Coincidence, Or Not~ It's easy enough to smile when the world goes along like a song, but the one that's worthwhile is the one that can smile,  When everything goes dead wrong~ This little poem is a modified snippet of a poem by Ella Wheeler Wilcox called WORTH WHILE, that my mother learned from her mother, and has made a big difference the the texture of my life. I have learned that because of who God is, and what They do, there is no such thing as coincidence. God always has a plan, however, He may not reveal the details of that plan to us right away. For example; years ago I lost a very important receipt for an investment that I had made. It wasn't a lot of money, but the culmination of that investment is getting close, and I had resigned myself to loosing out on the proceeds of that investment because I had misplaced proof of my ownership.  Yesterday, my cat Sparky caught a bird, and brought it into the house to show us her victory. It was alive, and in trying to pick up the cat and take her outside with the bird in her mouth, she (of course) dropped it, and it scooted away to hide. This promoted a search that involved moving furniture, and as a result I worked for hours cleaning the floors in the living room. My wife decided to clean a drawer in a small table near our front door, so that she could give it to our son the next time he came for a visiit. In cleaning out the drawed she discovered that some papers and other stuif had gone over the back of the drawer into a space under the drawer, preventing the drawer from closing. She asked me to open the underside of the drawer space to get this material out. One of the things that came out was a returned letter from nearly 20 years ago that had a copy of my receipt in it.  We are coming into a time when the plans and prophecies of God will be revealed. Coincidence? I think not!

Planner~ I just started using a new (to me) planner system to organize my life. A good friend brought this system to my attention, and we have together been meeting every morning for the last 20 days for a 5-10 minutes chat, to encourage each other in staying on track in it's use. I may write something about my impressions of this system later. But for now, using this planning system has brought a question to my mind that presents a bit of a conundrum with respect to prophecy and future world events. This conundrum has been present in the Christian church (and in the world at large) since the church was invented by Paul in the first century C.E., and that is this; How do you plan for a future of and about which you are not sure will occur? In other words, what is the point of long term planning of your life if you are not certain that the world will be in existance when you arrive there in time? For 2000 years or so we have been taught that the world is going to end in a massive Time of Trouble such as never was before, where death and destruction reigns supreme on earth, as a function of what both the Devil does to the people of the earth, and what God does in responce. Earthquakes, fire from heaven, pestilence, famine, war, and strife will kill millions of people before God finally steps in and saves His people. If this is the truth then why bother planning a life that doesn't include this as the driving force? Why bother? What Rick has brought to the table by identifying a different set of prophecies that have a totally different outcome, and brings into focus a how being in a different 'time-line' has changed how God is now dealing with a different future for mankind, one that involves Peace and Prosperity, rather than Death and Destruction. If learning about how to plan for a new future is intriguing to you, then listen to our programs on Blog Talk Radio every Friday and Sabbath.

Legal vs. Lawful~ When you jay walk, you have brokent the law; but which law have you broken?  Or if you run a stop light you are breaking the law; but what kind of law are you breaking? If you run that stop light and cause an accident, you are breaking the law; but what type of law are you breaking? Is it different from jay walking or just sliding through an intersection on a yellow light that turns red when you cross the limit line? If you run that light and hit someone that is legally crossing in front ot you, you have broken the law; but what type of law? If you run that light as you speed away from robbing a bank, where you shot a guard, and are being chased by the police, you are breaking the law; but is that law of a different quality than the previous broken laws? What I have described is traffic laws that have been broken, that have gone from getting a warning ticket for crossing a street outside of the lines, to felony evasion with assault with the intent to do bodily harm. The 'laws' governing these human behaviors are categorised as either 'Legal' or 'Lawful' and they are not the same.  When humans define 'law' it is either legislated in an elected body of people, or it is declared by a magistrate. These laws are codified into statutes, and are adjudicated by a judge and (possibly) a jury, that decide guilt or innocence.  The other type of Law is often called Common Law or The Law of God, AKA the 10 Commandments. All law is based in Common Law, but all Common Law is not statute law. The 10 Commandments are the Law of the Kingdom of God. Statute Law is the law of the Kingdom of the world. To exist in a civilized world one must abide by Statute laws. To lawfully enter the Kingdom of God one must do two things; keep the Commandments of God, and hold only to the testimony of Jesus (Rev.12:17).  Being Legal is not always Lawful.

