Corrective Lenses~ In 1957 my sister and I contracted a virus called Mumps. This is a disease of the perotid (salivary) gland, and was very contagious, since back then there was no vaccine as there is today. In fact, the vaccine only took 4 years to develope, and was first made available in the MMR vaccine in 1967.  The worst thing about the mumps was that the eyes were damaged because of the high fever associated with the disease. It was mostly a childrens disease, so when Denise and I contracted my physician father put us in a dark room, in the same bed, and didn't let us read, or look at books, or look at anything. The disease takes 2 weeks to run its course, and this was the most boring time for a pair of 7 year olds. Both Denise and I came away from this experience having to wear 'coke bottle' lenses in glasses. This was not a happy time. Mumps has been controlled by the vaccine to the extent that it has been declared 'cured'.  Denise and I both had to come to grips with living with very damaged eyes, and wearing thick, ugly glasses (especially Denise). Yet without these lenses we would have been considered to be blind. Corrective lenses have saved our lives.  The way in which we have all been reared and educated have put 'corrective' lenses over our spiritual eyes, which has shaped the way each of us views the spiritual world. We have become so used to these artificial lenses that we no longer realize that we are waring them. These artificial lenses affect every aspect of your spiritual lives, and are what cause everyone to "Believe a lie as if it is the Truth." There is no vaccine that prevents this. Yet we can choose to change our viewpoint of the spiritual world by looking through the lenses of Truth brought to earth by the Son of God; His Words. These words, these corrective lenses, will completely change the way you see life, and salvation.

Narrow Road~ "For the gate is small and the Road (way) is narrow that leads to life, and few there are that find it,": Matt. 7:14. If you were planning on going on a road trip that included traveling over some rough terrain to get to your destination. You were going to have to take a road that was windy and steep, that had ruts and dips, and you had to ford a stream in order to get there. Would you just pack the car, climb in and go? Or would you make sure your vehicle was prepared and ready for the trip in all aspects? You, of course, who go through you vehicle with a view to it having to do all of those things that would eventually get you to your destination successfully. You would check the tires, brakes, steering, suspension (shocks, struts, steering links), and all the other mechanical components and fluid levels that would assure that you could get to where you were going without a failure that would stop you in your tracks. Now what if you were not certain of the way to your destination, and assumed that the road was smooth and safe; a proper highway with services along the way where you could purchase the things you would need if you forgot something. What if you believed that WAZE had the directions and all you had to do was follow them and you would arrive at your destination without worrying about whether you knew the way. This latter is what Christians for centuries have believed about how it is that a person will get into the Kingdom of God. They believe the directions given by the Great Apostle or a Great Prophet of the church, assuming that this is the 'way the truth leading to life'. What if this belief is wrong, yet they believe with all there heart that it is right. Could this cause problems? What if the vehicle they are driving is not the vehicle that can get them into the Kingdom? What if they are taking the Death Road, instead of the Life Road?

Join Spirit of Truth Ministry today August 20, 2021, at 10AM Pacific Time for another edition of our program The Bible on Trial. We have been exploring the concept that prophecy is not as immutable and set in concrete as most Christians believe; that there is not only 'Death Road' prophecies in the Bible, but there are also Live Road prophecies that have supplanted the prophecies that we have grown up with, that depict a frightening future for not only the Kingdom of the Heavens, but for the world. 'What if' the prophecies of the end of time have been changed by the choices the United States of America and the world have me in the election of 2016? What is those choice have changed the trajectory of prophecy from the death and destruction of Revelation 7,8,9, 13 and more into the prophecies of peace and prosperity that are seen in the choices that God gave ancient Israel in the past? Tune it to our program today and gain insight to this fascinating and wonderful alternative to the alternate prophecies that provide the truth as to who God really is, and what THEY are about to do for the world at: blogtalkradio.com/sot.

Win the battle but lose the war~ There is something amiss in the world today, and it has to do with data analytics. Perspective is the key! If a person sets up the parameters for a theory before they have collected the data to support it, the only thing they get is 'faith' that their theory works the way they wish. I never guess. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Author of Sherlock Holmes stories. If your perspective informs your data you will always find what you wish to find in result, whether it is correct or not. If your data informs your perspective then you might not like the result, but you will always find a usable truth. Raw data is never used in a vacuum, there is alway a 'catch' that allows an unscrupulous 'expert' to manipulate the data to their own purposes. This is what we are seeing in both 'settled' science and religion today with respect to not only the 'pandemic' but to to where Biblical prophecy says we are in time. As we get closers to the 'END' of time the manipulation of the time-lines by the enemy is becoming more apparent in how data and the ubiquitous 'facts' are being used to create an environment that the enemy hopes will be so confusing that people will give up their attempts to understand just where we are in time. This is no longer the case. The unsullied data from both Scripture and history shows that we are no longer inside of the Death Road prophecies of Revelation 7, 8, 9 and 13. Our time line has changed to the Life Road Prophecies as seen in Daniel 2 and Revelation 10, that Rick Sterling has been defining since August 14-15, 2020. Even though it appears that the good guys are loosing the battle, they are winning the war. The truth is winning.

