I'm in love with this show, but this episode in particular gives me some high hopes for what's coming up in Rebecca's future. She's on a plane having a therapy session, and while we all saw her sit down beside her therapist, it turns out that's not actually who she's talking to. It's all in her head.
OR IS IT?
Rebecca starts to see some of her more damaging patterns laid out bare, and she's rightfully alarmed to see how many times the men in her life overtook her own goals and desires. Also, she has failed to see love coming at her from places that weren't her romantic relationships, and she needs to learn to value that more.
I hope this is a sign she's going to move past Josh! Fingers crossed.

This episode is BONKERS. We finally get more information on what happened to fuck poor Peter up so bad on the night that Mikkel disappeared, and it's even more tragic than I thought because this poor dude just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He winds up needing help, and then Claudia shows up, and suddenly there's a whole thing.
Meanwhile, there's the whole thing with Jonas...and I'm really flummoxed about how he's the one responsible for opening the rift and how he winds up thrown into the future. Hoo boy I can't wait till the next episode!

This series of chapters is absolutely packed with different small mysteries pulling the reader in different directions. I'm really hoping that I start to get answers to some of these questions soon, because I'm starting to lose track.
The most pressing issue, for me at least, is that Raymel Tacsis is possessed by something (or somethings) horrible, and apparently that thing(s) can leap out and attach itself to someone else if they make contact. This leads to Nona thinking that perhaps she's been poisoned, which doesn't make a ton of sense to me because it seemed that she sensed there was more going on in that moment than a simple poison...but I guess we need to get her to the caves in the middle of the night to stumble upon the potential burglary of the Shipheart.

Soooooo...funny story. Here's the thing. I got a little overexcited and I just...kept reading. So this one episode is actually going to cover 100 pages rather than the usual 50. MY BAD!
I just was so INTERESTED. We start out in the well, with our crew heading under into the dark. It's not so bad at first, because we've got Lirael's light to see by...but there's something else down there, and soon the light is snuffed out. This leads to one of the creepiest scenes in the books so far, and we say goodbye to Mogget.
Except we don't.

This episode is the one where Rebecca finally starts to get real with herself. It does take a minute, though.
First, of course, we start out with the requisite excitement on her part from her thinking this one kiss means that Josh is just going to be with her now. He quickly makes it clear that's not what's happening, and she's plunged into a pit of despair after he comes clean with Valencia and she forgives him. This leads to one of the most relateable songs ever, where she realizes that she is, in fact, the bad guy.
This episode is just....I get it, Rebecca. Oh boy do I get it.

This duo contains perhaps my very favorite episode of the series so far, which is all about life at the Gravity Falls public pool. There's so much to love about this, from Dipper's temporary new job, to Mabel's temporary new boyfriend, to Soos's determination to free the duck floats from slavery, to Stan's rivalry with Gideon for the best pool chair. IT'S ALL SO GOOD!
Then there's the episode where all our people switch bodies due to a magic carpet, and chaos ensues. I really love any episode that focuses on the relationship between Mabel and Dipper. It's so sweet!

This finale episode made me cry and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I know that the relationship that the girls have with James has been fraught with bullying and whatnot, but also there's something more and I'm glad that the show has decided to address it. Also, there's something so important about getting to see a kid James's age reject a toxic parent. I know that it's rarely that easy, but I love to see it depicted.

This was an interesting series of chapters because we jump ahead in time and get to see Nona a lot further on in her studies. And by "studies" I mean her ability to kick ass and take names. Unfortunately for her, when it's time for her to use a blade she decides to grab the same knife that she hid in blade storage after it was lodged in her headboard, and there's something about that knife that gets some of the sisters' attention.
Oh, also there's a new student who is even shadier than Clera, and I'm not sure what to make of her, but she's MAYBE more of a badass than Nona. In a fight, Nona gets her ass whooped to the point that her new friend Ara steps in...but Nona winds up paying the price anyway.

Well this was a really weird one, but I liked it because of how much it focused on the overall bus plotline, which is the thing that I'm absolutely stymied by every time I try to piece things together. Turns out that Kendall and the Fitzpatricks might have been in bed together (heh) this whole time, and possibly were in cahoots to take out the bus full of innocent people.

This episode was a really big surprise to me because I wasn't even aware it was the season finale, so I wasn't prepared for the dramatic turn that the whole story takes. Damn but this all caught me off-guard!
It's hard to know where to begin when talking about this episode, so instead I will just talk about the end; in an attempt to save Fillory, the gang gets together and tries to stop Umber from ruining everything. This culminates in his death, as well as his brother's, and as a result their parent(s) decide(s) to turn off the magic faucet and stop everyone from accessing magic. Well, almost everyone, but the faeries still seem to be able to do their thing.
