing, you know, opportunity to heal. But some people, you know, they see their Akashic records. It's like a giant library of information, because it holds all of your souls records from all time. So for those who believe in past lives, it's holds your past lives, future possibilities of what could happen in the future, your life purpose, your soul contract as to why we came here, and why we're doing what we're doing, and the kind of karma that we might need to work through. So it has an immense amount of information here. It's like the internet, but you know it within you have information, so to speak. And it's powerful, really powerful.

Brandon Handley 41:07 So, do you access my Akashic records? Or do you help me to access them? And then then what were we out there?

Amie Dean 41:20 Yes. Oh, I like this question. So for while I was doing one to one readings for people and doing community readings for people and recognize that it wasn't really helping to, you know, provide the tools that were necessary. So I now what I do is I help people directly. So I would guide you, you know, and help you access your Akashic records, but I'd be in there with you. Hopefully, that makes sense. So it almost you know, we so the way that this works is there's a prayer process. And this prayer process helps you to get in touch with the truth of your essence, right? The love that you are. And because of that you're able to, you know, dive deeper into this love, right, the dimension of love in this way. And so the prayer is kind of like a vibrational frequency, almost, you know, that we go into together. So you would say that prayer, for example, right out loud. And I would, you know, stand you know, kind of sit with you hold the space with you. And then you would access your Akashic records at that same time. Usually, for some people, they see light, right open up after the prayer, for example, some people see the library of books show up around them. But there's a lot of different things that can happen in this way. So with that being said, I'm there as a support in the background trying to help in any way I can. And sometimes I will get information, you know, and I'll pull it in, and I'll say, what about this? What do you think about that? And then, you know, people can let me know if they're on the same page, if they feel that too, right, if they're also sensing those changes within them. So yeah,

Brandon Handley 42:49 would you say it's a little bit like, yeah, would you say it's a little bit like when Morpheus is in there with Neo, and he's like, you know, stop trying to hit me and just hit me. Right? That type of thing. And then like, he just kind of back away, and he does his own thing? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That's it all

Amie Dean 43:04 the way. Exactly. Yeah. I love that analogy. Yeah, it's perfect. That's perfect. Yeah, it's, it's a joint, it's kind of like teamwork, you know, in some way in this in this process, because they don't want to just go into your records. I was doing this for a while. And then then everyone has to keep coming to me for mention their records. And I just didn't feel like that was empowering, really. And I realized everybody can access their records. I don't need to do that for them. But I want to empower them to know how to do that. So I'm more of a teacher, I think in this way than a reader like I was in the past.

Brandon Handley 43:35 Yeah, that's great. I'm gonna even spin all the way back kind of to the beginning of the conversation, where you talk a little bit about recognizing kind of how you had these psychic abilities, and that made you different. Yeah. And I would, I would almost hesitate to say you, yeah, you were aware of your psychic abilities that I think are innate in everybody. Yeah. Right. It's just, it's just you, you know, you chose to kind of chase the path and give, give yourself to that. And through things like what you're doing with teaching them how to access the Akashic records, you're like, Hey, listen, it's not just me. Right? I'm capable. You're capable. And here's how and here's what this looks like. And just kind of give yourself open openness to that.

    Amie Dean 44:26 Exactly. So

Brandon Handley 44:28 yeah, I love what you're doing. I think I think it's a definitely think it's very cool. What um, you know, who would you say is kind of like your ideal client?

Amie Dean 44:39 Yeah. So I would say that so there's a couple different clients that might be you know, interested in this work and interested in this healing. Usually, it's a person number one, they're highly spiritual, dedicated, you know, usually work with a lot of spiritually dedicated women who not to say that they feel like their spiritual life is on track, but they want their spiritual life to be on track, right? Maybe they want You know, more meditation and yoga and more of an understanding of how to deepen, right, their understanding of who they are, but they're not quite there, right. So they, the, you know, there are those people who are ready, but they don't know the path or like, help me figure it out, I'm confused about how to make this happen. So there's that. And then typically, these women tend to be highly self critical, they tend to, you know, be really hard on themselves, sometimes perfectionistic in certain ways, and tend to experience you know, anxiety quite a bit as well, they might also be empaths, you know, and really, you know, tapping into other people's emotions on a regular basis. So these women, usually to, you know, they are busy, busy, busy people, right, they're spending a lot of time, you know, just trying to make things happen. And maybe they have families that they're trying to, you know, balance out with work and their spiritual life. And, you know, coming back to our conversation around integration, they're thinking, how on earth do I integrate my spiritual life, into my everyday life of being a parent of being a friend of being a entrepreneur, maybe of being a business owner? Or, you know, being even being an employee? How do I figure this out? Right? How do I really understand my path? And my purpose in this? So it's usually people who are, they're just ready, really, they're just ready to step into their life. And they're ready, you know, they're, they're tired of living in that third dimension, you know, is one way of thinking of it, living so heavily in that third dimension of consciousness, that the dimension of love within them, that fifth dimension is not present in the way that they would hope? So that would be Yeah, that would be the right person.

Brandon Handley 46:36 Thanks for Thanks for sharing that, right. So just so that people who are listening tuned in today, they have an idea of whether or not you know, that's a great fit. One of the things I like to do here is just kind of look at, I look at this podcast is kind of like a spiritual speed dating show, right? Because they're gonna tune in to looking for their next spiritual, you know, date as it were, they're looking for. And I think another thing is, too, is, is, even in the idea of, I'll go back to Hinduism, you know, you can have more than one guru, right? It's like, you know, you go to like one, and you hang out with him for a while. And you awaken certain aspects of yourself. And that's, that's what that Guru does. That's what that teacher does. And so yeah, it's okay to move on. And, and so my guess is like, you're not trying to hold these clients for life. It's like, Alright, come get what you need and move on. Right? Like, you've got what you need for me, I've given you all I can give now. Scoop, right? So says, people are kind of calling on their on their paths. This would be, I think, one or one or two of the questions that I would ask, let's see, what do we had to ask for spiritual Bachelorette number one today? Ooh, to do, let's say, how does one obtain true peace? Oh, I

Amie Dean 47:59 love it. How does one obtain true peace? You know, I would say the best way to obtain true peace is to acknowledge the human condition, first and foremost, which is this negativity bias to not have true peace, right? Coming back to that shadow work, right, that we all need to do, I think on a very deep level, that, you know, we're one part of us, for example, once piece, one part of us or several parts of us do not want peace, right? For example, some parts of us want to be angry, some parts of us want to be, you know, in a state of fear, right, and some parts of us really want peace. So first maybe is to acknowledge this kind of multiplicity of our personality, right, where we're not just one person. And, you know, the, the way to obtain that is to make peace, you know, for lack of a better word, make peace with the parts of us that do not want peace, if that makes sense, right? Make peace with the parts of us that need some time to be in anger, to stew in things sometimes to to really allow that sense of mindfulness, right to bring that to our experience, instead of forcing ourselves right to move past it, which is spiritual bypass. Right? Just to get to that true peace state. So hopefully, that makes sense. Yeah, it's a journey for sure.

Brandon Handley 49:11 It makes a lot of sense a in the idea of the you said two things there. I'm not super deep on spiritual bypassing, but, you know, that would be the idea of saying, you know, exactly, exactly what said, Well, there's anger there and I shouldn't have that in my life. There's this over there. And that shouldn't be my life. Like, there's like a spiritual bypassing is like, you know, when you're at the buffet, and there's like, all the things there, which makes the full buffet what it is, and then you're like, well, that shouldn't be on there. I'm not having any of that that shouldn't be on there. I'm gonna fill my plate with all the spiritual things that I think I was supposed to have. Yeah, but no pudding. Right? I can't have pudding. I love pudding, but I can't have pudding. And what I found through the Shadow Work is is understanding the There's just like you said, anger may sound like a may sound like an oxymoron, right? It's kind of part of peace. Right? You gotta you gotta you've got you can't ignore that you're feeling angry. If you ignore that you're feeling angry then there's always going to be a disturbance are never going to be peaceful sake if I'm angry. Why am I angry? What's up there? Should I keep feeling it? Okay, I'm feeling it. I'm feeling it. I'm feeling it. Yeah, I'm over it, right. Yeah, I was pretty angry. But I'm over it right like but but it to try and reject it and suppress it is gonna make it a lot like a geyser. In the end? Absolutely. Oh, yeah. Never thrown putting into a spiritual conversation before. But there it is.

Amie Dean 50:50 It just comes up on its own. Right? That's right.

Brandon Handley 50:54 Let's see to do trying to find one that I don't always ask. Yeah. Let's see, no longer longer to do to do. What does it mean to live in the present moment?

