Spirit of Truth/The Bible on Trial

Party Talk~ My wife and I went to a St. Patricks day party at the home of a good friend yesterday evening, and as I listened to the conversations that were occuring between the guests the primary topic was (of course) what was occurring in the Eukraine. Every single person there was horrified as to what happening (me included), and ever person there (except me) was blaming Russia and Putin for the plight of the people of the Eukraine. It was all I could do to keep my mouth shut, and not say a single word in response. The people at the party are my friends, although some only casually. Every one of them (except me) gets their news from the MSM, and believes everything that is being shown them as being the truth. This includes my lovely and gracious wife. Everyone there believes that the President of the Eukraine is a hero, and that Putin is an evil bastard that is only interested in subjugating the people of the Eukraine to his evil will. My friends at this party firmly believe that what they are being shown on TV is actually what is happening, and if I had opened my mouth and told them the truth I would have been an instant pariah. No one at the party would want to know the truth about the Eukraine, because it would interfere with what they already believe about what is going on there. No one there at the party would believe that Putin is the hero, and no one would believe that what Putin and the Russians are doing is saving the world from the horror that would occur to them if the One World Order (Deep State) were to come into full control of the world. The world has turned crazy in believing lies as if they are truth, and defending those lies with righteous fervor. There will soon come a time when the willingly ignorant people of the world will be shown the truth about what is happening in the world, and they will be shocked and dismayed when they learn how badly they were fooled.

Best Meal Ever~ Last night my wife and I went to a high end steak house for dinner. My daughter gave us a gift card as an anniversary present, but my wife wanted to combine the dinner as part of my birthday celebration, so we went to the restaurant yesterday, my birthday. It was literally the best meal I have eaten 'out' in the past 50 years or so. The last time I had a meal this good was in the late '60's at a Michelin 2 star restaurant in Los Angeles that is no longer in operation. The salads, the bread (oh my), the sides, the wine for my wife (and in my case a wonderful 16 year old single malt scotch), the desserts, the coffee, and of course the steaks were all perfect. Upon delivering my steak (an aged 14 oz. New York Strip) my waitress asked if I wanted some steak sauce, and I said, "Why would I ruin a work of art by adding anything to it beyond what the chef prepared."  As with any high end restaurant everything was A-La-Carte, so Becky and I splurged (which is what my daughter wanted us to do) and added 4 sides to our meal-asparagus, mashed potatoes, sauted mushrooms, and Au Gratin potatoes (the house specialty). The embiance in the room was lively, and a little noisy, but not so much that my wife and I could not carry on a stimualting conversation. It was a magnificent evening. And yet as good as this meal was it is just a foretaste of the meal that those who become righteous in fact through the process of Santcification will experience when we all get together around the heavenly table in the earth made new. And before that becomes a reality we will experience glorious times together as family and friends do, after the wars and strife we are now experiencing are set aside in favor of the fulfillment of the prophecies of Peace and Prosperity of Revelation 10 and Daniel 2. We are so close to this happening I can almost taste it. The Wedding Supper of the Lamb is near at hand.

RE-brithday~ Most Christains that I have met can tell you the day, time and circumstance when they were 'born-again'. This is especially true for the Evangelical and Penticostal branches of Christianity, that put a premium on the emotional component of salvation-how you feel about salvation is much more important than the learning and knowing how you are 'saved'.  Now this is all well and good as far as it goes, yet as Spirit of Truth Ministry has iterated on our programs becoming 'saved' is not a 'once-and-done' proposition; it is a lifetime goal where abiding in the words of Jesus becomes the operative identity that informs the person in the 'way, the truth and the life' that leads to becoming righteous in fact, not righteous by faith because of grace.   As Rick has stated many times our world has gone through a re-birth, moving from the prophecies of the Death Road in Revelation, where all hell was to have broken loose during a horrible time of trouble (which will now never happen), into a new reality of Peace and Prosperity as seen in Daniel 2, that will happen as soon as the final elements of the demise of the Satan's kingdom take place. We can all see this playing out in the Eukraine, in the final throes of the pandemic, and with the Deep State Players doing their best to stave off the inevitable end to their rule over the world. Soon we will see the glorious re-birthday of the world into a place of joy and light, peace and prosperity. But before that will happen there is still a time when the Evil One will try and salvage what is left of his kingdom, the end of which has already been assured.  Join Spirit of Truth Ministry today, March 11, 2022 at 10AM PDT for another excursion into the truth, on our program The Bible on Trial, where we will continue the study into the shift from the Death Road to the Life Road, on; blogtalkradio.com/sot.

