Spirit of Truth/The Bible on Trial

Are We There Yet?~ Anticipation coupled with delay almost always creates anxiety. We have all experienced this phenominon either with children or as children traveling to a cherished location such as an amusement park or a vacations venue. The longer that the trip takes the closer together comes the expression from the back seat, "Are we there yet?" The longer the time that it takes to get there, the stronger the anticpation for the expected delight at the finish. And with that hightened sence of anxiety comes a corresponding sence of relief when the long epected location of the event, or the actually event itself comes into sight.  Yet what if the expected event gives no notice of its arrival, except that it has already happened? What if the expected events that you have been told to expect have already been accomplished, but you didn't notice? What if you have been told this sweet event is going to happen so often that you have become immune to it's siren call? It is difficult to not become jaded when 'wolf' has been cried too often.  So don't give up hope for the future, because we have record in the past that God has kept all of His promises to His Kingdom, and the relief of the promise Peace and Prosperity is truely just a moment away, even though we don't know when that moment will occur. Take heart, Stand Firm, Be of Good Courage -  because God will never go back on His promises to His Kingdom!

We will continue our discussion of where we are in time, and what will be happening in the near future, what happened in the near past that changed future history from the Death Road prophecies to the Life Road prophecies.

Today is Good Friday, and I have posted an article about the actural timing of 'Easter' that draws a different conclusion about the resurrection of Jesus than is commonly held in the Church. This is for your information only, and does not reflect the ongoing topic that Rich Sterling has been dealing with these past months. But given that this is Easter weekend I thought you might like to read something that is different that what you will hear in Church this coming Sabbath or Sunday. Truth is simply what it is.  Join Spirit of Truth Ministry today April 15, 2022 for our program The Bible on Trial, at 10AM PDT: blogtalkradio.com/sot.

The Masters~ In the world of golf there are four major tournaments played each season, and the most challenging event that takes place in the U.S.A. is The Masters that is played at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta Georgia. Along with The Open that is played in Britain, The Masters is one of the most intimidating and difficult tournaments to win, because in order to do so you must not only beat the greatest players in the world, you must also beat a golf course that is designed to intimidate players in all aspects of their games; driving, approach, chipping, pitching, and putting, and wind direction. But the most important aspect of the game that is by far the most challenging is the mental game, where there is always a decision on every shot, on every hole, between risk and reward, with hidden enticements that can lure a player into making devastating mistakes, hidden inside of the distraction of the stunning natural beauty of the course and it's layout. One mistake at just the right time can lay waste to and otherwise great round of golf, making recovery and winning impossile. So to win the Masters means that the player has to not only overcome the golf course, but the limitaions and fears in their own mind. The challenges facing all of us with respect to eternal life and salvation make The Masters pale by comparison. Winning through to righteousness means a much bigger prize than a trophy and a big check; it means that you will live throughout eternity in the Kingdom of God. But what if you believe that you are winning the contest of wills between God and Satan, but are not, and actually believe a lie as if it is the truth? What if winning means losing, and losing means winning, and you don't realize it? What if you believe the course to victory is wide and easy, but it is really narrow and difficult. What if you are playing the wrong game?

War is Messy! When we think of the war we are now dealing with, both literally and spiritually, there is one thing we can say about both, and that is that war is messy. As General Von Clausewitz said in his bood "About War",  'No batlte plan survives first contact with the enemy'! This is much less true concerning the spiritual war we are in, because as prophecy intimates in all it's forms, God wins! Yet as we have seen in the current 'operation' in Eukraine, there are lots of things going on sub rosa that beligh what we see in the open. Is Russia and Putin the monster that we have been told he is by the MSM, or will he be declared a hero at some point in the future, when all of the things that the deep state has been doing in the Eukraine comes to light? This is also a question we need to ask concerning Bible Prophecy and what has happened with regards to the Life Road prophecies supplanting the Death Road prophecies of the end that are seen in both Daniel and Revelation. If you are a regualr listener to our programs you are aware that we have change time-lines from the prophecies of death and destruction of Revelation 7-9, 13 and on, to the prophecies seen in Revelation 10, and Daniel 2. Understanding this shift in the spiritual war that is being waged between Good and Evil will go along way in understanding where we are, and why we should be worried less about the ultimate outcome than we believed in the past. Perspective can clean us the mess that has been made of the understanding of what is really happening behind the scenes in prophecy, just as it wll when we look behind the curtain of what is happening in the Eukraine, and in the world today. Take heart, for and thank God that sometimes what you see is often not what you get when dealing with the truth of prophecy. Stay tuned.

