Today we talk with guest Tori Autumn about how to increase your self worth in your life and business, as well as how important self love is in this equation. Tori is a conversion copywriter dedicated to helping online entrepreneurs grow impactful businesses by sharing their heart-felt messaging. She is also a skilled self love coach who defines self love as fully celebrating the life you have and honoring the amazing person you are. 

 Self Care vs Selfish 

There are people who equate taking care of self as being selfish, always putting yourself first, Tori explains that she describes being selfish as actions or decisions that could jeopardize others around you or affect them negatively. Whereas acts of self love work to keep us in our optimal state so that we have the energy and resources to live our purpose and serve others. By taking care of ourselves we actually give permission to others around us to do the same. 

Self Care In Your Business 

Tori shares how she sees self care in her business as an arm of her identity as a whole. For balance you need to be consistent with your boundaries. If you are tight to deadlines, customer driven and communicative with staff in your business, but a total people pleaser outside of work to the point you deplete your energy the reserves you have to continue to invest in your business will eventually run dry. Tori found by stepping back and taking time for herself away from her business she was able to surrender and allow good things to flow in her business versus trying to force things that just weren’t working. 

Strategies to Increase Self Love 

Whitney asks Tori to share some of her favorite self love strategies to help her clients shift out of imposter syndrome and break through that uncomfortableness that always accompanies growth. Tori has found that having a like minded community of people who can support your growth both personally and professionally. Another tip she shares is how simply writing notes to yourself and putting them in a manifestation/creation box can be very powerful. Tori found this idea in the Abraham Hicks book “Ask and You Receive” and put it into practice to great benefit. Tori also feels that by genuinely helping others in her community with no expectation of return is another way she feeds self love and the feeling of abundance. 

Imposter Syndrome 

Imposter Syndrome is that negative voice in your head that tells you that you’re not good enough yet or not worthy of doing or having something that you want. Although you can’t change your mindset overnight with dedication you can shift your mindset when you purposefully counteract that negative talk with positive self affirmation.

In this episode we welcome Lauren Messiah. She is a personal stylist and the founder of the Style Boss Academy. Her comprehensive approach to elevating one’s life through style working from the inside out by combining style with personal development. She believes your look should support your goals and takes the stress and self doubt out of looking one’s best. 

What Is Style? 

Lauren shares that by deciding what to put on it was how she was able to express herself and it would invite people in to interact with her. So she claimed style as her superpower. She used style to connect with people who might be outside her core group. With that method of fluid self expression it was like being able to shape-shift and become different and have fun with it. 

How Are Spirituality and Style Related? 

Spirituality is about every part of who you are internally that translates outwardly into how you interact with the world. Lauren feels that how you visibly present yourself would also reflect that spirituality when they are both in alignment. When you have your spirit and style aligned you get to the point you are so in tune with who you are energetically that you can’t help but to dress in an authentic expression of that energy that people just intrinsically understand who you truly are. 

Style Reflects Your Energy 

Your physical body can become a great expression of your energy. People respond to visual cues. You get to invite in (or not) certain energies by the way you dress. Listen as Lauren and Whitney give some great and humorous examples of how style reflects or projects energy. 

Can Finding Your Style Help You Overcome Not Wanting To Be Seen 

Firstly our perception of how we look can be warped by things such as body dysmorphia and even past trauma. But we do a disservice when we allow those superficial things (that may only matter to us) to keep us from sharing our gifts and living our purpose. True self acceptance is being able to have self love in any present moment regardless. 

Style And Manifesting 

Style is one of the easiest ways to embody the future version of yourself you want to manifest. By dressing and acting how you envision that future version invites in the energy and frequency of that life. Colors have frequencies. Higher quality fabrics give more pleasant sensations on the body and can elevate your mood. These are all ways to think about and incorporate style into your manifesting. 

Style And Spirituality 

Lauren shares the inspiring story of how her journey as a celebrity stylist became unfulfilling which led her to private clients. She realized it wasn’t just the clothes but the entire process that added to the client’s confidence. As Lauren continued to work on herself to better serve her clients, they actually became interested in her spiritual practice as well. So the marriage of the two just naturally evolved to teach people how to use intuition versus impulse when it comes to style.

Biggest Struggle of Intuitives Right Now 

As much as we may culturally identify with “the struggle is real”, the reality is that the struggle is NOT real. We have to break free of that “vortex of fear” scarcity creates. The more conscious we stay about the reality of abundance, the more we can help heal that scarcity mindset for ourselves and the collective.

Fear can be addictive to the ego. The opposite of that is embracing an attraction mindset that is free of worry and doubt. The simple knowing that whatever you need exists for you and is available to you. All you need to do is match the vibration of it and it will flow to you nearly effortlessly.

As we move into a new year we often think about new intentions and what we are releasing. Today Whitney shares her New Year’s release ritual ceremony so you can reflect, release and recenter before starting this new cycle. Get yourself a pen and paper and take part in the bowl burning ceremony in this episode. 

The Void & Transition 

The holidays can be really draining, but then there is the week in between Christmas and New Years that can feel odd. The old year hasn’t quite ended and the new year hasn’t started either. Lot’s of businesses are still shut down in holiday mode and you are left to consider all the things from this past year you didn’t quite get done. But we get the opportunity to look at this void as a transition cycle for us. Transition/Change can be triggering for some, but it can be a way to ease into something new without it being jarring or a shock to the system. Here are some tips on performing your own release ceremony during your cycle of transition.  

