I have to say, while I'm super sad that this show is over, I feel that this finale was a perfect stopping place, in terms of the overall arc for the show's growth as well as tonally being a little melancholy but mostly hopeful. I think it's a good indicator that a TV series ended when it should if you're feeling both sad but satisfied.

This was a fun parents-only episode about the wildest night of their lives back in '77 when they were all in school living through some of the worst of the violence of the Troubles while trying to just have normal lives.