Amie Dean 51:10 What does it mean to live in the present moment, I would say to live in the present moment means to be 100%. So this is kind of a number one, of course, coming back to living moment by moment. Right. So reminding yourself that it's not about it's not necessarily that you're not thinking about the future. And it's not necessarily that you, you know, you're not thinking about the past? Because these are thoughts that are happening, right. Thoughts happen on their own? They don't we're not thinking thoughts necessarily. They're just coming in. Right. So it's more about, can I be aware? Can I be open? Can I be just yet self aware in the moment of what's coming up for me, for example, that my thoughts are going to the future that my thoughts are going to the past, right? It's, it's this recognition that as we're present with our body, for example, right, noticing sensation, noticing emotion, can I allow that to be right, it's really the aspect of surrender, I would say, because you have to surrender in order to be present. Because you know, the idea of not being present is the opposite of surrender, right? It's about control. It's about trying to fix it's about trying to jump into the future in some way. And in this instance, so when we're trying to be present, we are understanding that surrender is the way therefore we have to surrender to this doesn't feel good to be present right now. Oh, for example, that anger is showing up, and I really don't want to be present with it. But it's here. And therefore, I'm going to invite it into my experience the best way I know how, right, which is just to maybe be gentle with myself in this moment. So there's that Yeah. To be present.

Brandon Handley 52:40 Could you clarify, would you clarify, you know, the word surrender, because I think a lot of people look at surrender, as in giving, as in not standing up for myself, as you know. So when you're saying surrender, what are you saying?

Amie Dean 52:56 Yes. So surrender is no, this is actually really important conversation. Because often we can think well, so we're just surrendering, we're just letting it go. And it's no big deal. And as we're doing that, we're just letting go of everything, right, which means our ability to assert any kind of, you know, maybe not necessarily control, but to assert any kind of influence over our lives in some sort of way. But it's not like that surrender is just simply noticing our experience, noticing what's arising, choosing not to fight with it, choosing not to resist it, just allowing it to be and I know that, you know, that is a process. And for many, you know, they might ask well, how do I know if I'm resisting it? How do I know if I'm surrendering? Right? And I would say that, you know, you're surrendering, when there's a sense of openness around your experience, right? There's a sense of just knowing that you're okay, as you are in that moment. And there isn't the sense of tension or tightness around a situation, right? For example, you know, if you have to make a big decision, let's say, right, and you're just going back and forth, you know, Option A or Option B, Option A or Option B, and you realize, you know, I'm not really surrendering right now, because I'm feeling stressed about this, I'm feeling tension about this, I'm feeling like I have to figure it out in some way. That would be the opposite of surrender, right? And then surrendering would be okay, this is how I feel. Right now. I'm feeling torn. There's a part of me that feels this way. There's a part of me that feels that way. And I can't make a decision. In this moment. I'm going to surrender to the knowing that this is the current snapshot of my life right now. And I'm going to be okay with that in this moment. Or at least be okay. Right, with the knowing that this is going to change because all experiences are temporary in this moment. And so there's that right, and that can help you see right that you are surrendering or not surrendering. But the big key here is that you can't just say I'm going to surrender and then okay, fine. I'm not going to make the decision. Greg's gonna make a decision either way. But the point is that as you create some space around it, a decision is made naturally. It comes intuitively through you in that moment, and it's not based on Control Data comes through your higher wisdom is one way of looking at it.

Brandon Handley 55:05 Yeah, thanks for Thanks for clearing that up. Right. I think that, again, a lot of people are going to look at surrenders, just kind of rolling over and letting letting things just kind of take over, or they don't have anything that they can do about it. In that regard, you'd mentioned that you had something you'd like to share with the audience. And what was that? Amy?

Amie Dean 55:25 Yes. So there is a spiritual awakening guidebook that I offer, just as a complimentary download on my website. And this is this guide book walks you through the six phases of spiritual awakening. I know we didn't get to that today. But I have the six phases that we go through on our spiritual journey. And it's 100% connected to healing our inner child. And this tells you how to go about healing that how to work through these challenges that are coming up and to determine which phase of awakening you're in. Right now. And and of course, there's an option to book a call with me that constant we talked about earlier, if that feels right. And they can download this. So would it be helpful to give the website information now? Absolutely, absolutely. Perfect. So the website is one awakening. So that's o n e awakening.us/awaken. And right there, you can just download it at that page. And yeah, then it's yours. Oh, and there's a journal with it, too. I think that's another important piece as spiritual awakening journal to integrate your daily habit.

Brandon Handley 56:31 Yeah, awesome. Yeah. I think that I think that's a good point to make. I recall, when I was going through what I would call my awakening process, and reaching out to people, right. I was like, Jesus, like, Who can I talk to about this? And a couple of people that I chatted with, it was like, just, you know, also, while you're going through this, sure, there's plenty of materials you can read, and lots of things you can do. But one of the one of the things you can do that's very beneficial is to write it out, capture that kind of in the journal right? And just make sure that you're creating space and time to do that. Amy, thanks for so much for being on today. Making the time where can I send other people to connect with you today?

Amie Dean 57:12 Yes, wonderful. So I would say that so I do have a Facebook community as well. And this is, so you can go to facebook.com/awakening spiritually together, you can always look that up on Facebook. And I go live every week, every other week, sometimes in the group and their spiritual awakening resources in that Facebook group. And I'm also on YouTube as well, which you can find all those links on my website, which you can find once you download that workbook. I want awakening.us/awakened Yeah.

Brandon Handley 57:46 Fantastic. Thanks for being on today with us. Amy.

Amie Dean 57:48 Thank you so much. It's a pleasure. And thank you to all who are listening and hopefully, this helped with your spiritual awakening journey. Thank you for having me. I mean journey. Thank you for having me. I

Donna Tashjian 1:53 Oh, that's a big question.

Welcome to the spiritual dough podcast, the show that answers the questions you never even knew to ask, but knew the answers to questions about you this world the people in it? And most importantly, how do I proceed now moving forward? We don't have all the answers but we sure do love living in the question. Time for another head of spiritual dub with your host Brandon Handley. Let's get right into today's episode.

So Donna, thanks for being on here today. By we're able to connect. I usually like me to usually like to start these off with the whole idea that um, you and I, you know, we're vessels for Source Energy, right that uh, you know, the you know, that whatever messages coming through on this podcast today with the conversation you and I have you and I will hear that. But like somebody on the other side, somebody listening and tuning in is going to get a message that they need to receive. And it can be delivered through you through this podcast in this moment. What is that message?

Donna Tashjian 1:56 Um, the main point that it's what my podcast name is, is helping people know they were designed for greatness and really stepping in and walking in that. Yeah, that's the main thing I want people to know. It was just

Brandon Handley 2:13 so I mean, what does that look like for you? How did you? Let's kind of walk our way to that. How did you come to find yourself to even recognize that for yourself? And then how did you and we'll move forward from there?

Donna Tashjian 2:26 Yeah, the way my journey began, is really a pain point. As far as starting back, when I was 14, someone hurt me and I became pregnant. And so at the age of 15, I had a little girl, and I raised her. And so there was a lot of times where I was alone, there was no one else to rely on. And all I had was my faith. And that's where in that pain moment is when things really began to have. I built my foundation, I'll put it that way, to being able to learn how to trust in God and my spiritual walk and learning how to create who I was really designed to be. Through that process, there was all kinds of labels that are put on us and I had them all kinds of labels we put on ourselves. And all through that processes, like who am I really and learning how to discover who we really are. So that and that is a journey, who we are in our 20s is different than who we are in our 30s and so forth. And it's it's a journey as you discover who you really are and the gift you are to the world. Yeah.

Brandon Handley 4:06 Yeah, the the whole idea of, you know, it sounds to me like you had faith at a young age. Is that Is that true? I did. So that faith was Christianity was something else. It

Donna Tashjian 4:19 was Christianity, it was Christianity. Yes. And

Brandon Handley 4:23 do Lean you really leaned into that, with the pain that you were going through? Sounds like it doesn't sound like you had a whole lot of other. I don't want to say it doesn't sound like you didn't have other support, but it sounded like that was what you relied on the most.

Donna Tashjian 4:38 Yes, there wasn't a lot of support. And yes, it was something that I relied on that. And as I have gone forward is is learning that how to make sense out of tragedy. One of my programs that I work with some of them My clients is called Turning your baggage into luggage. And so how to make sense out of the pain and our disappointments in our life? How do we have them because I talk about making them become luggage so that you can create the life you dreamed. And so some of the worst days of my life have brought me to wonderful, incredible places that I wouldn't have had, without those painful moments and learning how to understand that. I mean, it doesn't take, to me anyway, it doesn't take much to see that there's something bigger than us at work. I couldn't I mean, the human body in itself, in all of its magnificence, it couldn't have just happened. That's my belief. And so learning that there is something bigger at work, and through all of the things that happen to our life, there can be something good out of it, if you look for it,

Brandon Handley 6:05 for sure, but you know, I think that even you, you may agree, right? That if you go back to your 1516 year old self, and you're in all this pain, sometimes when you're in the midst of it, and you haven't had a bunch of life experience, for sure, then you could definitely crumble and fall and you know, you don't see the you don't see those lessons sometimes when you're in it. Right. I think that that can be a real challenge for us as as you and I can see I you see the lessons in the tragedy, you see the light and somebody is in the middle of the tragedy. Yeah. How do you before we can go there? I want to just, you know, Yeah, agreed, right? It's something bigger than URI. Some is at play here, the human body doing what it does, I always make the statement that if you, you don't know how to make your own blood, you don't know how to grow your own hair, you don't all these things that you're you are doing from within?

Donna Tashjian 7:04 You can't make yourself breathe either.

