Spirit of Truth/The Bible on Trial

Happy 28th Anniversary to Spirit of Truth Ministry~ Today is January 15, 2022, and 28 years ago today was the very first church Bible class that was presented by Rick Sterling. This class was started as a response to a question asked of Rick Sterling by a physician friend concerning an end-time prophecy in Revelation. The answer was intriguing to those that attended this class, and this began a progression of understanding of prophecy and Truth that eventually led to the official founding of Spirit of Truth Ministry. We hope you will join us today for our program The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling, where we will recap the beginnings of our ministry, and also move truth forward as Rick continues to show why the prophetic time lines that are seen in Revelation have been changed from the reality of death and destruction to the new reality of Life, Peace, and Prosperity. This new reality is one that will see the growth of the Kingdom of Heaven from a little pebble into a gigantic mountain that is the Kingdom of God, that will fill the entire earth.  In the midst of this revelation is also seen the truth of how salvation that is taught by the words of Jesus that he gave to His own disciples, a truth that is materially different from that which is now taught by the Christian church. Join us for a fascinating study as Rick shows why using the words of Jesus as the source for all spiritual truth is so important in understanding the process of Sanctification that Jesus brought to earth from the Father in heaven. This program will air live today at 10AM PDT on: blogtalkradio.com/sot. Or you can download the podcast this afternoon from that Blog Talk Radio web site.

Pain, or Peace~ As Dr. Don Hoffman says (and I will paraphrase), "No one makes a significant life change without pain to drive it." Think about the people that Jesus met and served while He was here on earth. His disciples had to leave their previous lives in order to follow Him, leaveing family and friends behind.  When He met the lame, the blind or the sick, these people had to go through pain before He could heal them. Where ever Jesus went people that were in pain sought Him out knowing He would take the pain away. Most of the prophecies in Revelation describe events that bring pain, and in that pain they reveal the mighty hand of God in trying to get the people of the world to choose Life rather that Death. And in this pain is a useful tool to force people to make choices that they would rather not make. But is this the only way that God can work in order to get people to 'wake up' to the fact that they need to change in order to accomplish the precess of Sanctification, or is there another road they can take that would achieve the same ends without them having to go through horrendous pain in the accomplishment? In August of 2021 Rick Sterling first broached the idea that there are not only Death Road prophecies that can aid the process of Salvation, but there are Life Road prophecies that can do the same thing without nearly as much pain. He pointed to Revelation 10 and Daniel 2 and 7 as examples of how God can accomplish His goals for the world through Peace and Prosperity, rather than Death and Destruction. And this has opened a new world of thought as to the true purpose of God in putting and end to evil in the world. Join Spirit of Truth Ministry as we continue to delve deeper into what God wants for the world, and how He will make it happen.

God's Honest Truth~ One of the expressions that I have heard from time to time throughout my life is "That's God's honest truth"! People have used this expression with impunity when they want to emphasize that they are telling the truth. My observation is that when this expression is used the person that uses it IS NOT telling the truth, they are telling their own truth. If you look closely at those words you will see that they are in and of themselves an oxymoron, because the Creator God NEVER lies! As Rick pointed out on the program yesterday when Adam and Eve were in the Garden being confronted by Satan they succumbed to the idea that God lied to them when He stated: "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die (to be killed, as in executed)!" Satan then, as he continues to this day, has convinced the spiritual world that the God of Creation is a liar, and Satan is the 'good guy', that will rescue mankind from the whims of a vengful God. Today light is darkness, and truth is lies; and these lies are designed to trap people into "believing lies as if they are the truth, without accountability."  (Rick Sterling)  God's Truth has not changed, and will not change just because mankind finds it inconvenient. "This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.  For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed." John 3:19-20 Satans deeds are exposed and have become clear if you will open your spiritual eyes to see. And THAT is God's honest Truth!

Pace! Today is Friday, January 7, 2022, and is one week on from New Years Day, and the airing of our first program of the year here at Spirit of Truth Ministry. There are also 51 weeks until the next New Years Day, and during those weeks we will all have both good and bad experiences that will define how this year has played out, not only in our individual lives, but in the life of our society, and our culture. One of the factors in getting from here to there will be how we pace ourselves in our effort to finish the year in possibly better shape than last year, which was a tough year. Pace to the running of a race is critical in being able to actually finish the race, and not burn out before the finish line. A good runner wants to finish the race with nothing left in the 'gas tank' of their store of energy. They want to cross the line and collapse, knowing they have nothing left to give. In music composition one of the most important and yet least appreciated element is the idea of pacing the tempo and dynamics of the composition such that the music builds to a projected climax, without giving the ending away too soon.  We are entering a time in the hisrtory of the world when the pace of events is accelerating to an ending for which many people are not prepared. This is the reason why we need to understand the pacing of the prophecies in Daniel 2 and Revelation 10, that show us an ending the has been unlooked for until right now. Events in both the physical, political and spiritual worlds are moving along 'a-pace' toward a conclusion that will bring to the world Peace and Prosperity rather than death and destruction. This is an ending that is looked for by only a very few people, and you, dear listener, are one those people, because you have been listening to our programs these past months. We need to prepare our friends and family for this wonderful ending, that is also a new beginning.