What would you do? ~ ~ If everything you believed about salvation through Jesus Christ was wrong? ~ If everything you trusted to be true about good and evil was the opposite? ~ If everything you understood about politics in the world was not what it seemed on the surface? ~ If those people that you just knew were good turned out ot be evil, and those you thought were evil were actually good? ~ If nothing you now believe with all your heart and soul, mind and spirit, were proven false? Would you crash and burn, give up on life, and go into hiding and cry? Would you rail that what you were experiencing was unfair, and that God would never allow this to happen, because He loves you? Would you shut your eyes and ears, close your mind and say to the universe that "This can't be happening to me?" Would you feel abandoned by God, and because your world was turned upside down state that God no longer exists? What I have just described happens everyday to lots of people the expectations of which do not match the reality of the moment. Good and Bad things happen to people on both sides of the divide between truth and lies, and it becomes a challeng to decipher and decode what is truth from what is not. It is for THIS REASON that Jesus said He came into the world, "To testify to the truth. Eveyone that is already OF THE TRUTH will hear My voice." (John 18:36). It is for THIS REASON that we need a gold standard for truth against which we can measure everything, that standard to which we go to when times are tough, and the world is going crazy. It is for THIS REASON that Jesus brought the words of the Father to earth, and gave those words to His own eyewitness disciples, so we could learn them and have peace even when the storms of life rage about us.  It is for This Reason that Spirit of Truth Ministry exists.

Deception~ Have you ever heard the expression, "Not everything is as it seems"? This statement describes perfectly what the world is now experiencing with the 'war' in the Eukraine. If you watch MSM at all you are probably feeling as if the world is about to come to an end in a giant fireball of nuclear holocaust, and the only way to stop it is to sanction Russia into oblivion, or start world war three and have the 'civilized' countries gang up on Russia and China and bomb them into the stone age. Even a sitting U.S. Senator (a Republican no less) has called for the assasination of the Russian President. If anyone had said this about the US President they would be in jail. So WHAT IS GOING ON? Is the world really on the brink of disaster of epic proportion, or is there something happening that is based on unseen and unreported (in the MSM) activity that is setting the world up for a new beginning into a bright, peaceful and prosperous new beginning? According to the way we at Spirt of Truth Ministry (e.g. Rick Sterling) read Bible prophecy, and as we have been discussing since August 2021, all prophetic indicators point to a soon coming time of peace and prosperity such as the world has not seen since Eden. But how can this be with so much turmoil present in the world? Why isn't this information getting out to where it needs to be, so that everyone knows that God's plans are being fulfilled right before our very eyes? Not all that is seen is real, and not all that is hidden is lies. The truth is that what we are seeing in the world is the effort of the Deep State, Dark Side, and Satan, to keep the people of the world on edge so they don't look in the right place to find the truth.  This is truly a spiritual war between truth and lies, and not guns and bombs, and although it appears that lies are winning the truth will win out in the end.

"Look once and see the surface; look twice and see what is beneath!" - D. Neufeld “Things are not always what they seem; the first appearance deceives many; the intelligence of a few perceives what has been carefully hidden.”― Phaedrus (Roman Philosopher and Fabalist) It is times such as this that I really miss our good friend past Dr. Rich Humpal. Rich was a firebrand that when he got his teeth into an issue, and he would not let it go until he had researched and found out the whole truth about it. During the early days of social media, when there were just a few platforms for discussions Rich was 'deplatformed' several times because the people that ran these forums were unable to counter the comments that Rich would post.  His 'handle' was Rock-roller, because he would leave no stone unturned until he had found the truth. If he were here today he would be in 'hog-heaven' with what is going on with the Deep State in in the world, and with what is going on between Russia and the Eukrane. He would be the first to tell you that all is not what it seems, and what is being told to you in the Main Stream Media. On the program yesterday Rick showed the connection between Daniel 2, Daniel 7, Revelation 10, and what is going on with respect to the alternate understanding of these prophecies and what we see happening in the world. What we are being shown is overt war between an autocratic dictator and a small 'innocent' country that is being unfairly overrun by a mighty power bent on conquest. Butt this is only the first look that the movers and shakers of this world want you to see.  But IF you roll the rocks away and take a second look you just might find that what is beneath the surface is different than what you have been shown. Doing this would make all the difference in understanding where we are in time.