Brandon Handley 7:07 Right? Right. So I mean, these are things you go to sleep and like, I wouldn't trust myself to do something else with it play. Something else is a play. And, and even that, like the trillions of trillions of different parts, and I have a challenge sometimes, you know, pulling three pieces like eggs, toast and cheese and making a sandwich out of it, you know, and so imagine what it really takes to make all of this work the way that it does. That's great. Absolutely. I think it's a great point. So I mean, I want to I want to hit on that. What are some of the tools that you will so you find you find yourself, you know, you got you have these tragic moments, you rely on your faith where you know, where along the path? Do you begin to see yourself as having this greatness to explore and share?

Donna Tashjian 7:56 I think it was, I think for me, it was an ongoing journey to know that there was that there was something that more than I than I could see at the moment that there was something bigger there. I think that's been a journey to be able to discover. And I know I know that at that age, and in through my years, I would not have articulated it, that I was designed for greatness. But I had this knowing that there was something bigger for me to do. And not sure how exactly to get there. The way that I articulate it today, of course, is not the what I would have said in the middle of the moment, I just knew that there was more. And there was also this feeling is blaming on my hair color, perhaps but I'm going to prove you wrong. And lowing that might have been a blonde. Yeah.

Brandon Handley 8:59 I mean, look, I get it right I absolutely the ongoing journey and not being able to express this connection and this feeling in the sense that you know that there's something greater out there. And my guess is as you're kind of coming along through your life, it's like you couldn't even really put a finger on it. Right? And regardless of whether or not you know, that is there is where do you feel like you first really began to be able to put a finger on it, so that you were able to begin to express it and what did that look like?

Donna Tashjian 9:37 I have done quite a few different things in my life that I think we're building to the place that I am today. But vibrant living and the being a Life Mastery coach in this capacity is when I began to really realize it and that wasn't till I that I would articulate it this way was about 10 years. ago. So it hasn't really been I, I've always had this knowing that there was something but I didn't know what and when I began to be able to put a plan to it and strategy to it that I began to really realize the magnitude of how we were designed for greatness. And my greatness doesn't look like yours. It looks like me and me being me is actually what's so great. It's learning how to be who we are, without having to have people approve of us or having worrying about our performance, or worrying about all of that. It's just being who you are with the gifts because you are important. And so learning to be able to articulate that in a way as hell and help others is my sweet spot.

Brandon Handley 11:00 I love that the you know, the idea was, first of all right, 10 years ago, I mean, that's fair, fairly decent amount of time that you've been doing this now this work, right, and kind of uncovering it and developing this Life Mastery coach, aspect. And I think that that's a, it's a long journey. Right now, to your point, you, you spent most of your life working your way up to there. And as you step into this space, you begin to understand that there's so much that you have to uncover, right, these tragedies that you talked about being able to look at them as lessons later. What, what got you what was said to you, what was it that said to you, hey, I want to get into coaching. I mean,

Donna Tashjian 11:44 well, I have always had it before, I would have called it mentoring. I've been doing that for over 20 years. So there's always been that capacity there. But it wasn't full time. It was stuff that I was doing on the side. And so my it was one of those moments when I said, What do I want to do now that I'm all grown up? What would I really love to do. And I had started a job at a nonprofit organization, which I worked at a lot of them started on my own, and thought that that would be the avenue to do the thing. But it was actually limiting. And now that I look back at it, but I had put all my eggs in that basket thinking it would be great. And me and the management did not get along, after a while. And so I was I was let go from that job. And so it was a moment of what do I really want to do. And so I did some deep soul searching. And that's when vibrant living, the clarity of the vision of coaching and helping people to step into their greatness to leave the pain and disappointment of the past behind and create the life they've always dreamed was born.

Brandon Handley 13:01 So it's almost like there was a moment in there where he doesn't sound like you were fired, but doesn't sound like the job was extended for an ongoing length of time. Right? So there was a moment right there where you felt like you were in a place to serve and benefit others in this in this organization. And having that taken away. Again, this is an area where a lot of people could easily kind of shut down and and give up. Right? What was it? You know, in the question, line of questioning that you took to yourself what I really want what made you even want to continue to go forward and continue to serve what was?

Donna Tashjian 13:41 Well, there was a period of time where I was on the floor, so to speak, you know, it's like the rug has been pulled out from me. I doubted my value, all of the things that we do when those kinds of things happen is just wondering, What am I going to do and all of that. But it goes back to my faith again, because that's I went back to God and talk to him about it. And that's where I got my direction. And it wasn't a moment it was little steps. What about this? And what about that, and I just follow the steps. And just because I didn't know coaching was a thing 10 years ago. To me, it was a football coach. It was what I pictured when you said the word coach, and I'm like, I am not that I will not scream at you. I will not do that. And so I didn't even know it was quote a thing. So it was a journey of step by step as I talked to God about what I should do next. Because ultimately, even when we're doing the self doubt that I don't have worth and that inner critic stuff that goes on. There's a part of us that knows that's not true. There's a part of us that knows there's something more than that. And so that's what I followed. And that's how I got here.

Brandon Handley 15:05 Let's talk about even listening to that, listening to the eating the small steps, right? Taking those small steps listening to your, you know, listening to God slash, I think a lot of the people that would tune in we call it like your inner guidance, your intuition, following your bliss, what, what gave you the strength to follow that? Right or not know, the strength is the right word. But I think you get what I'm saying?

Donna Tashjian 15:37 I, I think so, um, there is our intuition, as you say it, I agree with intuition, it's a place that I believe God speaks to us. And people call it different things. Um, but I, I like, in my strength to coming from him, it's more than intuition. And for me, so that was a knowing and like I said, even though that there's the self doubt, we know, I believe we know there's something more for us, something that pulls, pulling us forward. It's bigger than us. Because everyone has something, an impact that they make, and it doesn't have to be what I'm doing, or you're doing, it's whatever they need to be doing. That's in their heart. So I, that's, that's where my strength come from. I know where my strength comes from.

Brandon Handley 16:34 Yeah, I mean, it sounds like you don't have a doubt now. So when you decided that, hey, I'm gonna do this vibrant living bit, I'm gonna go ahead and move forward into it. And I'm stepping into my greatness. I'm helping others do the same. What was the reaction, say, of your family, people that were close to you? around that.

Donna Tashjian 16:57 Um, most of the people that were there around me the family is it's about time. You know, most people had saw that in we my daughter said, who is an adult now? said, Mom, there was always women sitting on the couch crying, and you are helping them. And that was one of her earlier memories, so that anybody that really knew me, it did surprise them less than it did me. Oh, what? What I had stepped into with this.

Brandon Handley 17:30 That's awesome. So is great sound sounds like there was some support there? Yes. And what about I always think about the idea of kind of stepping into this kind of work. And following your spiritual guidance, your guidance from God can be scary and intimidating for some was there any fear in in? Yeah, I mean, let's talk about that and get in passing through it.

Donna Tashjian 17:57 Oh, yeah. There's a constant feeling of what if this doesn't work. And wondering of being afraid of failure, afraid of, I guess not working is the best way I know how to describe it. And the one of the ways that got me through it is I got a coach to be able to help

Brandon Handley 18:21 you. You're a coach and you had a coach.

Donna Tashjian 18:25 If you have a coach and they don't have a coach, you need to change coaches

Brandon Handley 18:29 figure that out for sure. For sure.

Donna Tashjian 18:31 Everyone needs someone speaking into their life, and I got a coach that be a to be able to help me see what I couldn't see. That's one of the things that coach does is help you change your perspectives and help you see what you can't see. One of the best advice I got from my coach was to get up every day and proceed as if success was inevitable. When it didn't look like it would work when it didn't look like you knew what you were doing. I don't know how to do this. I've never done this before. All of that stuff, when you start something new, was to get up every day and proceeded as success was inevitable. And that phrase, will there was others. But that particular phrase every day I did that. Now there'll be a couple of days that I wanted to stay in bed because I wouldn't think it wouldn't work. But almost every day, that was my choice to choose to believe it would work. That in itself brings a different outcome. So that's one of the best things is that get a coach

Brandon Handley 19:33 for a good coach. And and I love the idea to have Joe act as if, yes, I'm going to act as if right just kind of success is inevitable. You're just walking your path, and as you said, trying to figure it out. Look, I don't know about you. I don't I don't pretend to believe or know that I've had a past life so that I know what to do with this one. This You know, for all intents and purposes, this is my first go round. So I'm doing my best. And you know, I think that if it comes to starting anyone bevor Devere, like you've done with vibrant living. You've made it this far, so why not?

Donna Tashjian 20:15 Yeah. All right. It didn't always look like it looks today, you know, when you're starting out, you know, Will anybody hire me as a coach? Those kind of feelings are always there. And, you know, what, if it's a problem that I don't know how to handle, or whatever it's it gets to be it can be scary anytime you start a new endeavor, but it doesn't, it doesn't look like that today.

Brandon Handley 20:40 Turned out. So I got to imagine that you did a little bit of let go and let God in your life, what's that look like for you?

Donna Tashjian 20:52 Let go and let God I'm the difference between having to control everything. And that is actually for me, at least when I want to control everything, it's because of fear. And, therefore, when I am trying to fix everything and, and make everything work the way I think it should, that's fear based. And that doesn't have a very good outcome when we make decisions from that place. But let go and let God is doing the best that I can with what I can do and and leave the rest to him. That's what it means to me.