Change of Plans~ A common experience in our modern society is that plans change. Something comes up that is outside of our plans for the day and we have to adapt to the new conditions. Sometimes this is easy, and sometimes it's a pain in the tush. Either way, we must rethink how we process the demands of the day, and (in the vernacular) 'go with the flow'. This is less easy, and often impossible, when the issue involves our spiritual lives, and how we view salvation and eternal life. For the most part Christians feel that they live a normal life. And included in that normal life is occasionally being able to 'testify to the truth' of what they know about the idea of 'being saved'. If you add to that the concept that what Christians have been taught about how end time prophecy works having something change in either area can really mess with their minds. Two examples: (1) when they realize that what Paul taught was not what Jesus taught about salvation, and (2) when they are told that their certain view of end time prophecy no longer fits the reality of what they see occuring in the world. These two issues in particular are devastating to the 'plan' that has been layed out for them by their church, their pastors and teacher, and the 'Old Time Religion' with which they grew up. It makes them VERY uncomfortable in the least. So what are they to do? Well in this there are two options. The first is that they will reject out of hand any attempt to change their minds about any of this; that what they have is what they want to believe, and that is enough for them. the second is for a moment laying asied what they now believe to be true, and look at something new to them with an open heart and mind, and judge for themselves whether what they see is true, or not.  You must Know the Truth in order to be in the Kingdom of God, a truth that will be different than you now know.

New Prophetic Paradigm~ If you were with us yesterday you would have heard Don and me lead in to our Best Of Program from February 2008 by talking about what we have experienced in dealing with people that already have a preconceived paradigm as to what the truth of prophecy is, or they have no understanding of truth and where we are in time. There are people (not those that listen to our programs at Spirit of Truth) that react badly when the are told that everyone believes lies as if those lies are truth. They will fight back saying that 'they know the truth' and it isn't what we are telling people. Yesterday, we went back in time and listened to Dr. Rich and me discuss prophecy in a way that we 'knew' was true, because we had studied extensively with Rick, and found truth that was different from what we had learned in our church from our pastors, and the denominational schools we attended. These pastors, teachers and evangelists told us that what they had learned, and they were sure that it was true. Even back then we knew that what they believed was not true, and we had found a 'new' truth to replace it. And now, today, we now know that what we believed as truth in 2008 while true then, is no longer true now. The times and prophecies have changed, and with that change also has come a change in the outcomes that will soon come upon the world, that will affect those that dwell on the earth. Back then we talked about a 'Great Tribulation' that would affect the entire world, where Satan and his demons would rule the worlds, and people of Truth would be killed right and left, until Jesus would come in the clouds and save us. As of today we know this was not true, even though we believed to to be true. iI was a truth for THAT time, not for the times we live in now. So join us today as we continue to delve into the truth of current prophetic understanding.

Law and Justice~ Rick will not be with us for our radio program on Friday, January 20, 2023, because he is participating as a juror in a trial. It is also interesting that in a real sense all of us are participating in a legal proceeding, in that we are all, one way or another, going to get justice or ourselves by either keeping the Commandment of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus, or not. And this will happen whether we like it or not, or believe in it, or not.  Being held accountable for our deeds is something that the modern Christian church holds in distain, not because Christian are 'bad' people, but because ALL people in order to be called a Christian MUST believe a lie as if it is the truth. That lie is that they are saved by grace through faith, and that they will not be held accountable in the judgment, because if the firmly hold to this belief they will not come under judgment from the Law. Christians believe that God loves them without conditions; so if they declare that they love God then they are saved by that shared love. After all, God will never bring to justice anyone that He loves, wil He? Join Spirit of Truth Ministry on Friday for our program The Bible on Trial, where we will show that the concept that the Justice of God is found in the words of Jesus, that He gave to His own eyewitness disciples while He was here on earth.
