Spirit of Truth/The Bible on Trial

An Upcoming Wedding~ We just found out today that our son has asked his girlfriend to be his wife, and joy abounds in our household. This has been months in planning, and three days in execution. All did not go completely smoothly, as three nights ago Zach was going to ask Erica's parents for their blessing (he is old fashioned that way), but they could not get to the phone together as her mother was out of the house.  Zach had to call them later out of the hearing of Erica, but the only time he could do that was at a time when he and Erica were together. Rather than make an excuse he simply tolder her that he had to go out to make a phone call, that the call would be important to her in the near future, and that she needed to trust him that all was well. She agreed, so out he went, the call was made, and indeed all was well. They have not set a date yet, but a wedding is in the offing, and both her family and our family, and all our friends are thrilled for both of them. When they choose the day an hour for the wedding they will let everyone know so we can all be ready. Another wedding is in the offing, and the groom has asked permission of His Father to go get his bride, but she was not ready. But how could this happen? How could the bride not be ready for her own wedding? There is a simple answer; the bridesmaids were all asleep, and had not prepared the bride for her groom. So the Groom sent His servants to wake the bridesmaids and warn them that "The Bridgroom IS HERE, come out to meet Him". This story is told in the prophecy in Matthew 25:1-13. For a wedding to take place the bride must know when the groom will come for her, so she can be prepared and ready to meet him, and go into the wedding with him. If the groom comes and finds her not ready in her finery, then the wedding will be cancelled. We must not let that happen. We must warn the bridesmaids of the coming of the Groom.

Impeachment~ There is a lot of talk in the past day or two in the Main Stream Media about impeaching the President of the U.S. based upon the word of a person that has been proven to have lied. What the outcome of this will be is very much up in the air. But there is one thing that is not 'up in the air', and that is that the Words of God as manifest in the Words of Jesus His Son can not ever be impeached. Why? Because to be impeached a person must be PROVEN BY LAW to have lied under oath; and for God this has been proven to be impossible. What is not impossible is for someone to BELIEVE that they have told the truth in court, and later they find out that they have been deceived, and lied unknowingly to the court because they (themselves) were told the lie by a source, which they believed. My brother, Don was a lawyer, and one of his favorite expressions was, "Ignorance is not an excuse before the Law". What this means is that you can believe and tell a lie as if it is the truth, and believe you will not be held accountable for that lie if you go to court. In other words, your accountability to the law has nothing to do with your sincerity in believing and speaking a lie, believing it to be the truth; the fact that you told a lie to the court is simply enough to impeach that testimony, which would cause a conviction. When you stand before God in the judgment, and expect God to bless you with eternal life based upon your testimony, and that testimony is based upon lies that you received sincerely believing them to be true, you will be convicted of lying before God and sentenced to eternal death, and your sincerity in your belief will not save you. This is why you MUST know the truth, because only the 100% truth can place you in the Kingdom of God, and out of harms way in the judgement.

Does it seem like the world is changing into a place where it has never been before. Technology with AI and space exploration. Traditional religeous organizations have lost any revelence, if they had any to begin with. We seem to be living in a bizarro world how do we make sense, who can we trust, where do we find the truth. Does God still want anything to do with us? We make sense, or do we, you decide. A look at history, the present and the future. How may we be sure we are ready if we don't really know what we are to expect?

The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling is the continuing saga of a small band of brothers and sisters that defy the odds against bringing the knowledge of the Truth that Jesus brought from Heaven to a world wrapped in the darkness of lies masquerading as light. This team is lead by a man that has dedicated his life to revealing a deception so insidious and convincing that it has fooled the entire world. Together, these bondservants of Jesus work against the Devil and his minions to open the eyes of those that have a heart for the truth, but don't know exactly where to look to find it. Join the Sprit of Truth Ministry spiritual combat brigade as they fight to again bring Truth, Justice and the ways of the Kingdom of the Heavens to the earth.

When you go on a trip you have to pack for the conditions that you will have wherever it is that you are going. It is ludicrous to pack shorts and a bathing suit if you are going snow skiing. It is also rediculous to pack snow skis and a parka if you are going to Hawaii. What you wear where you wear it is important. So is knowing what you must wear to the Wedding Feast of the Lamb. Most Christians believe that entering the Kingdom (just as they enter church) is a 'come as you are' situation. IT IS NOT! You must come to the wedding already dressed and ready to go; you are not handed your wedding garment at the door, and then enter the feast. The purpose of Spirit of Truth Ministry is to find the specific wedding garment (Truth), so that when the Master comes we will be ready immediately to go with Him into the wedding feast. Join us in our study to know and practice the Truth.

The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling brought to you by Spirit of Truth Ministry, will be 'on air' at the top of the hour. See you then, for a dynamic and challenging study into Truth, Justice, and the Kingdom of Heaven.