Something about Truth~ There is something about Truth that makes people uncomfortable. The reason for this is that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE (at one time or another) has believed a lie as if it is the truth, and when confronted with this as a fact the person then has a very difficult choice to make; to continue to believe the lie and try to live with it without a change of perspective, or change perspective based on that truth and lose friends and family because of the new belief.  "When faced with Truth a person must either accept it, or learn to live with the idea that they are a liar." Living with Truth is hard. Choosing to live inside of a lie kills the spirit, and hardens the soul. The Bible is repleat with examples of this identity; Cain, Pharaoh, King Saul. Judas Iscariot, the 'apostle' Paul/Saul, to name a few. These people were directly confronted with Truth, and made the decision to ignore it, and continue to believe the lie as if it was the Truth.  We see this identity today in the world of politics, religion, science, art, and every human endeavor. NO ONE likes the idea that they have been fooled. But a true fool is a person that continues to say, "That just can't be true" when faced with uncompromising evidence to the contrary. Emotion is a key player in this process. When every expert, every authority figure, every friend, every loved one, believes something is true but you KNOW differently, it is almost impossible to stand up to them in the classroom, workplace or home and tell them that they are wrong, because you don't want to hurt their feelings, because you love them. Jesus came to this earth to testify to the truth (John 18: 36-37), BECAUSE He loved us so much that He could do no other. He knew learning the truth would hurt us, but He did it anyway. Can we do less?

Fact-Checkers~ If you have been on Face Book at any time in the past year of so you have seen a phenomena that has taken that platform by storm - the fact-checker. These people are hired by Face Book to rebute the comments of people that are so obviously uninformed about reality that they need 'guidance' as to what is real and what is fantasy. Anything that disagrees with the political, social or scientific perspective of the 'editors' of Face Book get 'corrected' (re: censored) by their staff of 'experts', so that their reader will be put back on the correct tract to being properly informed. These 'fact-checkers' are doing the same things that desperate high school students do when they have a writing assignment due the next day and haven't started the project; they pick a topic, and invent 'facts' that support their own personal ideas as to the truth of the subject, then they go to a 'credible' source such as Wikipedia and find an article by some unknown writer that supports their belief, and cite that article as proof. These students don't have time to fully research the assigned topic, so they invent the proof the support the theory. True research takes time and effort, none of which these fact-checkers have time to do properly.  A great man once said, "Facts don't care about your emotions!" How you feel about a subject has no bearing on the truth of the matter. Yet as we have seen the idea that 'facts don't lie' is itself a lie. Of course facts can lie, as long as you pick only those 'facts' that support your position. The Truth of God and how They work in this world is not based on emotional content, it is based upon the Words that God sent to earth with His own Son, and gave to humanity through His servants the prophets, and His own eyewitness disciples. This IS Truth!

Spirit of Truth Ministry, under the direction of Rick Sterling, has for the past 24 plus years been encouraging people to not accept the status quo of Truth, but to look at and research the things of Truth for themselves to see what makes sense, and what is fantacy. As we get closer to the 'God's honest Truth' (is there any other kind?) the lines for where fantacy ends and truth begins has become blurred inside of the reality in which we now find ourselves. The time-line that is today's present is nothing like the reality of the time-line that is seen in the prophecies of the end that is seen the parts of Daniel and Revelation that have been used over the years by the Church to frighten believers into accepting to Doctrines of the Church as sacrosanct. The Timing Chart of the End (http://spiritoftruthministry.net/STM/Must_Read/Entries/2010/6/7_Timing_Chart_of_the_End.html) that was developed by Rick in 2010 as part of the study into these (end time) prophecies clearly shows that had this time-line been fulfilled as defined by those prophecies themselve we would all be in heaven right now. So what happened? As you heard on the program of yesterday on The Bible on Trial  (July 30, 2021-https://www.blogtalkradio.com/sot/2021/07/30/the-bible-on-trial), and indeed since August 14 and 15 of 2020 on our BTR podcasts, it is becoming more and more clear that the present in which we find ourselves is NOT the 'present' of the prophecies of the end as currently taught by the Churches. There has been a shift in the reality of prophecy from the Death Road of the old prophecies to the New Reality of the Life Road as seen in the prophecies of Daniel 2, and Revelation 10.  We encourage you to join Rick Sterling and the Spirit of Truth Ministry team each week as we go further into this new understanding of prophecy that shows tha the old truth is fantacy, and the new truth reality.
