Fight Back~ "When a person who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, they will either quit being mistaken or cease being honest". ~Richard Humpal, J.D. There IS an abundance of mis-information, dis-information, obfuscation, and downright lying happening in environments that here-to-fore you would have thought would be immune to such things. We all know (blatant generalization) that religion is one of the biggies in this regard. Every religion has in it an endemic propensity for institutional arrogance, that takes the social form that states, "My religion is better than your religion", and "We have all the truth you need, and you don't". But this is by not means the only construct that does this. We see scientific endeavor giving way to opinion over fact, as evident in the Covid-19 fiasco involving the vaccuums (intentional mis-spelling) that have caused more people harm then anything a virus should be able to do.  Our political leaders on both sides of the isle regularly lie through their teeth in telling us to not get too involved in what they are doing, as they say "There is nothing to see here, move along", in hopes that you will ingnore the theft and laundering of trillions of dollars into the coffers of their political cronies, while blaming all the ills of society 'on the other guy'. The quote by Dr. Humpal goes right to the heart of the issue; Self Honesty is the most rare commodity in existance, and without it there is no standard from which we can gain any understanding of truth that is not controlled by our own emotions. This is why we at Spirit of Truth Ministry have taken the onus of the viewing of truth awayt from individual activity, and acknowledge that Truth needs to be a standard into and unto itself, This is why we use the words that Jesus gave His own disciples as the standard from which all truth comes.

Can vs. Should~ There are a variety of expressions that use the word 'Can' in trying to convince people (especially children) to not limit themselves as they stretch their minds and bodies in learning how to accomplish their goals. "You can do anything you put your mind too." "I think I can, I think I can." (The Little Engine That Could). "Do, don't do. No try." (A version used by Yoda in Star Wars).  We all get trapped in the 'Don'ts', especially as we were growing up, as our parents tried to keep us from hurting ourselves, and this often has lead to limiting success. "Don't do that or you will hurt yourself." "Don't to this or you will embarrass your family." "Don't be rediculous!" The word 'Can' is a very positive word, but there does need to be some tempering in it's use at the extremes of behavior. There are a lot of things you 'Can' do; the overriding question becomes 'Should you do it'? Social tempering in the use of Can and Should is express by Rules or Laws that attempt to define the difference between the human capability of doing a behavior and actually choosing to do a behavior that would harm either yourself or others.  This is the purpose of all Laws, even though sometime those laws go too far. The Creator God had already set limits of behavior even before He formed Adam and placed him in the Garden. Adam and his wife were fully aware of the that limiting factor, "Do not eat from the Tree in the middle of the Garden, or you will be executed."  They both failed to learn the difference between 'Can' and 'Should', thinking that God didn't care about the difference. They were wrong. To enter the Kingdom of God, we must know that difference, and do it by learning the Covenant and keeping it. Revelation 12: 17.

Discretion~ You have heard the phrase, "Discretion is the better part of valor." This means in part 'Don't get into a dangerous situation that you can't get out of'. Underlaying this is the concept that there is a choice to make when confronted with an issue or situation that could have dire or deadly consequences to your well being. Applying discretion can be a wise choice when, say for instance, a delivery person wants to put a package inside a fence where there is a huge guard dog, or whether to decide to go to a Christmas party on a freezing winter night, with ice on the roads, and a blizzard in progress. But there are instances in which discretion is not applicable to an issue or situation, an instance where you have NO CHOICE, that if you are going to live you must simply "Do, or don't do, there is no 'try'". (Mr. Miyagi - Karate Kid, 1986). This concept is particularly true when it comes to the Law, and lawful behavior.  In Law discretion is not a factor. When a Law relies on the discretion of the state to 'show cause' in applying that law, that law become moot on it's face.  A federal judge just enjoined (stopped the actionof) the State of New York in several parts of their concealed carry law that relied on the discretion of the state in prohibiting certain people from being issues carry permits. Discretion is not a valid option in the application of Law. Christians believe that Paul said that after the resurrection of Jesus, God decided that He could apply His own discretion in saying that people can choose to not obey His Commands and still become members of His Kingdom, and thus be saved. God, through Jesus, NEVER made this statement. Neither is there power inherent in an individual to decide to use discretion in choosing to obey the Commandments, or not.  Believing you have this discretion is very dangerous, indeed!

Tme Change~ Birth is a beginning. Death is an End, or so it would seem on the surface. If time has a beginning (either with Creation or the 'Big Bang', depending on your perspective), then time must also have an end. But time also has another component that changes the value of what occurs 'in time', and that is the shifting of one timeline to another.  When these space/time shifts occur it is rare that humans catch on to what has happened, because most of the time they never know that a time-line has changed from one to another. There are cases (as have been reported) that some people remember certain things that have happened in a different way than history has shown; this is the Mandella Effect.  Interestingly, and as we have been discussing on this program since August 2021, there is also evidence of a shift in the timing and events of the End of Time that when observed clinically and without emotion is seen in the differences between the prophecies of Revelation (especially chapter 13) and Daniel 2. There is also the enigma of Revelation 10 that for the most part had been ignored in the views of the Main Stream Churches concerning the prophecies of the Seven Thunders. There ARE two separate and distince time-lines seen in these prophecies; one that has a Great Tribulation, and one which does not. But how can this be? Doesn't God know the End from the Beginning? Of course He/They do. But there is a plan in place, and now being seen by a few people, that show that God has planned for the one element that can actually change Time, and that is Freedom of Choice. There has been a shift away from one time-line to a different time-line, both of which are seen in Bible Prophecy, but are not recognized as having happened, until NOW. There has been a Time Change. End of the Beginning has changed for the better. Find out how by listening to our programs.

