When do lies actually become truth? Most of us would say 'never'; we would say that it doesn't matter how long lies are spoken they can never become truth. But in the practical world of religion and politics this is simply not the case. The USA is in a midterm election cycle, and the rhetoric is flying fast and loose on TV adds, in political speeches, and in accusations of wrong doing, or the rebuttals to the same. The closely held positions of political opponents have actually cause friends and family to desolve those friendships and family ties in favor of 'ideals' about how our country should function. And there is also an intersection of the political and religious with regards to immigration, where religious people that abhore the poverty and hunger of the less fortunate that live outside of the borders of the USA, want to allow everyone that comes to America free access across our boarders so that we can 'take care' of them. The Kingdom of Heaven has borders, and those borders are well defined and permanent as specified by the King of that Kingdom, Jesus Christ. But there are a lot of well meaning and sincere people of religion that have decided on their own and without proof, that the Kingdom of Heaven is open to everyone and anyone that simple declares that "Jesus is their Lord". They say essentially that there are no borders of the Kingdom of God, and that all are welcome to enter even though they are full of sin.  Spirit of Truth Ministry shows that borders matter when it comes to entry into the Kingdom of God. Join us for our program today and learn how to tell the difference between what is real and what is imagination when it comes to crossing the border into Eternal Life in the Kingdom of God.

What do you believe? This seems a simple question, but the answers are certainly not simple if what you believe will affect your eternal life. If you ask this question of a Christian one of the answers that you will receive will be that the person believes they are saved by grace through faith. So in reality faith and belief go hand in hand for most Christians; the more faith needed to justify proposition the stronger the belief. One of the things this type of belief system requires is a faith so strong that no proof to the opposite can overcome that faith. And there, (thanks you Shakespeare) "is the rub"! To any honest person the idea that you need more faith in order to believe something is a red flag that what you are believing needs serious introspection. The presented idea by the apostle Paul is that the more sin that needs to be dealt with, the more faith needed for a corresponding belief that your sins are forgiven, and the more faith the greater the belief. So the more sin you have the more grace you recieve to overcome that sin. Does this sound right? Did Jesus teach this to His own eyewitnesses? Did His eyewitnesses promote this in their gospels? There are answers to those questions that Spirit of Truth Ministry answers by using the very words that Jesus received from His Father, that He brought from heaven and gave to His disciples (one of whom was NOT Paul or Luke), who wrote them down for us to read and understand. Do we really need more than the words of Jesus? Do we really need to have His words explained by 'experts', or are His words enough for us to use to come to an understanding of the Truth? Join Rick and the team as we search for and find answers to these and other questions about how we need to go about the working out of our salvation "with fear and trembling". http://blogtalkradio.com/sot.

At first glance, it would seem to be presumptuous to Christians for anyone to feel the need to 'test the Bible for Truth'. This would 'seem' to indicate that truth is not actually IN the Bible, and this is simply not true. BUT (a conjucntion that modifies that which came before), while there certainly is truth in the Bible, there is also lies? WHAT? How can you possibly say that? God would never allow there to be lies in the universally acclaimed repository for truth for Christians, would He? The parable/prophecy about the Wheat and the Weeds belies that as a fact. According to Jesus, the Enemy put Weeds into the Wheat field that the Master planted before He went on a journey (Matt. 13:24-30). Jesus planted the wheat of Truth in the same location wherein at a later time Satan sowed the seeds of lies.  There is credible evidence that after Jesus returned to Heaven the Devil 'converted' an evil man to promote a 'different gospel' from the Gospel of the Kingdom taught by Jesus to His own eyewitness disciples. This man, that never knew Jesus in the flesh, was accosted by a 'spirit being' on the road to Damascus, and was convinced by lies and subtrifuge that this being was 'indeed' the son of God. And right there the Weeds were sown in with the Wheat.  So yes, there are lies in the Bible; but if it was not possible for anyone that loves and practices the truth to actually FIND the Truth in the Bible, then Jesus lied, and this is just not possible. The first thing that a person must do to find the truth is to understand that they have been taught lies as if they are the truth, and purpose to find the truth no matter the cost. And THAT is the purpose of Spirit of Truth Ministry and the program The Bible On Trial on Blog Talk Radio. http://spiritoftruthministry.com/sot.