Word Games~ The latest social craze that has swept Twitter, and that has now been bought by the New York Times for millions of dollars, is the cute little word game WORDLE. It is a word guessing game that has captured the hearts and minds of millions of people world wide. The rules are simple and straight forward, and by all accounts addictive. It is fascinating to me that this is true in a society that spends very little of their free time reading anything. Reading anything worth while takes time and energy; doing WORDLE takes minutes, and is really more of a guessing game that doesn't require any high leve thought or analyisis. It's just fun. So why am I writing about an innocuouse game while the world is exploding with a war in the Ukraine, and strife, unrest, and protests? The reason is that this game reflects the current mind set of a large portion of the population that is not directly affected by the socio-political unrest in specific places; people long for a means of escape from the chaos they see in the news or that they live with everyday, and wish to go to a place that is innocent and peaceful, a place that requires no hard decisions, no planning ahead for emergencies, no trying to decipher what a politician or a religious leader is trying to get them to believe. The world is full of word games. These games affect the way people think and how they behave. The words from the MSM (main stream media) cause people to believe things that make them uncomforatble and worried. Politicians say words that try to make people feel that there is hope, when the people only see worry. The answer (truly) is in the words that Jesus brought to this earth from His Father, and which He geve to His own eyewitness disciples. His words bring peace in the midst of the storm. His words bring do not bring chaos, they bring clarity and truth to a truth staved world.  Jesus does not play word games.

Join Spirit of Truth Ministry today February 19, 2022 for our program The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling. We will be 'on air' at 10AM PDT on: blogtalkradio.com/sot. Learn the truth about what is going on in the world by looking a prophecy from a totally different angle. Rather than being frightened by what you see going on in the world you will see why we can look forward to a time of peace and prosperity that is different than what we have been told by the main stream Christian religion.

Endings and Beginnings~ Whenever there is a beginning there is and ending; and when there is an ending there often follows a new beginning.  A wonderful quote from Kermit the Frog as Bob Cratchet in the movie The Muppet Christmas Carol describes this situation perfectly: "Life is full of meetings and partings." Saying goodby to someone or something you love is difficult and often bittersweet, weven when you know that parting has purpose. Becky and I are now days away from saying goodby to our lovely cat Molly, who, as I mentioned previously, has cancer in her lower jaw, and is now starting to have difficulty swallowing. I have made a promise to all of our pets that we will take care of them in both life and death, and that they will never suffer needless pain. That time for Molly is almost here. When I experience this type of bittersweet pain, knowing that we are doing the right thing for Molly but feel deeply about the loss of a friend that has been a part of our family for over 10 years, it reminds me of what God the Father experienced during the death of His Son Jesus. The Father and Jesus knew the ultimate outcome long before the action taken on that fateful day. What we experience when we must put a beloved animal down and what God experienced with Jesus is that while Molly will not be in pain during this process, but God could not prevent the pain and suffering His Son experienced before He executed Jesus in order to pay the penalty for the disobedience of His Kingdom. The Cross did not kill Jesus, the Father did, so that Jesus could save His Righteous Kingdom from the penalty imposed upon the Kingdom of God when Adam and Eve turned that Kingdom over to Satan in the Garden. Even though the outcome was sealed and sure, the pain was real for both the Father and the Son.  we will have no more bittersweet partings if we choose obedience to the will of the Father, as did Jesus.

Repairs~ My 'new' 2006 Ford F-150 is on ramps in my driveway waiting for me to start a repair process to correct a problem by changing the fuel filter. I noticed (like dropping a hammer on a bare toe) that although my mileage had never been good, it started to get really bad recently; 'bad' as in the 10 mpg range. In talking to a friend that has this same engine in his Crown Vic I should be getting about 15-16 around town and 18-19 overall, so something is very wrong. It has been my policy to not throw parts as a repair, but in this case a clogged fuel filter could be a good start. We will see.  This situation got me thinking about what it would take for a person to rethink their spiritual identity. Changing anything that has been a part of your life for your whole life can be traumatic, and very uncomfortable. Humans have a tendency to try to hide from pain. We often wait for the pain to be relevant before we decide to go the the dentist to get a tooth repair; or go to our doctor to get help dealing with back pain. The same is true in our spiritual lives. The mantra "Go along, to get along" can easily become a problem if we let a situation fester fo the point of pain. But 'what if' we neglect our true need for changning our spiritual identity because we have been given and analgesic (pain killer) that masks the symptoms of a deadly spiritual disease to the point that unless we do something radical we will be excluded from Eternal Life because we simply '"don't know what we don't know"? The pain killer of which I speak is the concept that we are "saved by grace through faith!" This concept that was formulated by Satan and administered by the 'Apostle' Paul, and was designed to keep Christians from seeing the truth found in the Words of Jesus. This is a good place to start the repair process of Sanctificaion.