Brandon Handley 21:32 I like that. I like that. Definitely curious because again, you've got a, a deep a deep faith and what you're doing. So when you're when you're teaching these people, when you're teaching your clients how to, you know, create luggage, what is it, let's walk through some of what that might look like. Let's say for example, I've got some baggage and I want to create it in luggage, walk me through me walk me through the process.

Donna Tashjian 21:59 Alright, well, this isn't going to be done in the next couple minutes, just so you know that. But one of the steps is I alluded to before is I call it building our understanding muscle. And that is is that in any adversity, there is a gift. I call them gifts wrapped in sandpaper, baggage thinking when something adversity happens is this isn't fair. This isn't right. This isn't just somebody needs to pay. That's baggage thinking. And when you're thinking that you get stuck in the baggage to repackage it into luggage, you begin to say, I can't change it, it happened. I'm going to use it to grow and become the best me I can be. So the first step is a gift wrapped in sandpaper. The second is learning to get support. The third is having compassion and forgiveness for others. that forgiveness is part of setting yourself free. So those are three steps to be able to build your understanding muscle. And that's one of the things simply and those could be talked about for a little while.

Brandon Handley 23:15 Yeah, I mean, first of all the visual of gifts being wrapped in sandpaper, not as visual, I can feel it. Right. I'm like that. Yeah, it's the it's not even like the fine grain. It's, it's the stuff that will cut you if you don't handle it properly. Kind of sandpaper. Right?

    Donna Tashjian 23:29 Right. Right.

Brandon Handley 23:33 And the idea of compassion and forgiveness and forgiveness so that you can, you know, set yourself free. I think that there's a misconception of what freedom is. And I think in this context, when you're setting people free, what would you say you're helping them to do? What are you setting them free of?

Donna Tashjian 23:58 Well, when you say freedom, what are you thinking?

Brandon Handley 24:02 I think these days, I'm thinking freedom from? In my own mind, right, like, letting my own internal bondages go and just, you know, recognizing something as self limiting, recognizing that I'm the person who wrapped the gift and sandpaper. Right? And so when I think that other people may think of freedom as like, Will I want to go out and do the things I want to do I want to be able to, you know, buy beer at 18 instead of 21 This isn't right I don't feel free I want to be liberated. And that's that's one type of freedom but I think that the the true freedom that you're teaching, at least my perspective would be is teaching people how to free their minds and their hearts.

Donna Tashjian 24:57 Yeah, What that's what forgiveness does. One of the people that we often need to forgive is ourself. When we've gone through things, somehow we blame ourselves, we're very hard on ourselves. And when when we begin to forgive ourselves, it causes our eyes, if you will, to lift off of our feet, if you can look at that kind of picture person that's down, and they're looking at their feet, and you lift your eyes up, and you begin to know that this is not, this is a chapter in my book, not the whole book. And not to let it be that whole book. But freedom really is eternal in internal, not external. And if you I can't remember the man, he was a writer from he was in the Nazi concentration camps. And he talked about the freedom that Victor for Yes, yes, that quote that I'm going to misquote but you get the idea that, you know, the freedom is actually internal. And you can be free and, and he, in his estimation, inside the Nazi prison, he was, they couldn't take that away from him. But if he had held unforgiveness, he would have had that weight, and he would not have been as free. Forgiveness is a huge subject. And it means a lot of different things for a lot of different people. And I spend a lot of time helping people understand what that really is, and how that really works. But the biggest point I want to make is, is that you begin to look for something good in the midst of things, it lifts your eyes up, it changes the way your outcome is, because I'm no longer for me, I describe it as my pity party, where I'm feeling sorry for myself. And that doesn't get us anywhere. Winston Churchill, Churchill had a quote, for God's sake, if you're going through hell, for God's sake, keep going. And a lot of times we camp out in our disappointment, we build a tent, we build a house, and we're just going to stay here because this wasn't right. But it wasn't meant to be that way. Journey Through it, not stay in it.

Brandon Handley 27:15 Yeah, that's fantastic. The right if you're, if you're in helps keep on going. Who wants to a lot, but you know, a lot of people, I think they feel like they've got to fight that fight. They've got to stay there. There's something for them to write by. And they feel vindicated by by saying they're in that space. And it's almost like a badge of honor. I'm in hell, nobody cares. I'm in hell. Right? Well keep your exits coming up. And keep them going. What is uh, you know, what's top of mind for you right now is like, kind of COVID going through what's your clients? You know, how's your client? Tell Ben through COVID? What are you seeing is helping people to get through this period right now.

Donna Tashjian 28:01 Um, the main thing that COVID has done as far as what I'm involved in is it made people seek help that might not have before. But I personally is for in and there's been a lot of loss, not just necessarily life, but life changes that have occurred. And grief is a is definitely something that shows up to help people look through and work through. So that's probably the main areas of loss Ignis, it doesn't necessarily mean people have lost jobs, and people have lost what they consider freedom, and all kinds of situations for them to be able to move how learn how to move through that. And the other thing that has stuck for some of the people I've talked to is, they can get set if I'm not a fan of the news, because there's no good news. But if you watch that kind of thing, you can get stuck in hopelessness and fear. And so helping people to rise above that.

Brandon Handley 29:11 Yeah, that's a big one. Do you advise that they turn the news off?

Donna Tashjian 29:17 If it's causing them severe anxiety? Yes, absolutely.

Brandon Handley 29:22 What's the typical reaction to something like that?

Donna Tashjian 29:25 Most the time, they agree with me. If there's other ways of finding out what's going on, then sitting hours watching the news. Yeah, you don't need to do that to find out what you need to know to stay current. Sure. And so there's other means to do that.

Brandon Handley 29:42 What do you recommend to to stay current for people that aren't going to watch the news?

Donna Tashjian 29:48 There's different online outlets where you can read the captions to be able to do that. And if there's anything big going on there, friends, let them know

Brandon Handley 30:00 I was curious. I mean, I think I heard maybe first through Tim Ferriss and not necessarily, you know, Tim Ferriss, you know, but the whole idea that once you turn the news off, now you've got like this great conversation, because your friends will come out and be like, did you hear about blah, blah, blah, blah, blah? Like, I didn't tell me all about it. That's, now you've got now you've got a conversation, but

Donna Tashjian 30:23 he will tell you, that is for sure. If there's something that you really need to know, somebody will tell you.

Brandon Handley 30:31 For sure. What is I mean, is there something that what is something that maybe we haven't touched on so far that you'd want to share with our audience today?

Donna Tashjian 30:44 I don't know, if there's anything else I've hit the most important parts is having them real look for the gift in situations to keep their eyes up to get support and help we're not meant to do this alone. And for me, I would encourage you to strengthen your faith, you know, strengthen that part of your life to be able to get through it. So those are some things for sure.

Brandon Handley 31:15 I mean, I agree with that 100%, you know, find find that something bigger, greater in your life that we know exists, give it a name, whatever you feel like you need to and lean into that there's something there's something really in there was talking about the let go and let God thing earlier for me. You know, I devised a way where it made sense for me in my mind, and like, the weight fell right off, it was amazing. I was like, like, oh, wait, this, this makes sense. And so I think that that's super powerful to share. One of the things that I guess I'd love to touch on though, too, is is sharing kind of the benefits of connecting with spirituality and source and your greater self. What does that look like in action? Right? I mean, because I'm sure you've run into the occasional person who just doesn't see it yet, and can't feel it yet that just says, Well, that sounds great and ideal, but what's that? How's that going to help me? You know, with my day job?

Donna Tashjian 32:19 So your question is, is how do we connect with God?

Brandon Handley 32:22 The question is, you know, we're talking this ideal life that's available, right? This this, we're talking, stuffing into your greatness. We're talking, you know, accepting, accepting that we are great, and we've got these gifts to share. Okay. How do you help the person that just isn't seeing that yet, right? The the person's like, oh, yeah, but you still got to, you know, pay the bills, you still got to do the whatever, you still got to do some other working, you know, you don't just become great, just because you said so Donna.

Donna Tashjian 32:56 I love that question. Um, I'm glad I asked what exactly you meant. Um, the, the key to it all is remember what we said freedom was, its internal. And so when I, when I have someone who feels hopeless, which is kind of what you were describing, I'm stuck in this dead end job. I don't feel great. I don't feel like I'm accomplishing anything. I don't know that I really even matter, perhaps. And helping them work on their internal beliefs and mindset would be the first step. Because you can't see. It's like, the world looks flat, I can't see what I can't see. And from where my perspective is, it's flat. That's what the world is. And so that just because that's all you can see, doesn't mean that's all there is. It's just what you can see right now. So what I help people do is to see more to be able to see the round of the Earth, so that they can see that there is more than your dead end job as you put it, or whatever limiting things that you feel like you're in your life, there's more to see. And I would help you see that that's what a coach does is help you see what you can't see yet.