Happy New Year~ It is New Year's day in the world, and a chance to reflect on the past, as well as plan for the future. Many people believe that the future is bleak, due to the present circumstances we are facing in politics, religion, and with the world economy. There are a lot of people that I speak with at my work that are not only saddened by what they see and experience, but are also very worried about what will happen this year, thinking that things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. Several have cited to me the events of Revelation and the 'Anti-Christ' that they feel  must soon appear in order to fulfill the prophecies that they see in Revelation for the end of time. Many are frightened. Yet here at Spirit of Truth Ministry we know better than to believe those things, because we know that we are now NOT going to experience the Death Road prophecies, but we will so experience a time of Peace and Prosperity the like of which the world has never seen in all history. And today Rick has some improtant and wonderful news about how God calculates the timing of the end that will show right where we are in time. Thjis is information you must have in order to gain a true sense of what God has done, and is doing, in preparing the world for His eventual return to earth. This is truly good news for a truly Happy New Year! Join Spirit of Truth Ministry on New Years Day, January 1, 2022 for an exciting program that will redefine how we should see the world and the event therein. at 10AM PDT on: blogtalkradio.com/sot.

On New Years Eve day, December 31,2021, Spirit of Truth Ministry is pleased to present a Best of The Bible on Trial. This program continues from the studies of July 16 and 17, 2021 that describe the effects of the prophecies of the Life Road, as opposed to the Death Road on the world, that is seen in much of Revelation. Join Rick Sterling and the Spirit of Truth Ministry team as we uncover the reasons why we should be looking forward to what will happen after the New Year that will change the world for the Good, forever. This program was originally aired on July 23, 2021. Our program will air at 10 AM on: blogtalkradio.com/sot. On New Years Day January 1, 2022, Spirit of Truth Ministry will present a live program that will expose one of the many reasons why Bible Prophecy of the End of Time andthe timing of these prophecies have been misunderstood for 2,000 years. We hope you will join us for both of these outstanding presentations.

Christmas Presence~ One of the highlights of the Christmas season, especially Christmas Day is the giving and recieving of presents. For Children, it is the most important part of the holiday, because they get to unwrap these presents and see what the surprise is inside the package. For adults with children it is being able to give them something from 'Santa' that they normally would not get in everyday life. Socks don't count. My grandson is 17 months old, and this will be the first Christmas that he has any recognition of the importance of the day. The house is decorated with lights, and maybe a Christmas tree. But a child that young has not recognition of the true importance of the day, and won't until much later. For me, the most important part of the Christmas season is not that there is beautiful music, or even a lovely family gathering. It is the true Christmas story that was expressed in the account of the birth in John 1: "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of graciouness and truth." John 1:14. Jesus came to this earth to bring the WORD of God from heaven by being that very Word. And that Word of Truth in us will make us like the Father, through the Holy Spirit.  This is the Christmas Presences of the Word of God in us, that demonstrates that we indeed have 'God in us', and not just around us. This is the difference between acknowledging that Jesus came in the flesh as a present, but having Jesus inside of us by our living in that Word, being the presence of the Word in the world. We here at Spirit of Truth Ministry wish you a Merry Christmas. But more than that we pray that you will discover the joy of having the presence of God inside of you through His words of Truth, and knowing that you are in the Kingdom of God through those very words. Joy to you this Day!

Lessons and Carols~ I am sitting in my living room with my wife, listening to the rain beyond the windows, and to the live Service from Cambridge England at King's College of the Nine Lessons and Carols, that is offered each year on Christmas Eve, as a retelling of the story of the Birth of Jesus Christ, and the reason for His entry into this world.  This is an awe inpiritng event that we have been a part of for years. The readings and the music remind me of why we are here, and why Spirit of Truth Ministry exists. Jesus was born as The Truth, not only in His person as a human being, but also as the Word Made Flesh, that dwelt among us. It is easy to simply say "I Believe", but what is much more difficult is to KNOW what is the Truth, and be able to articulate it to those others that are seeking its True Light. We are all in need of the one and only Truth that was brought from heaven to earth by the very Son of God, jesus the Christ. Make this Christmas season a recommitment to the knowing and the understanding of the Truth of the Life Road, and how we can gain eternal life by abiding in these words that Jesus brought to us.
