King Solomon knew what to ask for, and that's why God answered his prayers.  By following the example of King Solomon we can learn how God can answer our prayers.  The key is knowing what to ask for!

When someone does not understand the mission of the Church it is easy to be frustrated with Her. In this homily I propose that the mission of the Church is "to preserve" the treasures that Jesus gave us, and not to change them.  The Church exists to create stability in a world that constantly changes and pressures the Church to change. 

Jesus comes not to stay with us, but to take us with Him.  In this homily we are reminded of ways we can be with the Lord by moving towards Him, rather than expecting Jesus to stay with us.