Brandon Handley 34:14 Thanks. Now, like I said, it's one of those I know that I've run up against it. And people, you know, the it's a challenge, right to just try and help them to understand, was it gonna help them do? Right? What, what exactly is it you're gonna help them do? So thank you for clarifying that for me. So, we're in a little spot of the podcast where I like to kind of think about what this is, is spiritual speed dating, right? Like there's somebody out there who's looking for their next spiritual hookup, as it were. And I have a question or two, I'm gonna go ahead and ask you along that line down. So okay. Spiritual Bachelorette number one. Why are so many people depressed?

Donna Tashjian 34:59 Me Because what they're focusing on?

Brandon Handley 35:03 What do you mean by that? Yeah. What do you mean by that?

Donna Tashjian 35:07 Whatever you focus on you magnify whatever you focus on, you multiply. If I'm focusing on the lack that's in my life, anyone could be 15 minutes away from depression, if you start focusing on what's wrong in your life, your life is always filled with good and bad. Let's look at our neighborhood, there's good parts of our city. And there's parts it's not, there's great things about those jobs. And there's things that you don't like, in the house, you live you like this, but you don't like that. There's always a mixture of good things that we enjoy or we prefer, and things that we would prefer not. It's wherever you put your focus, that's what you're going to magnify and multiply in your life. So if you are, and the other thing is your focus also creates emotions, we think emotions just happen. But they happen by what I'm focusing on. So if I'm focusing on the negative and the lack of my life, I'm going to have negative emotions. If I choose to focus on what the blessings are in my life, finding things to be thankful for, and grateful for, that's the quickest way to pull you out of a depression or anxiety.

Brandon Handley 36:18 Thought it sounds like you're saying I might feel to control my emotions,

Donna Tashjian 36:22 just a bit. And I talked to women. So you know, I've got there's even more emotions we do is we do have more emotions. Yes. And I will, I will say it. And so teaching women, how not to be ruled by are my emotions, I can actually control them and rule them as well. Now, there are some chemical things going on in women's body that are different. I'm not going there. I'm just generalizing that where I put my focus, my feelings will follow that

Brandon Handley 36:53 I think that's a great point. A lot of times we feel like, our emotions come before our thoughts, right, and what we're focusing on, but what you're saying again, here is that what you focus on what you're thinking about is what can help to drive those emotions.

    Donna Tashjian 37:08 Yes, absolutely.

Brandon Handley 37:10 So let's try what are we also afraid of?

Donna Tashjian 37:22 I think the most thing that if we really got down to are afraid of not belonging and being loved is probably one of the main things and the other things is I don't I want to matter, I want to somehow matter. And so I think that's probably the main thing. We want to be belong and be loved and matter.

Brandon Handley 37:44 Yeah, that's I mean, that's, that's a big one. We want to feel like we're significant in some way, right? We're seeing for our contributions and the kind of like the truth of who we are, we want our greatness shining through. And sometimes we don't, may not feel like that it is and that can cause us to kind of definitely be upset and afraid to make the next step. Nobody's seen the the greatness is I'm contributing, nobody's seeing, you know, you know, the truth of who I am. And that can that can definitely make you afraid to step forward. So thought, who would you say is your ideal client? Right now?

Donna Tashjian 38:25 My ideal client and I, I coach women. So that's first criteria. And the ideal client is someone who has had a painful past and disappointments. And they're feeling like they're stuck there. They just kind of keep showing up and they want them they want to move forward and create a life they've always dreamed that would be I wanted to make a comment about greatness since I've said that a lot of thought came to me with the last couple of comments you said, is a lot of times we think greatness is grandiose. And the most important thing that I want to get this across is greatness is just being you. That is great. And I wrote a blog, I'm probably not the first one to say it, but small hinges move big doors. Sometimes the small, we could change the world if everyone was kind, just being kind, it could transform our whole world. So it doesn't mean great doesn't mean grandiose necessarily, but just be you authentically, you can be kind it changes everything.

Brandon Handley 39:42 That's a great it's a great point. I remember years ago when I first felt like I was quote, unquote, stepping into my greatness, just feeling all of who I am. Right. And that was it. It wasn't anything bigger or greater to just me Feeling true to myself? And I was at Dad convention dad 2.0 which is like a bunch of dad bloggers go to that. And I was asking him I said, Well, you know what's, what do you think is keeping you from your own greatness? What's keeping you from stepping you in into your greatness and people I think took it the same way that you're saying it right there. They will pool my to be great. Well, you're here to be great. is kind of how I would see that. So Thanks for Thanks for that clarification. Where should we send people to get a little more Donna Tashjian ties?

Donna Tashjian 40:37 You did it. My website, my website will be the best place I'm also on social media so you can check you know, check me out on social media, but my website is I vibrant. living.com.

Time for another head of spiritual dub with your host, Brandon Handley. Let's get right into today's episode.

Brandon Handley 0:41 Hey, there's spiritual dope. I'm on here today with Dr. Jana to low Sullivan, who received her doctorate in Pharmacy at the University of Southern California. She then proceeded into corporate pharmacy where she practiced the executive leadership realm of healthcare organizations, nonprofit organizations, program development, marketing and Board of Directors development. In 1989, she experienced the divine encounter which led her to leave her corporate career to fulfill a mission she'd been invited to develop. Marlon celebrating his 26th year of operation is now a national, charitable, nonprofit organization that provides free medical, dental, dental, and prescriptions and ancillary services and up to 12 Free surgeries a year to the underserved population, sees the author of several books titled I am your Jesus of mercy and is also the United States representative for the worldwide Armada by Bianca apostolate was for most the Fatima message to the children of the world. On top of this, she is also a happiness coach. And we'll dig into some of that. I am so happy to have you here with us today.

Gianna Sullivan 2:00 John, how are you? I'm great. Now that I'm on your show, Brandon, thank you for having me. Welcome to all your your fans who are joining us today. It's quite an honor. And so very privileged,

Brandon Handley 2:16 fantastic, me as well, you know, kind of this privilege to even be able to have the platform and be able to hop on and share it out. So I like to start these off with the whole idea that you and I are vessels for Source Energy, right? Like, you know, there's something out there that or even within us that we're connected to, that can only be expressed in like a certain way. And oftentimes when when we're having this conversation, there's something coming through you today, John, that can only, like, be delivered through this platform to an end listener that needs this message. What is that message today?

Gianna Sullivan 3:00 Well, if you had asked if we were to join, maybe, you know, a few months ago or something, maybe it would have been different. But today, I would say how could anyone see that there isn't a storm? If you know what I mean? Arising I mean, there's something near I think we're all feeling it. We're all being restricted on various levels. And that controls that are there are many controls that are being placed on not only locally, but peoples of all countries. And so I'm just wondering who's behind this outrageous manipulation that's telling people threatening people what they can or cannot do. And, and whoever it is, is behind liberal political, medical, spiritual leaders. They're just mandating all these different types of restrictions. And a lot of people are frightened by that. A lot of them are angry by that. So it's just not the President's or something. Something bigger, something else is behind this. And you know, who's telling social media to go out there. And these big giants who are spending millions of dollars to promote misinformation, and even to get certain people elected? Who is I guess, it's a storm that I see that sneering and who is behind this media, this mainstream media mean? And then I could even go into immigration. I can even talk to you about that. I mean, who's who's driving and profiting from the chaos and injustice? Right. They're from all fonts of, of immigration. If you look at it, so you got health care workers, you've got first responders, you've got teachers, you've got policies. You know, even law enforcement professionals, people are asked to resign people are leaving. I don't know. There's I just sense that there's a storm arising.

Brandon Handley 5:35 Yeah. Hey, I mean, it's it's we're living in some some really interesting times. I would I would not hesitate to say, and I know that I've said it before. I feel like we're living in the, in the midst of a revolution. Right. I think that. And within revolution, there's also revolt. Right? There's going to be most likely and there already has been I think that we're seeing some type of revolts. We're seeing revolts right now within the workforce, right, the great resignation, there's a there's a revolt. And within revolution, we also need to think of that the cycle, right? of you know, whatever's happening right now, our past we're really trying to disentangle from that and move forward. And I think to your point, there's a lot of new puppet mastering going on to try and maintain the grasp, by instilling fear by saying, oh, you know, you people over here, you got to stay here, you people over here, you've got to do this, you've got to you can't, you can't visit these people. Right? Oh, here's like the top five places you can't visit, right, and really just kind of a tremendous fear tactic that's being media driven, and all this other stuff. 100% there is a storm, a foreman, and I think that we're definitely in the midst of it. You know, all that being said, John, I mean, your happiness Coach, how do we how do we, you know, find ourselves let's, let's talk a little bit about your journey. Right, let's talk a bit about your journey. And then, at some point, let's lean into the idea that, you know, all this is going on? I'm hoping you say yes to this. But can we still find happiness in all these things that are going on?

