Spirit of Truth/The Bible on Trial

Death Always Comes as a Surprise~ Last week I told you about my cousin Gordon who called to tell me that he has pancreatic cancer, and only has a short time to live. This week, I am sad to say, that he died at 3:08 AM this morning (November 16, 2023). This will be 'yesterday' if you are reading this tomorrow. My wife and I knew from his description of how he was feeling that there was not much time left for him on this earth. As it turns out, there was very little time left. His death has hit me hard, knowing him as well as I did in our younger years, and not having much direct contact in the intervening years. Cheryl, his wife of 50 years, texted us this afternoon to tell us the sad news. I am mentioning this for a reason. If the world does not change then all of us will eventually face what Gordon just faced; that is, death that comes slowly, slowly, slowly, then quickly. And as it happens, and even though I have not experience death for myself, the person dying never knows the exact moment that they have died; they simply change states. Why is this important? It seem (as a rule) that younger people that know that death is coming throughout their lives, but pay that knowledge little attention, being busy with life. Yet as they get older they thing about death with some expectation of being able to "cheat it", either through medical science, or if they are persuaded, by the expectation of Jesus coming again, to take them to heaven. But WHAT IF His coming in the clouds of Glory is not how our existence on this earth changes state? What if there is another road in prophey, a Life Road that doesn't require the death and destruction of most of the people on earth to accomplish? What will happen when the people of earth realize that everything has changed, and they DID NOT DIE? When they see the New Jerusalem coming down from Heaven to earth they will know the truth and not be surprised.

Decision Point~   Everyone, everyday, has a decision point that affects how you spend the rest of the day. For example, should I get gas now, or later? So if you get gas now you might be paying more for it than you would if you waited until you were able to get to a station with a lower price. On the other hand, if you don't get it now maybe you will run out of gas before you get to the lower price gas station, and then the problems compound.   Every decision point is a defining point in time, whether you acknowledge it openly or not. Some decisions are more important than others, yet all have the effect of either making life easier or more difficult. How you decide about WHAT you decide is critical to the pattern your life will take both today and in the future.   This is especially true for things inside of our spiritual natures. The decisions about how we believe about what we believe is more often than not not given the quality of care that we give to the more mundane aspects of our lives, like buying gasoline for the car. People have become immune to the necessity of carefully concidering these spiritual decision points as being worth the conciderable effort to process. We get so innured to the encumbrances of life in the physical that making a choice concerning our spiritual natures slips by the wayside, until it is too late to make the changes necessary to accomplish the growth and learning that is necessary for us to commit the the outcome, one way or the other.   Living by Faith is easy, because faith requires not commitment to a truth that is singular and absolute. "Faith allows a person to believe a lie AS IF it is the truth, without accountability!" (Rick Sterling).   The decision ot KNOW the God you worship, is the most critical decision point in life. Don't leave this decision until it is too late.

The Heart of the Matter~ My cousin is dying! He called the other day, and gave my wife and I the news that he is dying of pancreatic cancer and has but a little while to live. To me, this is and unmitigated disaster, because he has been a stalwart force in my life since we were children, and the thought of him dying is abhorrent to me. Yet there it is! He and his wife are facing a reality that is not at all what they imagined, when they were married more than 50 years ago. The reason that I am upset is that years ago we became estranged because in my enthusiasm for the truth I mailed him a copy of our newly published book The Spirit of the Church (Tate Pub. 2007), by Rick Sterling and Dennis Neufeld. Thinking in my innocense that this would be something he would be interested in reading it simply because I was one of the authors. It turns out I was wrong in that innocense. He called me and told me that he had only read two chapters of the book, and threw it away as a complete heresy to the Christian Church, and never wanted to talk about it again.  I was willing to let this go, even though I was disappointed that he had not read enought of the book to understand the context. We then gradually grew apart, through both physical distance, and an emotional and spiritual rift that clouded our relationship for years. His calling me to tell me his plight brought to my mind how what Jesus said about the truth being a two-edged sword is truth. Both of us could have reached out sooner, but I am glad he called, because we still have a little time to close the gap, and renew our friendship. Truth is the Heart of the Matter. Speaking truth has and will continue to separate us one from another. Yet we must still love those that reject truth, knowing that they may not be rejecting us at the same time. We won't know the ultimale outcome until all is accomplished.

Is Today the Day? No one, and I mean NO ONE knows FOR SURE when the big events will occur that will reshape the landscape of this world back into the way God founded it so long ago. Yet there are 'tells' that show us where we are in time, and how the conditions in the world reflect that location as NOT being what we have been taught they would be for at least 2,000 years. If you have listened for any length of time to these podcasts (since August 2021) you will have a good idea that the Time Line of the End that is given in Revelation 13 and on, and even in the words that Jesus spoke while He was here on earth to His own Disciples as too what the condition the world and His Kindom would be in at the very end of time have changed. We are NOT now headed for a Time of Trouble that was spoken of in the Death and Distruction prophecies of the end, because the time for the fulfillment of those prophecies has come and gone. What we are left with are the prophecies of the Life Road that are seen in Revelation 10 and Daniel 2, prophecies that are right now leading us to a new world of peace and prosperity the likes of which have not been seen on earth since Eden. Join Spirit of Truth Ministry today at 10AM PDT for our podcast The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling, where Rick will continue the process of learning the Truth about where we are in time, and what we must do to be prepared for that Great Day when the New Jerusalem comes to earth, on: blogtalkradio.com/sot.

