Happy Halloween! It's our first special 5th Thursday episode! In this edition, Dawn & Jenny welcome two special guests to discuss an SPN monster and introduce our very own signature cocktail... *drum roll* the SAS Djinn & Tonic.

How to make a Djinn & Tonic:

For a nonalcoholic mocktail, use NA Gin or Juniper Floral Water. All other ingredients are the same.

In a glass with ice, pour 2 ounces of botanical gin (NA gin or floral water).

Add about 1 teaspoon of simple syrup and a dash of bitters then stir.

Add equal parts tonic water and club soda. We used 2 ounces of each.

Garnish with a dried lime and a bruised bay leaf. Bruise the bay by rubbing it between your hands for a few seconds.

Mary Winchester Cocktail - from the Nerdy Tavern

3/4oz Triple Sec

3/4oz Peach Schnapps

1/2oz Hone Syrup (we skipped it)

4oz Lemonade

151 Rum - just a bit to float

> Mix everything except the 151 with ice then strain into a glass. Float the 151 on top then LIGHT 'ER UP!

*We used 88 proof gin, but the proof wasn't high enough to light in the cocktail. Anything 50% (100 proof) or higher will light.

MOCKTAIL - Try using orange juice or orange soda if you like the bubbles. Add a splash of peach nectar and some lemonade. - You can always use nonalcoholic liquor alternatives.

Dad's Old Fashioned

2oz Apple Whiskey (we used Minglewood Distilling Co. Apple Whisky)

1/2 oz Simple Syrup (make your own, it's really easy)

3-4 dashes of Orange Bitters

Orange Peel for the rim of your glass

Old Fashioned MOCKTAIL

2 oz Nonalcoholic Whisky OR Apple Juice in place of Apple Whisky.

-Use the same amount of the other ingredients in the same portions as the cocktail.

-Using bitters is a personal choice. The amount of alcohol is often considered negligible when making a nonalcoholic beverage with bitters, but the choice is truly yours. Make the best decision for you, please.

We're partaking in one of Sam's pastimes: demon's blood. Except without the demons or the blood. And using vodka instead.

Demon's Blood-tini Recipe (from tumblr user aztinamk)

3 parts Blood Orange Vodka

1 part Cranberry Juice

- Shake with ice then strain into a glass.

- Add a splash of lemon-lime soda if you'd like.

Mocktail Recipe

3 parts Orange Juice or Orange flavored water (still or sparkling) or nonalcoholic vodka alternative

1 part Cranberry Juice

- Prepare in the same way. Enjoy!

Purple Nurple recipe:

1 part each of Black Raspberry Schnapps or Liqueur, Raspberry Vodka, and Sour mix. Add lemon lime soda to taste.

Mocktail recipe: Black Raspberry Ginger Ale and Sour mix OR nonalcoholic raspberry schnapps and vodka and Sour mix.