Gianna Sullivan 7:24 So, okay, so even in the midst of a storm, I mean, there's various ways to look at all of this, okay? We know for a fact that genetically, we are composed. And born with happiness, we that's been proven scientifically. So if you looked at a pie chart, 50% of our happiness is genetic. And then the other 40% Are your habits, how you're brought up what you've been exposed to your neural path, pathway, pathological cellular pathways, I mean, all of that is, can either be positive or negative, and then that's 90%, right there that 40% was, you know, positive, that would be 90% 50. And 40%, happy would be 90%. But that 40% is the issue, the other 10% to make the 100% is really issues in your life that are transitional. Yeah. I mean, if you're not going to be happy, 100% all the time. It's always how you react, what your emotion is what you can do to cross check yourself. On, I mean, you there are points in your thought processes that you can change. So we know for a fact that we have 60,000 thoughts a day. And we also know that tomorrow, you will have 95% of the same thoughts that you had yesterday will be the same thoughts a few bad today that Did you know that now checking your thoughts, think about it, you're gonna have the same thoughts or things that we're always kind of thinking about. So if there are 95% of the thoughts that you had yesterday, the same day, then we're being robbed of happiness, just based off the things that we're thinking,

Brandon Handley 9:29 Alright. Let's, um, let's, I definitely want to dig into it. Right. I want to talk a little bit about your journey into this space, though. So so, you know, even first and foremost, right? With the amount of time that we have, definitely want to understand, you know, you you were in your work in the corporate life, yeah, doing the, you know, nine to five or as we know, corporates can be like, you know, 6080 hours a week, you know, just kind of like this life suck, especially as you're trying to propel yourself into This this, the things everybody tells us that we're supposed to want. Right. And then you had a divine encounter, which inspired you to leave your your corporate gig. And I love that, you know, I don't know if this is on purpose in your webpage, but you were led to fulfill a capitalized mission. Love to hear more about that, and then just kind of how that integrates. And let's work our way up to some happiness pieces that we can share out.

Gianna Sullivan 10:32 So I was vice president of a major health care company. And really, I enjoyed that position tremendously. I was very much of a yuppie. And so born and raised Arizona, got my BA in chemistry at ASU went off to California. And I got my doctorate and did my internships and at clerkships, UCLA. I mean, I was a yuppie, all the way enjoyed it all, took my boards, pass them and went right into administrative work and stuff like that. So I thoroughly enjoy I still love pharmacy is my profession for 36 years, but I, you know, I was at the top of my career is how I really would say it. And yes, I did, I did have a divine encounter. And it was an amazing experience. It mean, regardless of your religion, I can only enlighten it. I mean, yeah, to something like St. Paul, you know, like the scales fall off your eyes. It was like, all of a sudden, I had this illumination, enlightenment of body, mind and soul. And I was invited by God. And when you have a divine encounter, I can tell you, Brandon, you there's no way you can fake this. I mean, it will last for you forever, you will never forget the moment and what happens to you. So that I was invited by God to leave my current position as I knew it. And then to help the Lord. restore dignity, healing through his love. And now he didn't give me the tools how to do that. But medicine being my background in health care. That's why I chose the name Misha mercy. And the only key was I was going to them, they weren't to come to me. So I started a medical mobile clinic to go out to them. We started with like six volunteers and took a while to get it, you know, you have to do your research geographical area and, and people just don't buy into what you're doing. So did take time and you take baby steps, the steps. And so that's what happened. Then I took the plunge and purchased an RV. That was like $40,000 for $2,000. I only had $2,000 in my account. And then two weeks later, a benefactor came and paid it in full. And then we were able to they meaning the group that I got together about a few of us that we were able to furnish refurbish the mobile, RV to a mobile clinic. And that's how it started. This is was us. 20 stat. 27 years ago. Now we're national nonprofit.

Brandon Handley 13:50 I think I think that's fantastic. Let's talk a little bit about the you know, we can talk a little bit about that experience that you had, but it's been my it's hard to translate, right? It's like you said, you know, it's something you can't fake. Right?

Gianna Sullivan 14:09 You and leave your job for the amount of money I was getting to get nothing.

Brandon Handley 14:14 Well, you know, let's talk about that. That too. Right. So the whole the whole I'm not, I'm not a biblical scholar. But there's the whole idea of sell everything give it away or let go of it and move on to this next piece. Right sounds kind of like yeah, that's what you did you like you You went all in Who you talking to about this vision? And what what are people saying to you and how do you kind of move past that?

Gianna Sullivan 14:41 Well, I talked to everybody about the vision and and then I had a few friends that I knew that incorporated the company and started in Arizona actually 91 and then by I moved to the Pennsylvania Maryland area in 93 and then 94 actually launched in the Maryland area. And so yeah, that the the whole mission statement, I'm not afraid to talk about God or the reality of that. And, and the idea of restoring dignity Healing Through love is and I never was financially compensated all these years, I worked part time in different pharmacy jobs to support myself. But the idea is you you need to give without seeking constellation in return in the joy of that, whether it's a listening ear or a hug or a smile. It's It's amazing. So we just believe the mission of mission, Mercy believes that the moment you give, is the moment you actually received.

Brandon Handley 15:47 Yeah, I mean, there's a lot there's definitely a lot in the giving, right. The took a course, I think it was the Indian School of Business. And one of the one of the pieces that we had to do was, it wasn't just to kind of, I don't know, if you've ever done these kind of pay it forward, things were like, hey, whoever's behind me want to buy them a cup of coffee, but I don't want to see it, don't tell who it was. And you kind of sneak out of there, right? You don't want you to like peekaboo. And you're, and then instead of doing that, they said, stay there and witness it. Right? Because it's that giving that gift and seeing the suction that to me is is very rewarding. And I never really had had that experience before. So you know, definitely in giving gifts and and giving, but like, just the reward of giving something and seeing somebody truly appreciate it and enjoy it unexpectedly. Right, that gift of giving. Yeah. And then, you know, you the other part, too, is is giving without the expectation to get something back, knowing that your whatever you're doing, you're doing it from your heart and not with an expectation of return is that exactly in line with where you're at,

Gianna Sullivan 17:04 there are three, three levels of giving. One is you give because we have an obligation, there was something that needs to be done with our economy or population or whatever. For something like government, we have to do something about the issue. That's one level given the second level giving is you give and you volunteer, let's say because it makes you feel good. But then there's the third level, which is the level that I congratulate all the volunteers that mission mercy or any other organization is that you give without seeking compensation in return. Right, because you are the fiber, then you are joining you are, you're part of a family. You don't do something to feel good, or get paid to do something not out of obligation. But you do something, because you're just you're that family, you, you have a big heart, and you want to give people hope. And you want to extend the love to make them feel valued. So whether you see one person in a day, or 100 people, or more than that in a day, you treat each of those people as if they're the most important person, each person is if they're the most important person that comes to you that day. You they need to be valued and they need to feel loved. They need they'll know if you're authentic or not. Right.

Brandon Handley 18:40 Now, yeah, you can't fake it. And you'll know, right? You'll feel it in yourself. If you're faking it, it's kind of like a It's kind like a faded copy of the real thing. So one of my questions, those as you're heating this calling, what was there any fear involved of what people might think of what you're doing? Have some of those conversations again, you said your top of your career, and you said, You know what? I got this other thing I got to do, delivered by God. It's in my heart. I know it's the right thing to do. What's the response from people who are close to you?

Gianna Sullivan 19:25 Pretty amazing. And, you know, you become a loner. And there are a few that will stay by you. Maybe your family won't even stay by you have to have a conviction that stronger than that and and trusting God that what was told will unfold. And do you have to have that belief and faith and, and trust. So we all have that power. We're all empowered with self reliance and God. So it was it fee, I remember people leaving some money on my screen to pay my electricity bill. So it got to a point where it was a little. Yeah. Just doesn't happen right away. I mean, you have to work through the process. So, but it did turn around and things started slowly in a positive direction.

Brandon Handley 20:30 Right. And I just want people to hear that, right. I mean, because we still have, I think, this tribal instinct to not get thrown out of the tribe. For eight. If I if I get thrown out of the tribe, I'm on my own. The bears and the lions are gonna eat me, and I'm not gonna be able to do it. So I better stick with these guys, even though I've got this thing on my heart. And what you're talking about is, you know, kind of leaning into it, like you said, Trust that process. Follow what you believe to be true. And nobody else needs to believe what's on your heart except for yourself. Is that fair to say?

Gianna Sullivan 21:07 God, it will happen. If it isn't, then it will. How do you know it takes you just have to walk the process. You have to? I mean, there's certain things I mean, as a health care provider, I knew what needed to be done as a health care provider. If you're starting a medical mobile clinic, you know that things need to be done. You know that there's research geographically, you need to know where the need is, you need to know if there's, you know, if there's any where you have to learn about benefactors. I mean, you have to do your your homework investigation. And if you're starting a nonprofit, and I was in Arizona at that time, let me tell you, Arizona, full full of nonprofits, it's a competitive competition area, you got the heart sociation, you got the kidney, you got me everyone is competitive. And they are big time donors. So if you're trying to start a nonprofit, you know, people just companies just don't give to nonprofit unless you can show or prove that you have a track record. Okay, so you have to build up your clientele. Or you have to find the right benefactor who believes so much in your passion that they give because of what you believe, and they buy into what you love. And then that's what happened with me. And my first $100,000 came from a benefactor in Arizona.