 Get Grateful 

Grab a journal and pen and call in your Spirit Guide team and higher self. Focus on your heart center and invite in a feeling of love. Begin to write down everything you are grateful for from the past year. The good and the not so good. What lessons have you learned that you are grateful for? What cycles have you completed? Write it all down in your journal in a list of all the things for which you feel authentic gratitude. 

What Are You Releasing? 

Next, on a new page, right down all the things from this past year you are releasing. All the things you no longer want in your energy going forward. People, careers, old patterns, dreams, or disruptive thoughts. Write them all down. Release with gratitude for the lesson it has taught you. Set the intention that you release it all in a healthy and balanced way.   

Let That Stuff Go! 

The next step is to burn your releasing list. Listen as Whitney shares several methods on how to do this in a safe and effective way. If burning is not an option for you, she also shares a few other ways to finish your release ceremony. 

Filling What Was Released 

The Universe loves a void and will fill it. So we need to set the intention of what we want to fill the space that was left by what we just released. Ask your Spirit Guide team and Higher Self for inspiration and write down all the wonderful things you are calling in. Think about the emotions of how those things will feel and any actionable items you can take to draw them in. Write them in present tense as if they are already existing and create affirmations around them. Ask your Guides to call in opportunities aligned with those intentions. Send love to the paper and burn this paper as well, sending its energy and intention out into the Universe.

Attention ALL Empaths!! In this episode Whitney is going to be giving you some tips to help protect your energy as we approach the holiday season. Regardless of what emotions the holidays bring up for you, it can still be a very draining time of year for the empath. She’ll give you some tools you can use now, or anytime really, to protect your energy and hopefully forgo any overwhelm we typically face during such a social season. 

Clearing Your Energy 

As an empath you need to make clearing your energy a priority. You tend to soak up the energy around you like a sponge, however they don’t always release it from their system on a regular basis. That can leave you confused as to whether what you are feeling is your or something you picked up along the way. All the holiday centered activities like shopping, parties, family gatherings, etc. put you in a position to be bombarded with the energy of those around you. Therefore you can see how important it is to remove that energetic residue regularly. Whitney shares several methods to do this such as salt baths, showers of light, and others. 

Alone Time 

Alone time gives you an opportunity to tune out the noise of the emotions and energy of others and tune back into what you are really feeling and experiencing. Being mindful of how we feel and are affected in certain situations or around certain people can help you bring focus on how to set your intentions before your next interaction to keep your energy clear and protected. Listen as Whitney gives some great ideas for how to set appropriate boundaries to get the time alone you need. 

Say No 

It is ok to say no if there is something that you really don’t feel aligned to do or a place you don’t want to go. If you force yourself to do the thing or go to the place, you will probably not be the happiest version of yourself in that experience. So think of it that way. Is it fair to everyone else to have a stressed, sad, or just generally unhappy you? In all honesty, the event would probably have been more enjoyable for all involved if you held the boundary of no. 

Watch What We Consume 

Whether it's all the unhealthy snacks, treats and family feasts we consume that are not part of our typical diet or its the exposure to news, gossip, and unhealthy conversation at the gatherings we attend; as we take them in they can leave us feeling very heavy & tired in many different ways. Whitney gives you some unique perspectives on how to be more mindful of the energy you are consuming during this time of year. 

Protection 

You have a Protector Spirit Guide so utilize them this time of year. They are here to watch over you on the earth plane. If you know you are going into a situation or gathering that will not be the most comfortable for you, call on your Protector and ask them to buffer the energy of others so that you can remain open and balanced. Listen as Whitney describes another exercise you can do to protect your own energy called the Aura Bubble.

Emily explains how she’s been feeling and noticing with her clients is that there is a collective heaviness right now. She feels that as more and more of us are called to do our soul work we set our intention to lighten the vibration, however there may be forces on the planet that are trying to keep the consciousness low. This can cause that feeling of “one step forward two steps back” in our business and life in general. 

Emily’s Take on Entities: What Are They? 

Emily doesn’t characterize an “entity” as either good or bad, but more as an energy that is not particularly helpful. It is just an unwelcome or unwanted energy in your field. For us to maintain a high vibration we need to identify it and release it if it is not of benefit and for our highest good. Emily discusses some methods to do that to keep your field clear and open to your alignment and next level. 

Emily’s Origin Story 

Listen as Emily shares how she knew she would be a healer of some sort and help people from a very early age and that she was destined to own her own business. She talks about how those realizations led her to open up her intuition. Once she connected consciously to her Guides she found the guidance for her business. 

Tips to Clear Energy and Get Back Into Alignment 

First you need to identify what alignment is to you. Alignment is ease, joy, bliss, expansion, and light. And the opposite is true when we are not. Tightness, constriction, overwhelm, anxiety are all symptoms of not being aligned with your soul. Think of going with the flow versus swimming against the current. Listen as Emily and Whitney discuss how following Spirit and getting into their highest alignment has looked for them in the past. 

A Common Block to Alignment 

Perfectionism is a huge block to moving forward. You have to take inspired action even if all the parts in pieces aren’t perfectly in place yet. This can lead to excuses as to why we aren’t attaining our goals. But in the end, we have to do the work, even if it's messy at first, to reach the end result we’ve set for ourselves, whether in life or in business.
