In Riverside County, there have been seven hepatitis A cases reported and no deaths so far this year.

The best way to prevent transmission of the illness is to practice good hygiene, like washing your hands thoroughly after using the bathroom, and getting the hepatitis A vaccine, which is available from many medical providers.

Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula is one of the major employers in Southwest Riverside County.

The resort is currently undergoing a major expansion that will lead to many new service jobs for the area.

400 new employees were hired earlier this year and the resort is looking to fill another 200 jobs when they hold their job fair November 9th at the resort.

Dr. Madeline Sherak is the author of a new educational children’s book called "Superheroes Club."

There are no capes in the Superheroes Club just children who reach out to other children to provide friendship.

With the help of parents and teachers ordinary kids can learn to show empathy towards others who might be different. Everyone is unique in his or her own way and the characters in the book celebrate the fact that people are different.

Joely Proudfit Professor and Department Chair of the American Indian Studies Department at Cal State San Marcos came on the program to talk about the 5th Annual California’s American Indian and Indigenous Film Festival November 2 – 4 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula.

The three-day festival kicks off November’s Native American Heritage Month and is a way to showcase the many Native American influences in popular culture.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

We talked with cancer specialist Dr. Mohammad Ziari from City of Hope Cancer Center in Corona about breast cancer.
