Now that our crew is done with the mission (or so they think anyway), can they ever go back? If they did, what happens? Does the body they're in die, or just go braindead? Or is part of the mission that they have to stay this way forever? I have so many questions about how this works, the training they get, the people who are chosen and why, and I can't wait to find out the answers.

This episode is really interesting because it introduces us to a couple of different and new ideas. First off, we find out that doing "battle magic" is actually really difficult, takes a ton of focus, and generally requires a clear head. In other words, not really what our gang is famous for.
Then there's the whole thing with Julia. She's out here trying to figure out how to get in touch with a god, and it looks like she's really the only person who has a shot since her try at the spell was the first time it's actually worked.
Then there's the whole thing with that threesome that I don't think really happened. Let's just pretend we didn't see that.

This one is particularly dear to my heart because it basically involves a fantasy scenario that any competent person has probably had many many times: getting to take over your place of work and turn it inside out until it runs the way it's supposed to. *sighs dreamily* I love working for myself.
Mostly, though, this episode involves Rebecca trying to convince herself and Greg that she's not terrible, and she does a lot of terrible things to achieve it. In the end, she manages to see what she's doing at least a little bit, but it's painful to watch her perform for someone else.

These chapters, we get more of a look at Tessia and her training, which proves her to be really powerful and in better control than Jayan was within the same amount of time. So he's a little salty, and I'm over here waiting for him to realize that maybe he's a little in love with Tessia because that seems like it's coming.

I can't wait to see what happens once they all road trip together!

I'm totally shocked that I watched this episode once already, because I didn't even remember a thing. And this makes even less sense considering that it's a really good episode of television and has a super compelling setup.

I'm impressed with this show's ability to depict terrible shit without seeming to glorify it the way that shows like...oh, say...Game Of Thrones does.

This is the start of a new story set in the same world as Sabriel, and it follows nearly 15 years after the events of the previous book. There's a lot of mystery surrounding just who Lirael is, and I'm of course low-key wanting her to be related to Sabriel in some way.
Meanwhile, there's some new torment on the horizon, as a dude surfaces who apparently can harness a dark power even stronger than Kerrigor's. Me no lilkey.

So this episode was...well, it was what it was. It's unfortunate that a show which had handled an issue of transgender people so well in the beginning of the first season had to backslide like this, and I kind of talk about that for a minute. Because this wasn't great.
Otherwise, I'm really interested in how the PCHers are going to respond to Weevil setting up Thumper, and I'm also eager to find out what kind of dirt Keith winds up uncovering to defend Jackie's dad. But for the record, I'm still not prepared to like Jackie.

I'm super into this show, and I'm not afraid to show it. These episodes are about Mabel and Dipper's love lives, respectively. Mabel, as usual, has a lot more going on in that area than Dipper, but she's not always happy about it. Gideon is a pure nightmare.
And then there's Wendy, who is a totally worthy candidate for Dipper to crush on, and I definitely approve. I want them to grow up and realize what's been in front of them the whole time.