Brandon Handley 22:46 Yeah, I mean, I think that it makes sense, right? If you're, if you're talking from the heart, and this is something that you believe you've done your work, you're gonna you know, I hate to say Providence, right, especially in the work that you're doing, but you kind of understand that that's possible. And even to your point where there's going to be taught, there's the possibility where somebody is leaving money on your screen for the electricity, you know, water, what are you thinking in, in? In that, when that's happening? Are you thinking, oh, man, I'm gonna have to get back into work, I'm gonna have to do this thing I can't keep going on? Or are you still open to faith and belief in that time? Just to talk to me a little bit about getting through those times humiliating,

Gianna Sullivan 23:30 okay, you're making six figures, and then you drop down and nothing. Chris, you have some money, of course saved or whatever to live off of. But the fact is, if your life is totally changing, and you're not networking within that type of business, then you're trying to launch something else. You got, you've got homework to do, and you've got to self check yourself. So a lot of people who believe if you have a divine encounter, that you've got it made that you know, everything is going to be flower, no, just perfect for you. That's not true. That's not true. I mean, God might give you a divine mission or even a message, but that doesn't mean that you're going to have your whole outlook in your private life. All explained and outlined for you, okay? So if anything, you have to be strong enough. Pray. As for me, I'm Catholic. So sacraments are important. Going to Mass every day praying the rosary, those things are fundamental, very critical. And then you have to be the light for others. Even if you don't feel like being the Liferay even if you don't feel good. There are people out there that don't feel good either. But maybe it's it's your light that makes somebody else feel better. Everyone wants to be loved. Okay, not and I'll tell you my family didn't really jump on board. It took us A couple more than a couple years, few years, several years to finally jump on board. So, alright, so is it a walk you walk alone? Well, if you believe that you live your life alone, and you don't believe God's with you walking that life with you, then, you know, I would regroup with yourself and know that you're never alone. You're never alone.

Brandon Handley 25:26 Yeah, I mean, that's, that's a big message from you know, spiritual dope podcast, right? It's big messages. You know, what you're talking about is, it's available to everybody. Right? It's a boils down to a choice and the decision whether or not to accept that into your life. And then once you do you find exactly what you said, you're not alone. Can you bet you maybe you've been trying to do it alone your entire life. But but then it boils down to a point of like, alright, well, apparently, there's something out there that that can help me. Right. And, and leaning into accepting that divine grace and accepting divinity and accepting that try to go at it alone. Even in any way, shape, or form, it's almost, it's almost full foolishness, right? To kind of think about it that way. So I appreciate you sharing, you know, kind of what that walk is like, right? Because I think that it's very important. I think that it's important to heed your calling, right? What is your calling to lean into it and to know that while there may be some areas of challenge that sounds like you know, you're living the life that you feel is driven by purpose, and you're doing it with intent, with love and kindness, and caring? And while you may have enjoyed your job, as a VP, would you say that this is more fulfilling for

Gianna Sullivan 26:52 you? Oh, my gosh, yeah, sure. Sure. Even you can even there's no measurement. It's timeless. It's the it's the fulfillment is is beyond is just, I mean, now, it's been so many years, it's just here, it doesn't matter what what work I do. My outlook is always to serve the most vulnerable or to help the underserved population or to help to general anybody who is hurting, and just needs to be refocused. Yeah, you know, if you're Christian anyway, if you're Christian, don't believe that Christ died for you. And then you're saying you're alone? Or you're, you know, then is almost blasphemous. How you Why would he? You know, what? The purpose being Franklin, if, if, if you don't believe in resurrection in our life, and there is a there's a real guy stand, for sure. So people think that if you don't see it, then it's not true. But now there's a lot of things you see and you think is true. A true?

Brandon Handley 28:08 Oh, yeah, for sure. For sure. I think I think too, you know, what we see less than 1% of the visible frequency, we hear less than 1% of, you know, the, you know, sound waves out there. I wouldn't be super surprised if, you know, we're walking through, you know, we'll call it like, bodyless souls or something, right? Like, you know, something like that. So, just because we can't see it doesn't mean that is not there. Just because we can't hear it doesn't mean that something's not talking to us. So I get it, you know,

Gianna Sullivan 28:44 purposes. Me it. You know, the Lord says, where your heart is there to is your treasure. If you have that flame in your heart going, keep it tight, so nothing blows out that flame.

Brandon Handley 29:01 Right? Yeah. I love it. I love it. Well, I want to I want to jump forward a little bit into your happiness work, your happiness coaching. So you're doing this you got your hands full with running when running this program running mom. Now, what makes you decide to now pick up and lean into happiness coaching?

Gianna Sullivan 29:24 Well, I actually when I was on mission, mercy I was I witnessed a lot of people who are very happy coming on board and being treated getting free prescriptions, free health care, free ancillary services, etc. free dental care. But that was the happiness. That was a relief for them. But interiorly more in debt in debt it within them was something still lacking. And so I wanted to them to know, you know how valued they really are, and how whole you can be and how you look at a circumstance, there is a happiness continuum. And so we can control our thoughts we can either be Teflon or Velcro, we have a way to, we know, our thoughts and our outcomes and how we interact, how we treat ourselves how we can temper our thoughts and our emotions can really make a difference today. And so I wanted to take the extra step. And in that is the spiritual component. So some people that I do happiness coaching with has the spiritual component, they want that spiritual component. And then there's the more secular just wanting to know the principles of the fast track to happiness or seven level appears like a house, there are seven cores to it. But the most two important one is, you know, the the foundation being held accountable, understanding what's happening, where's your mind, whereas your thoughts, and then after, can grasp that you move on to the heart, to the soul to relationships, you know, there's a roof, it's like a house. So each one is different, you can't do everyone in an hour, you know, you'd have to take the full

Brandon Handley 31:29 class. know for sure. So I mean, you've got let's, let's touch on the the seven pillars, right that you've got there, you touched on a little bit, but let's just kind of talk talk through them. And maybe, let's talk a little bit about how people are able to find pockets of happiness amidst the storm that we are talking about.

Gianna Sullivan 31:50 Okay, so that one is, okay. So the whole purpose of what something like this would be is, you want to learn some practical tools that you can use that you can every day, immediately try and raise your happiness level. Okay? So you want to try and understand what that key is to create a foundation of happiness. The idea of the happiness that I try and teach is happiness from the inside out. Happiness is a state of being, it's not something that happens that causes you happiness, the true happiness that I try and teach is happiness is a state of being, regardless of the circumstances that happen within your life. Now, again, Brendon is not like, I would tell you that if any, whatever, you might have a bad day. Okay, so does that mean that you know, you're gonna Oh, just be so chipper? No, I mean, you know, there's a way to look at things there's, there's, there is a connection that you can click on, in, in this happiness forum, there is feelings of contraction, you know, are you feeling resistance or fear? Or are you malaise? You know, there's a feeling of separation? That's something can contraction, you know, you're not feeling good? Or are you being expanded expansion is a big thing. You know, are you optim mystic Are you know, feeling flow well, being ease? Creativity, you're feeling good. So you're Oh, those are your tools of magnets one way or the other, that you can figure out if, if you're on the right course. So always, no matter what your sentiment is, double check your thoughts, feelings by expansion, or contraction. Okay, so because your brain has neural pathways, and those neuro habits are things that will give you different emotions, it's like addictions, you know? And that's why they say, Well, you know, I have a problem and you're going to go to whatever rehab or wherever it is, that 30 day process, they say it takes 20 to 30 days, is because you have these neural pathways in your brain chemicals. And so once you start thinking and a one way, then that becomes a habit, and then you start thinking that way and thinking that way and thing, and it becomes a natural habit, where it's always a negative, negative, and that's happens a lot with substance abuse. It's a natural response, because that's all they've been trained to do. And so you have to get out of that. You have to train your brain to think differently, different neural pathways different cellular membranes that memory pathways that will help train you to think opposite positive. And until that becomes the ordinary way of your thinking. So it takes about, you know, 2030 days, it doesn't happen overnight. So some people use a rubber band that when they think a negative thought, you say, hey, stop, and then you just distract yourself or think of something. So it's uncomfortable a little bit in the beginning until you get your, your, you know, roll on format of what it is. Some people I tell, go look at yourself in the mirror, and every day for 20 days, for one minute or two minutes, I want you to say how I'm beautiful, I'm intelligent, I'm, I'm handsome. I'm, you know, I'm, I'm, you know, creative, I help people, whatever. Yeah, I love my mom, I love my dad, I love you know, little kids have no problem doing that, you know, and they'll even clap their hands and do a dance as they're doing it. So we have to learn to love ourselves and be comfortable with ourselves, even when we don't feel good about ourselves, we can understand that there is a challenge or something happening out there. Well, it doesn't mean we can't change it, but we can certainly change our attitude about it. So the pillars are, you know, like I said, it's, I call it the home of happiness. Okay. So the top is your life purposes is the roof. Do you want me to continue on? Did you want to say some?

Brandon Handley 36:42 Looking for the mute button. I'll tell you what, let's let's walk through, right, let's walk through it, because I want to make sure that we talk about the pillars and definitely got thoughts and things we could talk about. But I just want to make sure that we leave time to walk through these pillars. And maybe we'll talk a little bit about those. Okay,

Gianna Sullivan 37:00 I don't want to go through every single one of them because they take too long.

Brandon Handley 37:04 Yeah, no, no, just hit them on a high level. John. Okay.

Gianna Sullivan 37:08 So are we on mute? Are we so

Brandon Handley 37:11 we're on the go?

