In these chapters, the Traitors and Kyralia fail to come to a deal that would involve the Kyralians aiding the Traitors in attacking the Sachakans, and the Traitors say "Fuck it" and just go ahead and do it anyway because that seems like a damn good attittude to have regarding ending slavery. I'm delighted to see how much support they have, and I can't wait to see what goes on later with Dannyl and his little friend when the slaves begin revolting.

I am really surprised by the massive twist in these chapters, which is when Sonea goes out into the wasteland and finds a bunch of small magical stones planted in different areas to keep the land from ever being fertile again. While a part of me wants Sonea to be right about who planted them because that's a total baller move, I'm also a little bit hoping that it's something even more surprising than that.