"Eye On the Prize"~ There is a universal motivating factor that keeps a person moving toward any goal. The story of the donkey, carrot and stick is a perfect metaphor for this factor.  In order to overcome the stubbornness of his donkey to pull hus cart the driver would tie a string around a carrot, attach it to a stick, and suspend it just in front of the donkey, such that the donkey would see and smell the carrot, move toward it, but never reach it until the cart driver got to his destination/goal. In this story the donkey did not choose the goal, the driver did. This was a long term goal for the driver, whereby he used a short term goal for the donkey to achieve it. The donkey also had a goal, that was to eat the carrot, and stayed focused on that goal to the exclusion of all else, until he got to the destination chosen by the driver. Now without exception humans are not donkeys, although humans may seem to behave like it at times, in that we can be as willful and stubborn as those braying animals. We humans have a tendency to choose to live our lives based upon short term goals that provide close to instant gratification. We do this because unlike the donkey in the story, we get to choose the driver/driving force in our lives, and that force more often than not does not take a long view; either in planning for retirement, saving money for a vacation, or any number of things that require long term planning and execution. We often settle for a narrow view of life centered around the important but mundane things such as going to work, feeding our children, watching a favorite TV show, or even going to church. If our driver is Jesus, we must learn to look see our ultimate destination as does He/Them; eternal life for those He loves. This is why we must STUDY and KNOW the Truth.

In out daily lives the idea of knowing and understanding the truth of salvation takes second place to cleaning the house, taking the kids to school, going to work, paying bills, and spending time with family and friends. And this is as it should be, because living life is what responsible human beings do.  Yet every once in a while it is important to spend some time thinking and taliking about the truth with people both of like mind and not. It is for this reason God gave the people of His Kingdom the COMMAND to take a day off from our regular routines and think about our relationship with "The Way, the Truth, and the Life". Keeping the 4th Commandment is actually not all that difficult to accomplish, especially when you consider the result to your physical, mental, and emotional constitution in not doing it. This is one of the reasons we here at Spirit of Truth Ministry provide a way for Truth Seekers to attend a forum once a week on Sabbath where the ideas, concepts, and proofs of truth are openly and honestly discussed, in a non-denominational format. Join us today for our continuing discussion and presentation of and about truth, justice, judgment, and the Kingdom of the Heavens.

"FIRE"! The word 'Fire' is used in a variety of contexts. In the job market it means something totally different than the result of saying it on a shooting range. But in Westen U.S. the word can have a chilling effect on the hearts of people that face forest or brush fires, that force them to evacuate their homes and property, and can bring both destruction and death to those involved, both as civilians and fire fighting personel.  Yesterday afternoon It was very hot at my house (101 deg), and I was outside watering some of our more sensitive plants on our front porch when I heard the sound of a low flying 'heavy' aircraft coming toward me from the Southeast. Soon into view came a DC-10 air tanker conversion (Foscheck), so I got my phone out and quickly took a short 10 sec. video as it passed overhead, on its way to resupply at the San Bernardino International air termnal. I quickly posted it on Face Book.  Seeing this massive aircraft that was flying in support of the ground crews that are working the fire near Mountain Center on San Jacinto (mountain) actually gave me a sense of peace, knowing that if they had those kinds of resources available to fight that fire, then those involved in the 'fire fight' would eventually get it under control, and put it out. We are now in the spiritual 'fire fight' for our lives. And many people are in dispair, not even necessarily know why they feel lost, hopeless and helpless. People need to realize the extent of the massive spiritual forces that are arrayed both against them, and on their behalf. The words of Jesus that He gave to His disciples are just like a spiritual DC-10, that have the power to put our the fire of lies and deception that Satan has brought against them to prevent them from having eternal life. The words of Jesus are the only things that can put that evil fire out.

The golf world is watching with wrapped attention the greatest contest in the world - The Open Championship. It is being played at Carnoustie, Scotland, for the 8th time in the 147 years that it has been played.  When a player recieves his invitation (an invitation that is earned) to play there is an expressed excitment that does not happen for any other tournament, or so I am told those that have been there, and done that. It has been said (and I agree, having been a player and a high school golf coach) that "Gold is God's game", because it exemplifies the qualities and actions that followers of Jesus Christ must exhibit in order to 'play the game' of salvation, which is 'by the rules'.  Now imagine that instead of playing the match and winning by the lowest score for the four days of play, the Royal and Ancient Golf Association decides to put the lifetime accomplishments and desires of each of the 'invitees' into an A.I. computer, and using an algorithm that says "as long as you believe that you can win by faith we will grant you the win by the grace of the R & A'. Sounds silly, doesn't it! At least it should, because it would remove all incentive to have to accel at the game of golf, and remove all need to 'play by the rules', because the rules would no longer matter in achieving victory. This is what the 'apostle' Paul has done in inventing a religion that uses that very same algorithm to provide salvation for the practitioners of Christianity. For them, there is no longer any need to accompish anything with respect to the 10 Commandments and the words of God in the Old Testament, and the words of Jesus in the New Testament. These WORDS are the 'rules of the game', and must be put in the intellect (heart), and practiced dilligently, in order to come to righteousness and see salvation.