Gianna Sullivan 37:17 Here Amazing how you doing? Okay, so you had the life purpose, we had a roof over our heads, you know, we don't want a leaky roof. You know, in a hurricane situation, I think we have a roof over our head, right? So, do we have a roof, we look at that, then we have our mind, their pillars mind, our mind, our thoughts, our heart, our heart is the key, the key to the soul. And where, like I said, Where your treasure is there too as you're okay. And then we're the body. Of course, that is if your body is in alignment, you know, quantum light, even you know, a lot of people do yoga and stretch, but the body is important to balance. So and then there's the soul. And the soul is your deep intimacy with God. And different relations, I mean, different religions. So it is your overall essence of who you are and your soul being free. Because it's captive within your body. So that soul lives forever, and you make a choice of where your soul goes. So then there's CEUs 12345, okay, then there's the responsibility that we call the foundation to the house. So that means being held accountable for some of the things that you do or not do, okay? So you, you want to be held accountable for things that you have done. And we look at that. And then there's the last is the, the garden of the house, the garden is your relationships, and how you choose them. And whether you desire or not, it's important to choose what is purposeful for not only you but for the other party. Pretty much that's it in an in a nutshell. So the idea is that we try and teach to do what you love and love what you do. And, sure,

Brandon Handley 39:41 I mean, I think one of the one of these pieces that I know that I personally struggled with in the past so every once in a while struggle with is you know, is that roof, right? You know, like you've done you found your passion and you're following your inspiration and your serving others. How, what are some ways that you teach people to find their purpose?

Gianna Sullivan 40:12 Well, everyone has a dream. And there's a way to live your dream. And you have to embrace your desires. And based off your dreams and desires, you try and seek to fulfill them, and find out what that channel is to do it. And remember, you have to use that continuum happiness chart thing I said, the expansion contraction. If you're really unhappy, if you're doing something that you're expanding and embracing and wanting to do, you'll be pretty low spirited, you know, if you're happy, well, let's put it this way, you could be happy for bad reasons. And that happiness is if you're using unhealthy things to just make you an antidote to make you kind of feel externally happy. But then there is the other happiness, which is, you have a happy for a good, good reason. And that's really the satisfaction of what you're doing, you're healthy, you have healthy expectations. And that then starts moving over to the real and which my desire for people is to have happiness with no reason at all, regardless of what ever is, you have an interior piece. And even if there is a storm, it will balance back because you know, the practices to put in place to maintain that equity and equanimity.

Brandon Handley 41:55 Last little, wasn't that one I was tripped over? No, no worries, no worries. I think that that I mean, I think that's great. I think that, you know, trying to understand what your purpose is. And using using that contraction, expansion feeling to kind of be your guiding principle is what I'm hearing you say, right? You know, and like, do I feel like I'm expanding and opening my heart, right? To what it is, I'm doing my feeling in touch with God source universe with this work that I'm doing, or is what I'm doing, kind of eating me alive, right contraction, and just kind of making me shrink and, and not live to the fullest of who I am. And when I when I read a little bit on the pillar of the body, you talk about making yourself happy, nourish your body, energize your body, tune into your body's wisdom, but I'm just curious, if you're also talking about the idea of getting these expansive thoughts in our neural pathways and our body being the alchemical, you know, producer that it is, right. And when we have these good or more positive thoughts, we're creating positive nutrients for ourselves, that our cells become addicted to those positive cells. So in the same way, they would become addicted to the negative energy, right? But just different chemicals, is that what you're saying?

Gianna Sullivan 43:24 And the body component will, if you're healthy, will feed into that the the cellular neural path pathways that we were talking about is really the mind aspect that goes into behavior. And you know, attitude is always a big thing to happiness. So if you have a good attitude, you know, it's expected to that if you have a good attitude, it'll happiness will come. But beyond that, the behavior and the neural pathways, the cellular negative responses that happen and how you can create new neural pathways. That is, it might be a conscious effort in the beginning, but then later on, it will just become a normal response. It's a cellular memory that happens. And then it just unconsciously clicks in. So it kind of combines with the brain as always being the big thing because you're always thinking negative thoughts from the day before. Once you can cap that. That's why we start with the the foundation of what's happened to you and then your mind what's going on there. Then as it goes to your heart and blossoms. You find out how much empowerment that you have in your love that can turn something positive, or something hatreds, almost satanic. It's amazing. From water, I teach about water theory from the major scientists,

Brandon Handley 44:57 the Hmong Emoto Yeah, when he's done

Gianna Sullivan 45:01 the, the water experiences of ice and stuff that kids will just put their heart and good things and you get this beautiful image and negative is almost like disgust. And then, but then then you get to the body. So by the time you get to the body, you're already practicing, you got your mind, and you got your heart. So it's already like the infusion of a fiber that just kind of flows because, you know, everyone knows if you exercise or stretch or whether even walk or anything like that, what kind of a beat your, you know, circulation and kind of get you going makes you feel high. So, then then, then that's how then to the soul is, then it's just a combination of, of absorption of God's love. And you're able to receive abundantly.

Brandon Handley 45:57 Yeah, no, I'm in right, definitely in a love it. Definitely, I think that the work that you're doing both with your mom and with your happiness, work, you've got a great passion for it, it comes through, I'm enjoying the conversation, for sure. Unfortunately, we have to kind of dial it down and work our way out. So to that end, jhana what I usually like to do is get around to the whole idea that this is kind of like a spiritual speed dating show, right? And then somebody is going to tune in and be like, you know, should I should I work with Gianna and you know, the the way you answer one or two of these questions, spiritual Bachelorette number one, it could be you know, this could put it all on the line. So let's just pick a random one. And I think this is a good one. I don't ask too many people who define themselves as Christians this question. So I think it's a good one. Is current religion serving its purpose? Now feel free to expand?

Gianna Sullivan 47:02 Well, I think with the COVID. And what's happened, I think a lot of I'm really disappointed in how a lot of the pastors and religious people have downsized it, and we're afraid even missionaries, you know, no one wanted to touch some, everyone's afraid to be with one. If God exists and is with you, then where is your faith and trust? So I think things could have been worked a little better. I think the element of fear and media has caused a tremendous impact. And I'm disappointed I'm on that. So that would be my answer. I don't think it it could serve better. I hope it does get better.

Brandon Handley 47:45 Fair enough. Would you say that there's a kind of an erosion of faith then and in this in this crisis, where, you know, if you are truly of faith, then you act that way. I guess it's,

Gianna Sullivan 47:58 again, it's fear. And why does that fear come in there? Why did you? Okay, so something happens and Okay, me, it says, You got this, this is like, plague or whatever. And then okay, lets everyone freak out, get it, get the vaccination, without doing any research, no, FDA approved, nothing to understand what it is. And now we just found out you in Maryland, 40% of the people just recently have died of COVID from being fully vaccinated. So because the free cells, the T cells that are free are bound in so they can't fight your immune, they can't fight the in fact, yeah. But anyway, so it's fear. Now, think about it. If you're rational, and you're going to do some, you know, stop, just look at it. Okay? Just, you know, take precautions, and just Alright, let's look at it, and research it, find out information, learn about the pharmaceutical, so that that caused a lot of problems from fear for religion. Unbelievable. It was just amazing. And I I, personally, I'm disappointed on that.

Brandon Handley 49:22 Now, Fair enough, fair enough. That did not go the way that I thought that it may. And that's, that's great, right? I mean, that's part of the reason for these conversations. Let's see. Let's go with what is it that prevents people from living to their full potential

Gianna Sullivan 49:42 lack of self love, lack of trust and confidence. You have to be confident not only in yourself, people see if you if people want what you have if you're the light of God. So part of that confidence. You may not have all the answers yours, but you are a spiritual person of prayer and love. Yeah,

Brandon Handley 50:09 I mean, and I guess accepting that, you know, the church child, oh god, is that one way that you can begin to live to the fullest of your potential? Which is absolutely

Gianna Sullivan 50:22 I mean, self love, you have to be kind to yourself, when people are not counting to themselves. They're overworked, they're underpaid, or now they have to resign. Now they're pressured. I mean, what where does it? Where does it end to? That's why I think the storms coming is like you said, there are people are ready to revolt. There. There are people that know something's not right here. And there are people Danford that truth. Right,

Brandon Handley 50:51 right. Now it's true. All that being said, we do know that we can find pockets of happiness, we do know that there's somebody that they can reach out to, to, to try to understand what is it you know, so maybe, maybe you feel like you're down? Or you're out? Maybe you feel like you're in such in such a situation? I guess a good question, John. It was like, you know, who would you say right now, is your ideal client for this happiness coaching space.

Gianna Sullivan 51:18 Anyone who has a question, anyone that just desire, openness to to really be fulfilled in life, it's a freedom. It's, it's a freedom of peace. It's amazing. And that's not to say negative things would happen. But it's how you react to is how you think the process is how you work the process. And ultimately, it's it's you. It's it's all about you. Okay, it's not about me. I'm happy.

Brandon Handley 51:54 Not it's I think, to your point, right. It's, it's, you've been given all the tools, but you may not know how to use them.

Gianna Sullivan 52:03 We all have those gifts. Who doesn't have a gift? You have a gift, Brandon, that I I would like to have? And maybe I have a gift that you want to have? The puzzle needs everybody to complete it.