Timing is everything~ Have you heard the expression that "Timing is Everything"? The idea the everything that happens does so at the 'proper time' is a common theme in the words of Jesus when He was speaking about judgment. "But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into." Matt. 24:43 "Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time?" Matt. 24:45. These texts show that God has a plan for the timing of the end, and that eveything that has happened from the foundation of the world has been done "At the proper time". Are we living now during this 'proper time'? And if so how do we know? Join us today and find out how it is not only possible to know the time of the end, but it is imperative to know that time, so we can be prepared for service to the Kingdom of Heaven, the King of that Kingdom, and the world

This past week our big tom cat, Andy, went out of the house for what we thought was his usual night time rounds, and he didn't come back. One day, then two days, then three; at which time my wife and I really started to become worried. By the end of the fourth day we had all but given up hope of Andy coming back. One reason that we thought this is because  there have been coyotes seen on the street where we live, and one never knows when they will show up for a free furry meal. He did come back. During this time I thought a lot about grief. I read a wonderful expression and definition of grief, which in essence was 'unrequited/unfulfilled love for someone or something that is no longer around to recieve it'. A person that is grieving no longer has the object of their grief to love, and return that love. And this got me thinking about what God might go through after the earth has been made new. You see, after the earth is cleansed from all disobedience what is left? Only those people that have obeyed the Commandments of God. And yes, God will be saddened by having to put to death all those that hated Them (Elohiem). But the saddest part of that will be Their remembering for eternity those that said that they loved God, but decided that the Commandments no longer mattered to their salvation. Yes, God will wipe away every tear for all of humanity that has earned eternal life by believing and practicing the Truth. But what about God's tears for those that He loved but chose to continue in disobedience, forcing Him to do that thing which He never wanted to do from the foundation of the world. Jesus wept over His friend Lazarus. And we all have the power to cause God to weep for us in either sorrow or in joy, by either being disobedient or obedient to His Covenant of the Kingdom. In which way will God weep for you? They will truly weep for joy when you learn to believe His words, and practice His truth.

The only way to come to a complete understanding of truth is to agree that there actually is an understanding of truth that is complete. Another critical factor in understanding truth is to acknowledge that the origin of truth is outside of you, and that truth needs to be inside of you to have meaning and bring purpose in life. You must admit that Truth is not a feeling or an emotion, but it is an activity. Jesus said it best: ""But he who practices (accomplishes) the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." John 3:21. Truth is not passive, it is active, and requires activity/doing to accomplish the purpose of God.  Join with Spirit of Truth Ministry as we actively search for and find truth that leads to salvation, peace, and eternal life.

Believe the Evidence~ Recently we have heard people say, "I believe her", or "I believe him", which is the traditional 'he said, she said' senario that has plagued these recent events in the United States Senate. We have heard some women say that anyone, especially men, that do not believe whatever a woman say about having been sexually accosted is morally bankrupt, leaving men open to slander and false accusations, without a defense. We even see this kind of sentiment in the religious community when people accuse fellow believers of not being saved because they either do or don't believe something that the accuser believes to be correct doctrine. Example: if a church has a 'prophet', and another person in that church declares that they don't believe that person was a prophet, they are excoriated for not being a 'true believer'. Let me make my position perfectly clear; I don't believe 'him', I don't believe 'her', I BELIEVE THE EVIDENCE! But in every case, whether civil or spiritual, there is two kinds of evidence; the true, and the false. Those that believe false evidence as if it is the truth do so primarily by FAITH. The definition of faith as defined by Rick Sterling is this; "Faith allows a person to believe a lie as if it is the truth, without accountability". Most of the time these people simply believe what they have been taught from childhood, without considering the source. Others believe by faith out of convenience, or a sense of needing to belong to a select group of people. Yet God does not ask any of us to believe by faith, He asks us to believe by the evidence of His words, that He sent to earth via His only Son, Jesus, that He gave to His own eyewitness disciples (and ONLY those disciples). This is all the evidence we need to find eternal life

Join Spirit of Truth Ministry for our Flag Ship program, The Bible On Trial. This program tests the words of Jesus that He gave to His own eyewitness disciples against the words of those that claim to have been sent by God. This will challenge your thinking on how truth is found and applied in our lives.

Liar, Liar . . . Can you recognize a liar when you see or hear one? Sometimes it is difficult to equate what you see with what you hear. With an accomplished liar the words seem so smooth and comforting, and the look so confident and honest, that you get sucked into the looking glass and don't even know it.  One way of understanding what you are experiencing is to look at the body language of the speaker, and watch for the 'tells' of a liar. There is a sub-specialty in psychology where the practitioner can tell by observing the mannerisms of the person speaking whether they are lying or telling the truth. Do they swallow too much, or are their blink patterns normal, or too fast of slow. Do they tuck their chin in when they lie to appear smaller and less conspicuous, or do they lift their chin in defiance, saying 'I dare you to challenge what I say'. Do their eyes move to memory points, where they are seeing in their mind what they are saying with their mouth, or do their eyes stay neutral as they think about a lie that they have memorized and practiced. Telling whether someone is lying is really not all that difficult if you know what to look for. What IS difficult is trying to tell if someone is lying by reading what a person has written, or what has been written about what a person has said. This requires much more skill, because you don't have physical cues to watch while a person is speaking. In order to find out whether a person is telling the truth or lying about what they have written there must be some other standard by which you can compare those expressed ideas and concepts other than their own words.  For spiritual truth it is the understanding of Spirit of Truth Ministry that it is the words of Jesus that He gave to His own eyewitness disciples that are the standard by which all ideas about spiritual truth must be compared. You can't do better than this!
