In this trio of episodes, we find out about the deal that Robin made to turn herself into the marines in exchange for their restraint in attacking Water 7 because she was so intent on saving the friends that she made in the Strawhats. We also see that there's a distinct similarity in the way that Robin ignores the potential consequences of her research and the way that Frankie made weapons without thinking through how they might be used.