Join Spirit of Truth Ministry for our continuing study into the shift from the Death Road prophecies seen in Rev. 13, to the prophecy in Revelation 10 of the Seven Thunders, that  has put the world on the Life Road. You will hear about the signs of the end, both seen and unseen in the United States and the world, that portend the shift between our present distress to a world of peace an prosperity the likes of which have only been in our collective dreams. Our podcast The Bible on Trial will air today at 10AM PDT, and will also be available for download after our show ends, on: blogtalkradio.com/sot. Join Rick Sterling and the Spirit of Truth Ministry reasearch team for another thought provoking hour of the revealing of the plans God has already put in place for the transformation of this world into the bright future of the next.

The Great City~ A central figure in the End Time Prophecy of Revelation is a city that is termed "The Great City Babylon"! It has been common usage in the Prophetic Interpretation biz that this city is Rome. It is convenient in Christian circles to lay the blame for the woes that occur during the time of the End at the feet of the Pope and the Papacy, because of the antipathy that arose during the Reformation between the Mother Church and the Protestant movement that came out of her. What If there is a plausable and different undertanding as to who and what is meant by this Great City that would change and explain everything about the identity of this Great City Babylon?  On yesterday's podcast Rick defined what is described in Revelation 18 as the Great City, and it is NOT Rome. What if we look carefully at what is going on in the Middle East right now, and can find a different understanding that explains what is happening, and why? Would this different interpretation of Prophecy change how we view End Time Events, such that we could see right where and when we are in the different prophetic time line in which we find ourselves? Join Rick Sterling and the Spirit of Truth Minstry team in uncovering the truth about how prophecy fits what we are seeing in our world today, by listening to our podcast today, October 28, 2023 at 10AM PDT, on: blogtalkradio.com/sot.

Scary~ We are coming up on Halloween, which is supposed to be the scariest and most fun time of the year for the kids. Ghosts, Goblins, Wizards and Witches (aka Harry Potter), and all manner of bumps in the night are on tap next Tuesday, October 31, and even my grandson (3 1/2 years) already has his Spiderman costume ready to go. Yet as parents (and grand parents) we try to keep it light and fun, and not really scary for the kids, because what is going on in the world right now would scare them silly, if they knew (or cared) about what was really going on 'out there'! Even the adults I speak with everyday at work are VERY nervous about what is going on both inside our country and out, because those that are Christian still see events that they believe to be connected with the Great Tribulation of Revelation beginning to happen in the Middle East, and say things such as, "I sure hope that God is in control of all this!" If they only knew. And THAT is why Spirit of Truth Ministry was put in existence almost 30 years ago, for such a time as this? What we have been showing, and explaining to our audience each week is so totally different from what the Chirstian church believes as a function of their views of prophecy and the 'end of the world' that there is no direct corelation between us. We now understand that there will be NO Great Tribulation, and the world will not end in a World War 3 nuclear holocost. We are showing that what prophecy really indicates is that we are coming to a time of Peace and Prosperity that has yet never been seen on earth since Eden.  Not learning this truth BEFORE you neet it . . . now THAT really would be scary! Interruptions~ Occasionally life throws 'little' interruptions in the flow of things that can pause or even derail our cherished plans. How we handle these unlooked for events can tell us a great deal about where we are in our development as a person, and where we are in our walk along that winding path to the Kingdom of God. These interruptions are almost always uncomfortable, and can cause anxiousness and even pain and heartache. This is not to day that there are never good interruptions, like getting and actual letter in the mail from a long time friend, or an unexpected bonus in our pay check. Yet often these interruptions that "plague" our lives are also those things that challenge us to become better people, more resillient and capable, because we are challenged in ways that help us grow closer to the ideal of Truth that God wants us be in order to be a blessing to His Kingdom. Join us today for another episode of The Revelation of Jesus, that will help us to become more atuned to the processes that will bring us closer to the Truth that God needs us to know to be of greater service to Him/Them, and to those around us that are also seeking the Kingdom of God, and the Righteousness that God wants all of us to experience. This podcast will be 'on air' today October 21, 2023 at 10AM PDT, on: blogtalkradio.com/sot.

Join Spirit of Truth Ministry today Friday, October 20, 2023, at 10AM PDT for our flagship podcast The Bible on Trial. This program expands the boundries of Truth in the spiritual realm, using the words of Jesus that He brought to earth from His Father, gave them to His own eyewitness disciples, Matthew and John (cofirmed by Mark), These words were put it in a place where people can access those words (the Bible), and gave those that seek the truth the opportunity to find them, and decide for themselves whether what Jesus said is the actual 'God's honest' truth. Note: The words of Jesus are located in the Bible, but so are the words of others that claim that they recieved His words throught vision or dreams, and not in person. Those words are lies, and cannot be trusted as truth, yet because they were included in the Bible many people believe that they are truth just as are His own words, when they are not. It is up to you to compare and decide what is true, and what is not. The Bible on Trial will aid you in this process. Our podcast is presented live, and also available as a podcast on: blogtalkradio.com/sot.

And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality." Rev. 14:8. In today's program Rick will be touching on how the end time prophecies concerning Jerusalem are affected by the current crisis in the Middle East. On the podcast yesterday Rick set up the reasons that show why the future history of the world will be one on Peace and Prosperity through the Life Road prophecies, even though what we see in the news looks like the world is going through the Death Road prophecies. What does prophecy say about Babylon the Great, and what happens to the world when that Great City falls? Is Jerusalem the Babylon of prophecy, and if so what will be the outcome of these things? Don't miss this exciting presentation that will define exactly where we as a world now find ourselves, even though it looks like the world is spinning into oblivion. Will we actually come out the other side of this trouble and see the New Jesrusalem come down out of the Heavens, and be set up as the new capital city of the Kingdom of God on earth?
