The Northern Territory government plans to reinstate spit hoods in youth detention, nearly eight years after the practice was banned.
Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro is expected to introduce amendments to the Youth Justice Act in Parliament today which would see spit hoods return to youth detention centres alongside other changes to youth crime laws.