Missed Connection~ I have been working on my 2006 Ford F-150 for nearly two weeks now. We bought this truck about 6 months ago, and I have slowly but surely doing maintainance and repairs such that the 170,000 miles that are on the clock will not be an issue moving forward for the next 100K miles. I started with the changing the differential fluid, transmission fluid and filter, replace the shocks, and worked on other small items. These past two weeks I have changed the drive belt, tensioners, idler pullies. I even had a mechanic friend of mine put on new anti-sway bar end links and bushing because I now my limits, and leave suspension repairs to experts.  As part of these repairs I also installed a new alternator, because while the old one worked, it was making a slight bearing noise and I decided to not risk having it go bad while on the road. I decided to also put in a new battery at the same time, as the old one had two flat cells (checked with a hydrometer). Everything went well with the install, and on the Ford 4.6L engine it is a relatively simple R & R (remove and replace). The only thing I didn't put into gear was my brain. When I started the engine to check my work, the battery light came on. I did my checks to see what I missed, and literally couldn't see anything. I took it to Auto Zone (where we got the battery and alternator) and they did an alternator test, and it was getting 13.8 volts, but it was not charging the battery. I checked everything, no joy. There was two days of this misery, until I realized I had forgotten to plug in the alternator to the computer when I made the install. One 'little' thing that I didn't see kept the electrical system from working.  We have all missed connections in our spiritual lives that have prevented salvation from working as it should in our lives. One 'little' connection can make all the difference.

Easy Expert~ Yesterday after our program The Bible on Trial finished at 11AM, a friend of mine came over to the house to help both Rick and me to deal with some car issues that have been presenting for a while. Ricks little red car has an ongoing coolant leak that he could not find, and I have been working on our 6 month 'new' 2006 Ford F-150 little by little to get it squared away such that I know it will do the job, and also go the distance. I have found that expert help (in many things) is often called for when dealing with either unknowns (in Rick's case), or in having an expert do a job that even though I could do it, I am no longer physically capable. For me climbing underneath a vehicle is actually dangerous, and I avoid when posslbe. While I was setting up my truck for the needed repair that Richard would do for me (sway-bar bushings and end-links), and new Iridium spark plugs that I would do while he was doing the other job, Richard was giving advice to Rick about the coolant issue.  This thing that I really like about Richard is that he is an 'Easy Expert'; He gives advice, and does the job, without making you feel like a fool for not having thought of that solution yourself. And when I got stuck trying to remove that last two spark plugs from a very tight space, he had the tools in his truck that I needed but did not have. He really helped both of us in a way that gave us confidence that we actually could fix the problems. When we confront people with issues involving Truth and Lies we need to be the 'Easy Expert', Why use a sledge hammer when a ball peen hammer will do the job better. A gentle approach is often the best way to allow a person to see the truth, and figure it out on their own, without accusing them of being an idiot. If a person is open to the truth, and there is enough time, they will see the truth when presented. If not, then use a bigger hammer.

Count on it~ In dealing with events in the news of the world today, the one thing you can know for sure is that more often than not what you see and hear is not what you should be getting. There is almost always a hidden agenda in the reporting of events by what is commonly known as the Main Stream Media (henceforth MSM) that supports on side and denigrates and vilifies the opposing side, and makes it virtually impossible for the casual 'newsie' to find truth in any reporting. Not to put too fine a point on it, but if people have not been exposed to alternate and reliable sources for news these people will thoroughly believe lies as if the are the 'God's honest truth', because they have no frame of reference with which to judge the quality of the news they are being shown. This is especially true concerning the reporting of the news coming out of the Eukraine. According to the MSM the Russians are deliberately and without regard to non-combatants attacking hospltals, schools, churches, and even movie theaters filled with people, and by these accounts there have been thousands of civilian deaths of innocent people trying to escape the carnage. But WHAT IF the things that are being shown by the MSM are not true, and are not reality? Is this even possible? When news is agenda driven in order to support a narrative that the Deep State needs to put in place a 'One World Order', ANYTHING is possible.  This is true today in narrative based news, just as it was during the time when Jesus was on earth. The leaders of Israel had a narrative that said that THEY were the only ones with the truth that was 'fit to print', and this upstart itinerant preacher named Jesus was just some nutcase that didn't know what He was taling about, and was fomenting decent against the leadership of Israel.  Satan has used this method with great success from the beginning. Count on it!