Interesting Times~ There is an ancient Chinese  curse that says, "May you live in interesting times". This presupposes that 'interesting times' is indeed a curse, and that those times will be uncomfortable at there very least. The other definition of 'interesting times' can also be exciting, challenging, and rife with opportunity to grow. These two definitions are based solely on your personal perspective, and not on the actual events that are taking place, or anything that is happening to you personally. Hard Times are always bi-directional; you can use them, or be used by them - opposite polarity. There are things that are happening in our world that are challenging, and will become more so as time goes on. The most prominent thing that will make these events challenging is how well prepared you are to deal with them. From a physial side; do you have extra water and food at home, do you keep a stash of cash and/or a little ready gold or silver for purchasing essentials, do you drive your car off the top of your gas tank, etc.  But being physically prepared is just the beginning. What about your mental, emotional, and yes-spiritual preparedness. Are your ready in these areas to deal with life from either side of the good/bad divide? The single most importand element of making life a blessing or a curse is your relationship with the Truth, which is the single most important 'commodity' that exists in time and space. If you view the world through eyes that are filtered with desires and wishes, then you will not be prepared for a reality that simply IS. If you view life through the TRUTH in all it's forms then you will be prepared to accomplish the things that can change a curse to a blessing, and allow you to "Know the Truth, and the truth will set you free". (John 8:32). Truth brings Peace!

Distractions~ For most of us (excluding those who choose to live a monastic life) life can be a series of decisions that involve conflicts, resolutions, frustrations, joys, sorrows, and seemingly hundreds of choices every day. There are also surprises that are both welcome, and unwelcome, events that while not unexpected, given previous life choices, are more serious than most. Just such an event happened to me yesterday. I am fair skinned, and due to having had three second degree sunburns (blisters) before I was 18 years old I have been fighting skin cancer in its various forms (including malignant melanoma), for decades. Two days ago I went to my Dermatologist and had what is termed a 'shave' biopsy. For the sake of propriety I won't go into the details, but for me this is something that has happened one to two times a year for a long time. Usually it takes a week for the results to be read by a Pathologist. My Attending Physician must have put a rush on the sample, because yesterday I received a call from the Resident Physician telling me that the diagnosis had been made, the cancer is a squamous cell carcinoma. I was told that they are going to schedule me for MOHS surgery sometime in the next week or so, as this cancer is particularly invasive and fast growing. Oh JOY! I have had 15 MOHS surgeries in the last 22 years, so this is not something new to me, but I have had only one other experience with this form of cancer, and to say the least this has become quite a distraction. All of us have distractions that take us out of the comfort zone, and put us in a place where it becomes 'nearly' impossible for us to concentrate on what should be most important in lives, learning the words of Jesus that leads us to Eternal Life. These words bring peace in the midst of the storms of distractions that seek to overome us with fear and doubt; "Peace, be Still."

Mandella Effect~ Last night on a very popular PodCast the host pointed out several of his listeners had mentioned movies that exhibited phenomenon where a person recalls something that did not happen or that something happened differently from the way it happened in the movie that they recalled. One such movie is The Wizard of Oz and Dorothy's shoes. in the early version her shoes are just 'Ruby Slippers' with a plain red color. In a remastered version the slippers are covered with small red discs, and a big red bow. This is called The Mandella Effect. This occurs in numerous films, and even books, where people remember a character saying one thing, but later they say something just a little different. It is possible that this happens because of a shift in Timelines.  We know for certain that in prophecy in the Bible there has been a huge shift from Death Road prophecy where there was to be a Time of Trouble such as never has been since the foundation of the world, to Life Road prophecy where this will no longer occur. Rick has been talking about this, and proving this from Scripture for months, going back to August 14, 15, 2021 on our programs from that Friday and Sabbath.  And lest you believe that this cannot happen we have poiinted out that in the prophecy of the end in Daniel 2, there is no mention of a Time of Trouble, and in Revelation 10 there is mentioned the Seven Thunders prophecies, which have not yet been revealed. Things in the world are heating up rapidly, So stay tuned to our program as we get closer to the Big Reveal about what will happen before the world changes for the good. We are in that time right now.

Prepare for War! It appears evident to me that the issues that are causing the world to implode are coming to a head. War in the Ukraine, war in our cities and towns, war in our schools, war in our churches, war in our families, war in our finances; crime and conficts in every area of our lives are causing stress and pain. There doesn't seem to be any option for peace anywhere, especially in our hearts.  The single most important 'cure' for the rampant uncertainty and downright terror in our world is not to be prepared with extra food and water (always a good thing), or with a small emergency store of physical gold or silver in a save in your home (good as well), or to have a 'hidy hole' you can take your family to in case of a societal breakdown (already happening); it IS to know the bottom line truth about who God is and what They sent Jesus to earth to do. When you know the truth you can't help but have peace even in the storm. But IF (and this is a big IF) you believe a lie as if it is the truth, then when the time comes where you must rely on that understanding to be able to save your eternal life, you will be wholly unprepared to survive the storm you thought you were prepared for. Christians don't just 'believe' that know the truth, they 'KNOW' that they know it, because they have the Bible, and they trust their pastors and church leaders that they have the undisputed truth, and as long as they are IN the church (pick on) they will be saved. So in aid of being better prepared for the war that is upon us, we will play a game on our FaceBook Group page titled "What Did Jesus Say?", where Spirit of Truth Ministry will post a statement, and you will have to decide by giving a yes or no response whether Jesus said it, or not. The answers will reveal how much you really know about what Jesus said, and whether you actually know the truth about salvation.
